Excellent Service At Unbeatable Prices! We contacted Triton Group after our heater stopped working abruptly. Christian came and took a look and was very quick to figure out the problem and offer a budget friendly replacement. He also advised to shop around and then decide. We contacted two more companies, one small another big. The small company technician wasn't able to understand the problem at all, seemed very inexperienced and communication was frustrating despite the company's excellent all 5-star reviews. The big company technician was able to figure out the problem and briefly told us what Christian already explained very well. We got quotes for the models we liked from the big company and Triton group. Triton's prices were unbeatable despite better optional pieces such as Triton was offering much superior model of Nest thermostat versus big company's mediocre Honeywell. We ended up getting a high end heater at a much reasonable price than what the big company offered. Everything afterwards went very professional and smooth, they even taped the ducts to protect against some asbestos pipes without extra charge --which was offered as an extra service by the big company. We live in Oakland and had Christian install a new AC unit to go along with our gas furnace in the summer. When winter came we noticed the furnace was starting to have some issues related to AC unit. Christian was very responsive and came a few times to eval and come up with a practical solution. He didn't charge us for these extra visits and did the labor at no cost once it was determined our existing furnace had issues that required attention. It is easy to see how a company works when everything goes great, but you get a MUCH better sense of their reliability and integrity when things don't go perfect. We bought a fixer upper in the Oakland foothills 2 years ago. We had Christian Bedon come out and remove the old junk furnace and install a 95% efficient one, and he was very good about notifying us of the rebate and supplying the paperwork for it. In the last 2 years we've had to call him twice to come out for problems when we had a flood, and the second we found that our cats shed so much we had to remember to clean the cold air return filter a lot more ;) Christian came out no problem, and true to his word the work was free of charge according to the warranty. I recently had Triton replace my old furnace with a new Carrier Comfort Series closet furnace, model 59STX, 80% AFUE. It heats a 500SF space which includes a large playroom and a bathroom. There are 2 ducts, and an air return. We have 2 furnaces, and compared to our existing furnace it is much louder. The table below compares the sounds: Carrier STX 59 Standing 1 -2 feet away from furnace: 71Db Air return, 3 feet away: 60DB Vents, 3 feet away: 54DB Existing furnace Standing 1 -2 feet away from furnace: 59DB Air return, 3 feet away: 43DB Vents, 3 feet away: 43DB I am unhappy with this furnace, and believe it does not function as a consumer (in this case I) had expected it to perform. Since it is almost unusable due to loud sound (interestingly it is called "Comfort Series"), I would recommend considering other options. I have given Christian an opportunity to look into solutions in conjunction with the factory. His solution is for me to basically do sound proofing of my ducts, which to me is me spending more to get around a factory design issue, or at least a feature which should have been disclosed to me before the furnace was installed. read more

First off and most importantly, Christian is awesome. We called 5-6 places and Triton (Christian) gave us the best quote so we went with him. He worked with my schedule and was super responsive over email and text. They installed a new AC unit, replaced our old copper lines, and hooked everything up to our existing heating system and ducts. The work was fast and well done. The best part though, is the customer service. One of the lines wasn't completely sealed so a little bit of water leaked from the back of the compressor. I texted Christian and he came over in less than an hour to seal it up, no charge. A second time, our system wasn't operating at full capacity. I emailed Christian and he came over to look at the problem - turns out the air filter was too dirty (so it was my fault)... He showed me the problem, explained everything, then checked the system for any other problems. He didn't charge me for the visit either because he said it was part of my warrenty (it isn't). read more

Christian came to my home for an estimate for a new furnace and quite possibly new supply and return ducts. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, giving a different but sensible response to an issue presented by a larger outfit. I know his prices are reputed to be less than the large outfit in my area, and I am happy to use what appears to be an owner/operator business wherein the person you meet is the one who will perform the work. This was shortly before the Christmas holidays, Christian stated he was busy but would email me his quote in a little over a week. He requested a diagram of my home's footprint with measuerements. I got that to him the next day plus the estimated R-values of installation etc. and received confirmation from him. Well, I never heard back after that. I was travelling out of state twice, and nothing came, and no emails were in my spam folder. After six weeks I left a message stating how disappointed I was not to get his bid and to respond to me via email. He tried to call but I was driving and I could not safely answer, he left no voicemail and no email ever showed up. An unprofessional flake who wasted my time. Regardless of whether his quality of work is decent or not....I cannot imagine what his service would be if I had an issue after shelling out for a new heating system. Avoid. read more

