Triple TJ's used to be one of my favorite places to eat. But, where along the line they seem to have quit caring. The soup of the day is the same two soups everyday. And have been for perhaps three years. The menu is the same as it was 3 years ago. The food quality has slowly deteriorated. It seems that they know they are perhaps the only game in town and no longer have to compete. The food quality is now moderate and the service the same. So, this cafe replaced another in the same spot. It's been around for several months now. My husband and I tried it out tonight. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a bit eclectic, but not in a hip way, in its decorating style. Booths and a few tables, yellow walls, an odd assortment of wall decor, and a huge painted shark on the floor. The menu is two sides of a plastic menu card. Basic, reasonable, with a few sandwiches, a couple of salads, one soup (veggie beef), a few entrees, and a couple of desserts (outrageously priced at $6.99 a slice for cake that is NOT that special). My husband ordered a burger and fries that was dripping grease like nobody's business. The fries tasted okay, and the bun was toasted, which is always nice. I had the fish'n'chips. Plus is that it was not a beer batter and they had malt vinegar. The down side? It turned out that is was just a frozen concoction of three little fillets with more batter than anything. It was all served pretty quickly....that's when we discovered that nothing was made fresh...it's just all frozen and deep fried to the table. blech! For a Friday night....there were two other tables besides us. Not impressed. We wish there was one really great place to eat in this town. This isn't it. read more

I drive by the place several times a week & finally gave it a try. It's a decent little cafe -- not a huge menu, but all the basics, *and* thankfully a veggie-burger for me. I got the veggie-burger with cheese, and it came with a side of fries. Everything was very good, and relatively inexpensive (with an iced tea, my bill came to under $10). Food was served quickly, and the service was friendly. It's not a place I'll go to if I'm wanting to gobble-up lots & lots of food or have a 'special' meal with a friend, but I'll definitely be patronizing the place once or twice a month when I'm nearby and wanting a relatively inexpensive & quick sit-down lunch or dinner. read more

OK, so in the past 18 months since we moved to Hurricane, UT, we've eaten at Triple TJ's restaurant at least 20 times, so I figure it's about time I reviewed them. This place ROCKS!! You want "down home" cookin'? Check. You want "comfort food" like Grandma's place? Check. You want a Family Friendly place, run by a family? Check. You want warm, friendly service? Check. You want good food at a good value? Check. We've never had a disappointing meal there, and we've tried several menu items. I've settled on the California Chicken as my favorite sandwich, but my all time favorite entree is the Chicken Fried Chicken, with mashed potatoes and corn (smothered in white country gravy, of course). Talk about down-on-the-farm goodness! It rivals the best I ever had in all my many years in Texas. Spousal-unit loves the fish sandwich, and my fallback plan is the fish and chips plate. The potato soup is a perennial favorite, too. Owners Tim and Taleel turn out great plates, and frequent server Savannah delivers them with charm and a winning smile. Like holy crap this is such a gem! The fries are so crispy and delicious. The fry sauce was super good even my SO loved it and he is NOT into sauces at all. Also there was a review that said the fish and chips were not good and I am here to tell you my friends that this is not the case at all!! At least in my opinion. Also do NOT forget to order the fry sauce, it's killer. The service tbh was kind of meh. No one was rude, just not super friendly. However, the food made up for the lack of service 100%. read more

Don't know why other people are giving 4 stars if they like it. This place is the best restaurant in Washington county and one of the best restaurants I've ever been to and I'm originally from a huge city. The ambiance , staff and good are all great. We stopped in on our hotel desk clerk's recommendation. They seated us quickly and were very friendly. The food also came fairly quickly, too. My California chicken sandwich was super tasty. My daughter ordered the fettuccine Alfredo (also very good) and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. He told me it was pancake thin and overdone. He had to send it back to the kitchen and ordered the pork chops as a replacement--which were very tasty, perfectly done with excellent steamed green beans and mashed potatoes. The waitress was very apologetic and the chef even came out to check to make sure his meal was to his liking. We were impressed with how they handled the situation. Take it from us...if you're toggling between the chicken fried steak and the pork chops--go with the pork chops. I'd give them 3.5 stars, but Yelp doesn't do that. Soup of Day = Potato - Super scald-your-mouth hot deliciousness, creamy, with big chunks of potatoes and veggies. Extra pepper just made it taste better Halibut Fish - a bit dry (overdone?), but flavorful flaky fish w a nice crisp crust Bacon-Mushroom Cheeseburger - even though it came to us over-cooked, it was still juicy and delicious, enhanced w mushrooms French Fries - hot, crisp and fresh to order Coleslaw - homemade heaven! Not too vinegary, not too mayo-y, just needed a not more pepper and it was almost Texas good!! Apple Pie a la mode - fresh, freakin' homemade people!! This is our first time to this restaurant. We were visiting Bryce and Zion. Last day after eventful day at Zion we were back to our Hotel (Best Western Plus Zion West Hotel) . We eat at Triple TJ's several times a week. The food is yummy EVERY SINGLE time! The menu has plenty to chose from. Our favorites are the Chicken fried Chicken and Country Fried Steak. The Chef salad is awesome! But the pumpkin cheesecake is to DIE For! Get it with ice cream on the side!
