From the host to my table to paying my bill, this restaurant for me personally is the absolute best in Houston in terms of hospitality. The test felt so timeless and cozy, comfortable without so much pizazz which made me feel at home. Hector was my primary server and he was just phenomenal. Gonzo who poured my wine was sweet and his suggestions were top notch. Christa who cleared my table after a free my finished dishes, sweet and caring. I wis I caught the name of the gentleman who served me my food but I never got a chance to look at his tag. But I want to thank him as well. Constant smiles all night and I felt the genuine care of them ensuring I was enjoying my time at the restaurant. I honestly cannot wait to come back on my next trip. I wish the staff here continuous success and a wonderful and safe holidays.

The Houstonian has been such a staple in our family's life. My husband's uncle lived there for many, many years and it was a place for countless celebrations. Weddings. Holidays parties. Baby showers. Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Fundraisers. So nice to be able to get together with the extended family for a beautiful breakfast on Thanksgiving Friday with around 50 family members. Grandparents. Sisters. Brothers. Aunts. Uncles. Nieces and nephews. So lucky to be able to have all of my immediate family come to create more family memories while reminiscing about prior events. It has always been a tradition to get together for Thanksgiving, but this time was truly magical as the family tree keeps growing and growing. So much love! For breakfast, we shared a couple of salmon Benedicts and pancakes for our nuclear family of five. So full from the Thanksgiving cousin lunch the day before. Service was great. Our hostess even took a beautiful photo with four generations on the patio. So cute to see the littlest members of the crew run around climbing in and out of chairs or laps as my children made plans to visit their first and second cousins. Nice to catch up and feel the joy and happiness even though the family is more spread out. So lucky to enjoy these special times. Making memories at The Houstonian.

Absolutely love this restaurant! From the scenery to the food everything is great. Beautiful location & very romantic. I went here w/my partner for our anniversary and I'm glad we did! Workers were super attentive and nice. Even got free champagne and free dessert since they knew it was our anniversary! :) The food was absolutely delicious as well. Definitely on the expensive side but worth it 100%. This is a Texas/American, Mexican, and creole/Louisiana fusion cuisine. - Wood fired gulf oysters had a really good sauce and were perfectly cooked 10/10 - Smoked blue crab claws had a delicious creamy gumbo like sauce and definitely don't have too much meat on them but was still super delicious. 9.5/10 - Lamb shank birria fell right off the bone and super rich and flavorful 9/10 - Bacon wrapped boudin stuffed quail was sooo good and had different flavors and textures that tied well together with a bit of spice as well. 10/10 Also both drinks were 10/10 and very strong

I was served promptly for cocktails at The Bar and the outdoor seating weather was absolutely perfect between 5-6 in spring... they give you complimentary mixture of snacks at the bar with your drink... I also ordered the wagyu carpaccio and all the ingredients were there but they were slightly unbalanced. The lemon was overpowering ever so slightly so I found if I ate less of the greens it was saturated on - it was much better - of course wagyu melts in the mouth and the blue veined cheese was SO AMAZINg I love blue cheese anything - it left me wanting for more blue cheddar to balance out the sour of the lemon - the shallots added a wonderful crunch to the medley of textures but I would've, again liked all the flavors and textures in proportion to one another. More of the cheddar, surely. It was delicious regardless - Wagyu carpaccio can't not be delightful. Service was lovely aside from the initial greeting at the bar the Madam seemed like she was not having the best day... I'm a bit grumpy on my menses maybe she's on hers. My waitress outdoors was so sweet and kind. I also enjoyed a blue bonnet beverage and it was very fresh! The playing was absolutely beautiful. They did bring out S&P grinders - I think I should have tried a dash with the last bite to compare the flavor see if it enhanced it at all.

The Tribute at The Houstonian is an absolute delight! My husband and I went there for our anniversary, and we couldn't have had a better meal, ambience and service for our special day. Big shout out to Gonzo for making our night! The food was spectacular! We started with the wedge salad and crab claws (oh! And do notttt skip on the rolls and butter dear lord, I could've eaten those all night!). I had the redfish special that came with lump crab meat and my husband had the filet. They were both cooked & seasoned to perfection! Don't skip this place, especially during the holidays. The decorations are just spectacular!

