Horrible experience, Please do not waste your time and money going to this place! Brought our car in to have a transmission coolant line leak repaired. I was supposed to wait to get an estimate or quote from them (because I was concerned about the price and quality of work from this place after reading all the reviews). I even called in to remind the front desk lady to give me a quote before fixing the car, but they DID NOT do so and decided to straight up fixing the car without my permission, the lady then called me a day later to let me know that the car was done, I was shocked to hear that as I was still expecting a quote from them. When I asked Ron (the manager) about it he said he got authorized permission to fix the car, which is a total lie as I never gave out any permission to anyone to fix the car. I was charged $1900 for replacing a transmission coolant line, 2 cooler fittings, and 6 fluid bottles. YES, $1900 for all those parts plus the labor. Ron told me they got all the parts from the dealer, I looked up the parts from the dealer and all the parts combined are roughly $400 max, but how they came up with the $1900? $1500 for the 3 hours of labor? It was wayyy overcharged. We couldn't do anything but had to pay for them with full of disappointment. and when we thought we were done, once we got the car there were still car parts left in the back seat that had not been installed on the car yet.... This whole experience was horrible from the front desk lady, the mechanic, to Ron the manager... We feel like we got scammed and ripped off at the same time... lesson learned, I should have read all the reviews before bringing my car there. I purchased a groupon for this place and made an appointment online. When I arrived the clerk HAD to have been on something or just having a bad day...he was snapping at others and talking to himself...wasn't very friendly or even phased or apologetic that they did not have my appointment on file. I waited almost 2 hours for my vehicle but hey...I didn't have anything going that Wednesday afternoon. One of the techs...short guy with brown hair...can't be a day over 19 was really sweet and apologized for the wait...he must've been new because he gave me some wrong information on my car. They did a decent job I guess...my maintenance lights are off...not sure if the groupon really helps...still believe I was over charged... Should have looked at the 2.5 star rating before using this place. They are a bunch of liars!!! They have scammed an elderly lady out of $2,100 and are now holding her car hostage if she doesn't pay. They said her timing chain broke, got a replacement one from the dealer, THEY broke that one and are now trying to charge an elderly lady $2,100 to get her broken car back, with the original part on it, not even the new part (because they broke it). Also, they have the audacity to say they are charging her $50 a day storage until we pay the $2,100. What a joke! They are now calling her a liar and saying she said something that she DID NOT say! Came in for a simple oil change.... it took 3 hours.Left and came back to car after 1 hour 1/2 of just waiting even though they took my car to the back about 5 min after I arrived and all four wheels were off. Was told I am 10 good stops away from my brakes going out. Just bought the car , no squeaking or squealing sounds when driving but being told I need all 4 brakes and pads replaced totaling over $1k. Not to mention the guy at the front told me my car takes synthetic oil only making my oil change price increase by about $30. Turns out my car takes both synthetic and regular oil. Today I drove in and had an issue with my wiper blades I kindly walked in and was greeted by a kind gentleman named Mr Ron. I normally ask any questions to my father who now is unable to give me any advice on my car. He has taught me everything. I am very leery about walking into any place that has to do with car repair because I have been cheated in the past. I walked in Enron took me in felt like I was maybe like his daughter. In my heart he helped me out graciously with a big smile. He explained to me that my wiper blade was broken and he helped me replace it. Took my car to get oil and they did the whole car inspection and told me I needed rear tires which was bull crap because 3 days ago I just bought BRAND NEW TIRES! In late July the Meineke store performed a 4 wheel alignment on my wife's car. In August I purchased four new tires for this vehicle. My wife noticed that the steering felt strange driving over rough roads and on wet pavement. I called the Meineke store and explained the problem and requested them look at the alignment. On 9/30 they told me they couldn't work me in until Monday. I called the Meineke store in Wylie and they worked me in that day. The alignment technician called me out into the shop area and explained the original alignment was not performed correctly and the two rear tires were out of alighment by 1/4" each. He also stated my rear tires now had uneven tread wear and needed to be replaced. There is now substantial tread difference between the front and rear tires. Since then, I have reached out to the Garland store in an attempt to resolve the issue, but no one will return my calls or email. The owner of the store is Jorge and I have emailed him and called the store in an attempt to speak with him. When I called the store I was told Jorge is not available and I needed to contact his assistant Adam. Repeated calls to Adam go unanswered and with a recording stating his voicemail box is full. The workmanship and customer service at the Garland Meineke store is terrible. It is now the mid October and still no call from the store management to resolve this issue. They have a "F" rating on from the BBB. read more

