Have had No Anchovies on my list for a while and was finally able to make it in! Great local spot in Tucson, right near U of A campus. We came during lunch time for the pizza. The options available are awesome! They have a great mix of traditional types of pies as well as their own signature pizzas. You order by the slice, but don't worry - the slices are HUGE. I tried the Hawaiian, Buffalo Chicken, and their Bacon Mac and Cheese pizza. All of them were very good, the Buffalo Chicken and Hawaiian were my favorites. There is seating out front and hightops inside, along with a bar. Some TVs scattered throughout too. At night, this place turns into a club and has an upstairs to it as well! Came here for lunch as it was walking distance from our hotel! The pictures looked good and I liked that they had some variety! You can order by the slice so we did that! Was not busy around noon on a Saturday. We say on the patio which was nice and they had some screens playing sports. And a fun playlist, love all the throwback songs! Service was good as well! I got a slice of cheese and a margherita slice, my husband got cheese and pepperoni, and we both shared with our toddler! The cheese slice was like a 3/5, the margherita was like 2/5. The guy that served us the pizza was very rude and condescending we had ordered about 3 different pizza then he had asked anything else in a very rude and annoyed tone we said we would like to order a salad and then he said I ASK IF YOU WANTED ANY OTHER PIZZA. Top two of my favorite pizza joints. I've had pizza delivered from here several times but this was the first time dining in... and it was a good experience. For one, they have a surprisingly large selection of pizzas by the slice - at least 4 vegetarian options, chicken and meat options. I got a slice of the potato bacon pizza and chicken/basil/ ricotta... both were so good and filling. I ended up really liking the baked potato... it was different but in a "I will order it again way". Also sampled the buffalo chicken and the meat one... all of them good. The onion rings were decent onion rings but I had wished I had ordered the garlic knots instead (which I have during delivery orders)... yummy garlicky buttery carbs. Service was pleasant and quick. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Near the college and exudes college vibes as expected- loud music that you need to yell over, several tv screens, decent bar and good beer options and later at night on weekends gets extra busy and social. Apart from parking being a issue as you would have outside any college campus area... This place does have good pizza overall and a good selection too. It's a good place to get pizza for the campus or if you're having like a campus event. Like a club meeting or something that's when it's best go to a place like this for food. The service overall is fine nothing to talk much about there and ambiance always has a good smell because of pizza. There aren't many complaints other than the pricing being a bit much but this is still a good place go if you live on campus. read more

Up until today, I thought No Anchovies was pretty great. The pizza is unusual but very tasty. Today, I ordered two spaghettis. I didn't get mine, though. They put an improperly sealed container of spaghetti in a brown paper bag, thereby ruining my pair of new gray corduroy pants, as the spaghetti broke out of the bag and went tumbling to the ground. I tried to call the restaurant, to report this problem. I mean, they did it, they should fix it. Their answering machine said they were not available. The end result is I have no meal. My son has his spaghetti and i get some of the sides I ordered for us both. I got a refund for $16.20 that covers the cost of the ruined spaghetti. "Oh, you can order it again! So, what's the problem?" The problem is I shouldn't have to pay another delivery fee and service fee, that would cost almost as much as the spaghetti, just to order it again. Or, have to sit here waiting, letting the rest of the food get cold. Or, eat my meal, that I paid for and I did not mess up on at all, in any order other than how I want to eat it. If they had answered their phone, maybe they could have just brought me a spaghetti. Or replaced the fried zucchini that got cold and basically inedible while I waited. Instead, they get a bad review. I get no meal. I can't afford to pay all those fees against for just one dish of spaghetti. The problem is, I wasted my time placing an order, trying to find a way to get Grub Hub to acknowledge the problem, trying to get them to further see reason that I didn't just lose out on $16.20 because the service fee is $3-$4 and the delivery driver is going to expect at least $5, as they should, so that leaves me out $8-$9 more than they refunded me, if I order again. Which, you know, does not include the cost of my ruined pants! (sigh) In the meantime, my fried zucchini got cold. Since the renovation, this spot has a strong bar/nightclub first, resturant second kind of vibe. If you're here to watch a game, grab a drink with friends, and hang out it's a good spot. They parbake and reheat their pizzas by the slice to serve at scale, you'll get a fresher pizza by ordering it whole. Overall, it's just good enough but their very good ranch makes it tastier. Be sure to pay attention when you order and wait for your food. I've had my order handed to other people and salad order sent out incorrectly because they're just so busy. We are big fans of No Anchovies' pizza and have been for years. They have a nice variety of big specialty slices and every kind I've tried has been great. I also really enjoy their salads and the specialty tots are fun. We recently needed an event space for about 40 on very short notice and without a sizable rental fee-- No Anchovies delivered. The manager, Matt reserved half of the upstairs for us and provided a bartender. He said since it's summer, there'd be no charge for the space and he didn't lock us into a minimum purchase requirement. Our group was very happy! No one minded having to go downstairs to get food and having a bartender just a few feet away was great. I will definitely keep No Anchovies at the top of my mind for future events (or just a tasty meal.) read more

We had to stop there and reminisce on the fun times we used to have there, such fond memories of parent weekend, going there, and our daughters boyfriend used to be a DJ there ( Juke ). Horrible experience! I took my family here for pizza. We spent over $200 and watched the Thursday night football. When we finished, we went to use the restroom (9:20pm). We were told we could not use the restroom as the restaurant had turned into a 21 and over club. My 21 year old son and I said we are both over 21. Alexander, the manager, was called over and told us we could "f&@! Off". I told him we'd spent over $200 dollars and this was unprofessional. He told me he was the head of security and a manager and there was nothing I could do about it. I hope the owner reaches out so I can tell them in person how horrible this was. Ever since coming to Tucson from the east coast I have been looking for a good slice of pizza. I finally tried No Anchovies last night and got the closest thing that resembled a New York slice so far! It was a little intimidating to actually get the pizza (especially on a Saturday evening), as the place is a large hangout spot/nightclub. Also, not all of the specialty pies are available by slice every night, so if you want pizza by the slice, you have to take your chances with what is available that night. I took two Mediterranean slices to-go. I would say it was a little pricey for two slices of pizza, my total being $13, but they are very large slices. I loved the ratio of crust to cheese. I have found that a lot of Tucson pizza has very thin crust, but this was much better! The toppings were also pretty good. I will say my stomach did feel a little upset afterwards, but nothing too major and I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza so I would definitely come again! I came here with my friends on a Thursday night and asked the bartender for a Long Island iced tea. she made it for me and she ended up giving me the wrong drink. when I went to ask her if she could give me the right one, she started screaming in my face telling me that I was wrong and that I was stupid and needed to leave. I had found out that night my grandmother had cancer and my friends took me out for a night to forget about it so to have to deal with this behaviour from a bartender was completely rude and unprofessional.
