I would honestly say this place is a 3.5 star. We went on a off-time in the middle of the week, and it was dead; just one other table. I ordered the Pizza Port Amber which was tasty on a hot day! We ordered the Italian salad, which was very good with a tangy dressing. The pizzas were good, not great. Honestly I had a little bit of a hard time finding some that seemed appealing. They had a bunch that just didn't make me want to try them. We ended up with the Hawaiian and the Philly. The Hawaiian was my favorite of the two; it had good flavor with the pork and pineapple. So we came here only because someone told us how amazing the pizza was. I think they meant to say how amazingly bad it is. So we arrived and our table was dirty and sticky. So we're the menus. All I could think was how dirty the kitchen must be if the front of the house was this dirty. The lemonade was gross and the beer was warm. It's hard to pick places to eat in Tucson, you get turned around directionally, parking is a challenge, and our luck wasn't that strong with "good food". We stumbled on Trident right across from the U of A and so glad we did! We ordered salads and pizzas...the Greek and pepperoni both with cauliflower crusts, just cooked to perfection. They have like five salad options and we were full from that early on. It takes a little bit to get your food because the pizza are all made to order of course, so be ready but also be patient. Wish we were able to have one of these in CA, so enjoy AZ people. This place is a hidden gem. read more

I have been to all of the other tridents and they have good bar food, so I thought I would give this pizza place a try. We had a 10" sausage, pepperoni and pineapple pizza and it was okay. I wasn't impressed and if I go back, I wouldn't order the pizza. Crust was dry and all of toppings fell off the pizza when I tried to eat it. It was a mediocre pizza. The chicken Parmesan sliders were good, 2 for $6. We had the lemon pepper wings and they were god as well. Service was good. They have a full bar and TVs to watch th games. Came in for a late dinner. The place is open until 11 or so during the week. Although there wasn't a lot of people the pizza took a while. Got the chicken bbq pizza small. Pizza was decent, had too much onion for me but it was good. Prices or moderate, $14 for a small pizza. Why I didn't like about thiS place is that they charged $.50 for ranch. read more

Great happy hour! I've been here a couple times and they have a pretty good menu, tasty pizza, and great tots! The Truffle Tots are served up golden brown with a side of garlic aioli. They are packed with flavor as they're made with truffle oil, parmesan and seasoning The only reason why I've given the Trident Pizza Pub 4/5 is because the atmosphere isn't the best. It's too loud, can't hear the friends you came with even when they sit right next to you! Some sound absorbing panels on the ceiling or walls would benefit them SO much. read more

This is a place I have continued to frequent during the pandemic and I really enjoy it. It is close to my house and the girls are always so great with us. They somewhat recently expanded their patio to curve around the entrance area and I love it! I tend to feel 'safer' sitting outside so it's nice to have more options. The food is always traditional Trident standards and tasty, they actually just added several new menu items and while I'm sure they're all great the pizza rolls have me hooked!! You definitely don't see these very often so a friend and I were super excited when we saw them and have ordered them each time we've been back since. I think my only and small complaint would be that the beer doesn't get rotated too often but they do have many to choose from along with a full bar. The vegan gluten free pie was delicious!! The crust was perfectly crisp without being charred burnt (which happens quite a bit at other pizzerias when it's a gluten-free crust for some reason) the vegan cheese wasn't mushy, gooey or slimy. The ratio of toppings to crust was perfect. Two thumbs up:) I have to leave a star off bc of the price. Its quite spendy at $15.00 for a personal size. Went with a group of 8 and sat immediately for lunch. The space is pretty small inside but there is a large patio. The lunch special (half a salad and 2 slices of pizza) is cheap and filling! Takes a little bit of time, so have patience! However, you will walk out of there smelling like wood burning smoke, so beware! read more

Dressing was great serving size was big also topped with fresh grated parmesan cheese. 9.2/10. Pizza was plain cheese. This is cooked hot and fast in a wood fired brick oven. It is a floppy pizza which I enjoy. Sauce was very good and crust was perfectly cooked. 9.3/10. The wings..... I usually get lemon pepper or regular hot today I went with habanero jerk wings. They weren't as spicy as I thought they would be but it's ok because it made up for it in a flavor bomb of jerk seasonings. 8.6/10. Service was outstanding and prompt. Very friendly and lots of smiles. The interior is nice. Could use a little fan and roof dusting but other than that there's a wonderful pub feeling and the smell of the pizza oven makes me happy. Came here to watch the Champions League Final with a few friends, had never been before. They put it on for us with no audio. Ordered the meatball hero (sub) meat was dry and came with basically no marinara sauce asked for a side of it to make it edible only ate half and the mac and cheese was okay. Asked for audio repeatedly they said somebody was watching gold which was a lie. Then when the people that were watching left they started playing classic rock, asked for the audio to the game again said they couldn't. Then got a request to play women's softball and they out it on after we had sled for soccer audio about 4 times. Tried this place way back when it opened and it wasn't that good. Went back last night to see if things had improved. Went with some friends we ordered a variety of apps and a pizza and beers. Beers were warm, mugs weren't cold enough and neither was the beer . Taste was good but would have been way better cold. Apps were missing seasoning. Mac n cheese was ok but bland, wings were mediocre to say the least. Pizza was by far the biggest joke. It was super floppy, had sausage link slices on it and pepperoni was almost non existent. Crust was horrible, what a big fall from grace from when this place was grimaldis. The only stars of the place were the pepperoni cast iron app, however it came out way way after all the rest of the food. But at least you could taste pepperoni on it. The server was awesome, drinks were filled always updating up, checking on us. A+ for the service but C- on the food. Would I go here again, probably not, unless the change the pizza dough. Absolutely the worst customer service i have ever experienced. I have now been here twice and both times i have left unhappy. The girl servers there are very rude and unhelpful. We waited over 40 minutes for two small pizza to go. Our pizzas had been sitting on the counter for serval minutes before they noticed and then decided to let me know. The bar tender at one point was drinking on the job I'm pretty sure. Which is probably why she didn't notice my pizzas sitting on the counter by their computer. When i asked the girl sever with the brown ponytail if they were ready she brushed me off and said idk. She in particular is rude and should not be in food service. The other time i came in she was our server and was also not very friendly or helpful. This is the last time i will be coming in. If i were the owners of this establishment i would highly reconsider who i have working there. Pizza isn't even that good for the service to be that bad. Embarrassing. read more