First. The service here is phenomenal. And that's a given. We've been here multiple times and have always had the best experiences. Second. The wine room. Ambience is perfect for a special date or celebration. It is a private reservation that you have to book outside the Tribute but it's totally worth it for a special occasion! Third. The food. We were celebrating our first anniversary at the Wine Room and had a menu designed for the occasion, so keep that in mind - every item was perfectly cooked and plated and DELICIOUS. It was also a tasting menu so these portions are "smaller" to keep us from getting overwhelmed - that said, it was still very filling! -Oysters -Arugula Salad - this is my favorite salad... and I don't eat salad regularly. The champagne vinaigrette and candied nuts pairs with the feta cheese and blueberries... perfection. I ate it all. -Shrimp and Scallop Rissoto - MY FAVE. I would eat this all day every day if I could. So light and yet so flavorful! The risotto was cooked perfectly and the mushrooms were a nice surprise! -Filet Mignon -Dessert Sampler - Sugar Overload!! But everything was so decadent and the perfect end to our meal!

Dropped by for a quick bite and had a wonderful evening at this Houstonian hotel restaurant. Dinner was great and complemented with excellent service, wine and conversation with the sommelier and executive chef. The decor is rustic chic and the dining room was intimate even with ~30 people at the peak. The food was great including a burger that our daughter scored 9 out of 10. My lamb was very good and the waiter's suggestion of gumbo was a hit. Can't wait to come back.

My first visit to Tribute was great! The scenery, staff, service, and food offered a great first ( but certainly not last time) experience! The Peach Upside Down cake is a must try item on their menu.

Giorgio's is one of two restaurants located in the beautiful Hotel Granduca across from Uptown Park. This is a very nice and upscale property with both valet and self parking available. When I made the reservation I initially chose inside dining but after arriving we decided to take advantage of their offer to sit outside to take advantage of their lovely patio by the pool and the very pleasant outdoor temperature that evening after a nice rain. We were seated near the door where the pianist was playing nice music inside that allowed us to enjoy it. Giorgio's HRW 3 course dinner this year was $39 and I ordered the Burrata Panzanella Salad as my first course followed by Cavatelli Bolognese for the second finishing with the Flourless Chocolate Cake for the third. While waiting we were brought some bread along with trays of peanuts, potato chips and popcorn which was a little unusual but no one complained about free food. I must say that all of my 3 courses were excellent tasting. The Burrata salad had a large serving of the above named cheese with fresh tomatoes, olives and ciabatta bread that was cool in temperature and I could have eaten another serving because it was so good. The pasta bolognese was equally delicious except warm in temperature with the Akaushi beef making a delicious bolognese sauce over the cavatelli. Finally the cake was fresh and full of chocolate flavor with berries and Nutella alongside a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream. This was a perfect finish for what was a fine meal. The outdoor setting was also perfect and one that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat. So why do I only give 4 stars? For some reason not understood by anyone in our party was the fact that this entire experience took us 3 hours from being seated to paying the checks for our 3 course dinners. They didn't appear to be too busy that night so I'm not sure why it took so long. Our group did enjoy our time together and filled it with good conversation but still this dinner should have taken at least 1 hour less. Talking about a slow relaxed pace for dinner....this was a little too slow. I would still be happy to return.

The menu was too limited for me, but I was at this point, way beyond hungry to drive around. So I'm opting to snack on a charcuterie board here...and then go somewhere else after. The origami ceiling, lively bar, friendly staff, unique cocktails, fun bathroom, and photo booth in the corner made for an unforgettable experience. My friend said it was the busiest he had ever seen the place, and it was loud. But we got some awesome drinks that I swore I could've taken pics of -- the lighting was a little crazy, so I think I ultimately changed my mind with that. One was the periscope which was a refreshing and summery gin drink... And I think I tried the naked and famous too because I like mezcal. I had already eaten so I skipped the restaurant the speakeasy's connected to, but I cannot wait to return to Houston outside of a Con so I can really go all out on exploring.