I went here about my tires and was told not only is the tire not in stock but if I purchased tires elsewhere they still wouldn't be able to do their job because the tire machine was broken and probably would be until next week. read more

Very pleased. Ordered a Groupon and called to schedule service. The manager, Richard, was kind enough to tell me he could offer my oil change service cheaper and to get a refund for my groypon. The day I came in the scheduled service was performed on time and only took 30 minutes. Richard was there the day I came in and an elderly couple had a question about reinserting the oil stick, Richard offered to go out with them and show them how to do it and gave them lots of opportunity to ask further questions. I would highly recommend this location. No lengthy list of things that "must be fixed" either. Great service. read more

Purchased a car at the tote the note place they give you five free oil changes but they have to be done at Meinicke. First oil change I was told car was in good condition. Second oil change I was told I had an oil leak it will cost $400 to replace the pad. I'm suspecting that every time I go in there's gonna be something wrong with the car. Which makes me believe they might be doing something to cause that damage. A free oil change is not worth what they're really up to. read more

Okay so i been going to this shop for years now never had a issue until today. SOMETHING VALUABLE OF MINE WENT MISSING & when i went to ask who all had access to my vehicle everyone seemed startled and somewhat very worried. It all summed down to one guy. This guy (African American) was the only one to drive & have the keys to my car. Long story short i went back to the shop to confront them and they did nothing & claimed they didn't steal anything.. but what was very sketchy from him and the manager was that they pulled me to the back of the shop saying to please just give them 30mins to find what went missing.. When i asked to have a number for corporate they were very upset & gave me a false email. Lies after lies with this place never going again. They are the biggest cheaters in the world you will ever see.. I used their Groupon coupon and went there for oil change and tyre rotation and balancing package. I also did the brake oil system flush. but they neither reset the engine light after the oil change, nor they did the balancing properly (As my car started shaking while driving after I did balancing there), nor they flushed out all the old brake fluid properly, I waited for 4.5 hours to get my job done. I had to go to somewhere else to fix all the mess they created in my car and had to do the flush again. IF YOU LOVE YOUR CAR DON'T GO HERE. i've never written a negative review before, i hate being that person. i swore i never would but unfortunately my experience has been terrible. It wasn't the issues just being checked out that took nearly 30 mins for them to figure out their own system on the computer, nor that i was told it would be completed in an hour & half, it took a little over 2 hours for my oil change & tire rotation which i was perfectly happy with. At this point, I was fine with all that. I can put myself in the guys shoes on the computer. So all of that is just how it goes, i understand all that. What is completely not acceptable, i notice they did not put back the motherboard cover, && i call the shop still not angry at this point just want to ensure it does not accidentally get thrown away before i can come get it. The guy on the phone treated me as if i was in the wrong, like i was inconveniencing him. No apology, no effort to even help me fix the issue they created. He says he doesn't see anything like that around the shop, "offers" for me to come by so he can see what the issue is. I am blown away. The issue is your shop is responsible for taking a peice of my car off && not putting it back. Now i have to drive completely out of my way right this second, because he needs to see this to understand "the issue" Ive never been so repulsed by costumer service in my life. read more

Worst mechanic I've been to. Don't even bother going unless you want to wait 2 hours for a simple oil change and have them ignore the real problem with your car. I asked him to take a look at my engine and see if anything was wrong with any hoses, because I just got a codecheck from AutoZone saying that something was wrong with the engine. He said that they could look at it but yet took over an hour to do my oil change (I watched them do it through the glass because they didn't even seem reliable) then, accuses me of not telling him to even check the engine. I even showed him the code check receipt and he knew my check engine light was on. When he comes back an hour later and takes forever to even do it, he shows me minor things I need to change about my car, which isn't even comparable to the actual problem. Not to mention he asks me if I'm m still in highschool, then when I replied with "no" he tells me that I look like I do. He also joked around about how one of the workers ruined my keychain with grease. I get in my car and there's nothing but grease. Wish I could leave 0 stars. read more

This place is great. It's usually not that full the service isn't too expensive. If you mention the groupon offer they'll do a 4 wheel alignment for only $49. The owner (I think his name is Ron) was very helpful. It's really clean inside and doesn't smell funny like some places do. Most of the bad reviews are from when the old manager used to work here.
