We love everything about this place point from the staff to the location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can take your food right outside and sit and watch the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their coffee and food is excellent. They even have a frozen freezer full of food you can take home, which we have and it's just as good.

I stopped at this cafe for breakfast while driving back home on a Hwy 1 weekend trip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has got the views of the ocean and is very pretty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order at the counter and go pick a table. They'll serve your food at the table. We ordered the banana bread, bacon pie, ham breakfast sandwich and cappuccino. The ham breakfast sandwich was very good. The runny sunny side up egg along with the nicely toasted sandwich bread and ham tasted divine. Banana bread was nice, but had nuts only on the top edge. It would have been nice if there were nuts throughout the bread. The bacon pie was fine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bets part of the cafe was hands down the amazing ocean view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is Gualala Bluff trail along the side of the cafe. We walked for a bit there after finishing our breakfast and it was nice!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Food, Service, Ambiance??? Yes, yes and yes! What a wonderful spot in Gualala, CA to grab a wonderful breakfast. If you're ever in this remote part of the Northern California coast, definitely stop in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute and they sell ALL kinds of things.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Believe it of not, besides the amazing assortment of pastries, pies and cakes, you can walk away with some of the most beautiful locally grown beef. Yes, BEEF! I'll be driving home tomorrow with a hot mocha and some organic ribeyes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is cute as a button as well, and the staff was warm, helpful and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A 5 star experience in a 10 star area. Cheers, Jim

It was so good we went two days in a row. Came up for a vacation and had to revisit the iconic Trinks. Been here once as a kid and it still smacks! We also got a pack of scones to go and OMG THE SMELL so good, they were buttery and delicious. In addition the coconut tart and cake we got were amazing in every bite! [[HIGHLIGHT]]With beautiful ocean views (and a trail right in the backyard),[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] amazing service, and delicious food we cant wait for the next time.

The food was fast and pretty good. My husband got a lentil bowl which he really liked. The breakfast tacos were ok but didn't have enough egg for my taste. They were very accommodating and easily subbed chorizo for avocado on my tacos and the avocado salsa was delicious!

After a morning of hiking the trails along the coast, I was ready for a great meal. Trinks didn't disappoint with their delicious fried chicken sandwich. You order and pay at the counter. The kind wait staff delivers the food to your table. I opted to sit outside and enjoyed the view. With our bellies full... we happily went on our merry way. This is such a great place for breakfast and lunch. Their pastries look sooooo good. Will have to pick some up the next time I visit.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute spot with a dog friendly patio![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We stopped for coffee, but I was wooed by the beautiful scones so ended up with a couple of pastries. The scones! What?! They were perfect! I ended up getting some frozen mini scones to take with me (and some carrot leek soup). Love that they have a freezer with goodies to go. Coffee was great, and everyone working was nice and helpful.

Trinks is a MUST TRY spot for those who are day-tripping or staying in the Southern Mendocino / Northern Sonoma Coastline. Their service is excellent, and the lady who took the order was very sweet. The food is amazing as well. I really enjoyed their well-known bacon pie, since the bacon was not too heavy in oil, and the spinach and the eggs inside complemented it. I tried the green smoothie and it was nice. It wasn't overly sweet, just the right amount of sugar and greens. I enjoy the oat bars, they had too. I was the right amount of sweetness and the fig paste and oat ratio was perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was pretty calm, since I went there around 9 AM, just make sure you go here when it is early.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love how convenient it is since this restaurant is just adjacent to CA Highway 1! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Gualala is a beautiful and remote gem that combines both stunning oceanic views and lush forests.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    BBLT added fries

Trinks is located in Gualala and is one of the few eateries in town opened 7 days a week. The cafe is family run and you have the option to sit outdoors in an open grass area that overlooks the ocean. While the cafe does have a warm cozy feel, the breakfast items we ordered were underwhelming and seemed overpriced. I ordered the Big Boy Breakfast ($16) which included 2 slices of bacon, 2 eggs any styles, a piece of toast and seasoned potatoes. My husband ordered the BBLT and added fries ($19) The country potatoes that came with the Big Boy Breakfast were undercooked and over seasoned. The BBLT was okay although the fries which cost extra, were awful. There were maybe 8 fries in total and had a soggy texture to them, like they were microwaved. Not good. Service was friendly and orders are taken at the counter, they give you a buzzer and you collect your food when the buzzer goes off. Overall the visit was a little disappointing, but that may be due to stopping in when they opened first thing in the morning. Will have to order something different next time around or stop in for lunch instead.

Found this place while researching for places to visit for my road trip up north. The reviews were not wrong. Definitely call ahead to reserve the morning buns! I didn't listen to the reviews and missed out but the rest of their items were delicious. We ordered: A lemon pound cake - light flavor of lemon which is preferred in my family. A pink concha - fresh and I loved how much sugar topping it had! I always feel places don't put enough (it's my fav part) so this one is one of my favorites. Pecan coffee cake - my family could not get enough of this. Kalamata Olive bread - how could we not try their fresh bread! And trust, it did not disappoint. Mississippi pot roast sandwich - "spectacular! Gimmie 14 of 'em"....was a little skeptical about the pepperoncini part of it but it actually gives it such a good flavor and little heat that was just right. Coffee - excellent Mocha - another favorite! loved how balanced it was and not overly sweet. Super friendly service! Inside was clean and charming. Looked exactly like the pictures inside and out. Definitely would recommend and definitely will be coming back again!

I noticed a queue outside of Franny's, so I just got into line and waited, not even knowing what I was waiting for! Let me tell you, this review is coming almost 2 years later because the baked good I discovered here was so delightful and so life changing that it has resulted in an insatiable obsession for me. I went up to the counter finally and, feeling overwhelmed by the selection and display case, asked the cashier what they would recommend. I ended up with a croissant, a cookie, and the cashier-recommended canneles. I didn't even eat the cannele until the following day, and it was pure bliss. Cute little pasty about 2in tall with a crispy, caramelized experiour and moist custardy 'cake' on the inside. I had never eaten anything like it. To this day, I search far and wide for canneles and will go to great lengths to secure them. They are a rare delight simply because of the artistry and precision and expensive tools/ingredients required to make them. Everybody, but everybody is standing in line at Cowlick's Ice Cream, waiting to get some great one-of-a-kind ice cream flavors, floats, and toppings in downtown Fort Bragg. They have regular cones, sugar cones, waffle cones, and my favorite, chocolate dipped waffle cones! Ice creams can be adorned with with toppings galore and surely you will want to eat a nutritious meal, but may just go back for more ice cream! My personal favorite ice cream is the Hokey Pokey Honeycomb ice cream (on rotation, it is not available all the time). It is creamy and filled with honeycomb candy from a local Fort Bragg candy store! (Unfortunately for us, their the candy retail shop closed). The hubby and offspring went for and enjoyed the more traditional Rocky Road ice cream. Next trip I plan to try their ice cream sammys! The shop is clean and spacious, with plenty of places to sit inside and enjoy ice cream or shakes while watching the goings on in downtown Fort Bragg. I have never been there when there wasn't a wait to order, but it is well worth it! Locals and tourists alike can be consulted on flavor, cone or float choices. The clock is conveniently broken because when enjoying ice cream, who really cares about the time? So yeah, go spoil your next meal with some Cowlick's Ice Cream goodness! They won't disappoint! If you by chance get addicted to the ice cream, I found the local grocery stores carry pints to go! Lucky us!