This company is a SCAM! Guy charged me $350 for 45 mins of work and said he would refund me some money if he could not complete the job. Guy never came back to complete work so I had to hire another company. This guy is a joke.... left me hanging and stole my money. His wife that answer the phones is no help...she plays games as well. My heating and AC unit never worked properly and I had several people look at it. Christian quickly realized the problem - a lack of cold air returns and too small ductwork. Called Triton Group based on Yelp reviews, and I am very happy with that decision. Christian, the owner called me directly back to set an appointment. He was punctual and honest. Unfortunately our furnace had to be replaced. He provided a quote with options via e-mail in a very professional form. We set a date for installation. Once again, he was punctual. His team of installers were frfiendly and professional. The installation was seemless. Christian e-mailed later to see if we were satisfied with our furnace. 5 stars. If I had to make one wish it would be that we could pay by Visa without the 2.5% extra charge. On a big ticket item, that is a significant amount. I purchased a 4 unit multi family house with a 25+ year old furnace and ducting system. I am turning the building into a green facility as I rennovate, and wanted the most eco-friendly and healthy setup. I received several quotes, and though Triton's was not the lowest, they were close. That combined with their reviews made the decision... and it was a good one. Christian came out with several of his crew, all polite and friendly, and get to work immediately. They ripped out and disposed of all the old system, recycling what could be. They installed a top of the line system (I confirmed this through others after receiving his quote), highest efficiency that Carrier offered, new ducting, with a near hospital quality air filtration system, and a smart control system that allows me to monitor and manage all 4 apartments remotely (even from my phone), and set up individual heating schedules for each apartment .... all for less than several competitors who were offering lower quality and efficiency systems. When they ran into issues and delays because of the substandard work done with the ducting previously and the improper cold air return layout, they came back an extra day to complete the work and refused when I offered to pay for the extra time. Our thermostat stopped working a few days ago, and we have been freezing! I left two messages with a top-rated company and never heard back from them, then I called another top-rated company and they couldn't get us in for 4 days. So I took a chance and called Triton, and I'm so glad I did. Christian came out to our house today (just a few hours after I called), tested the furnace and confirmed that the problem was our thermostat, and then actually went to Home Depot and purchased a new one for us, then returned and installed it. I had Christian come out to give me an estimate for duct work and a new AC unit. His price was by far the best out of 4 other estimate I had. He recommended that I change my duct from a 4 in to 6 in and he will tune my old AC unit. It's working great now! Other company wanted me to change the duct, AC unit, and furnace. But Christian never try to sell me the whole nine yard. He told me it would take 2 days and he did finish as promised. His crew was very nice and kept my place clean. Christian was great! It's almost impossible to get someone to come out same day, especially when that day is the last of the year (12/31). I must have called 8 places, and scheduled an appt. online for Triton to come out 1/2. But, within 15 minutes of my having scheduled the online appt., Christian called me and said he could come right out. Plus, the charge for the visit, new thermostat, and labor was really affordable! Christian was awesome. I received 3 quotes on replacing a 1930 Atlas furnace. Christian's quotes was the lowest but that was not the only reason we chose him. His was the only quote that was all-inclusive, running a new electrical line, pulling the permit as well as installation and removal. He showed up with his crew on time (actually 5 minutes early). and worked all day to remove the old behemoth and install the furnace. The job was great. It required one minor tweak Christian came out right away and made the adjustment. They cleaned everything up and were very pleasant. His work was so efficient that the HERS inspector thought he installed new duct work. If so, it barely failed. However when the inspector learned it was existing duct work it passed with flying colors (there are two levels- new duct work can be no more than 6% leakage whereas existing duct work the threshold is 15%, Christian came in at 7% which truly impressed the inspector). You cannot go wrong with this team. On time, clean and efficient work. Bravo, Christian and crew. read more

After getting a few estimates, I decided to go with Christian. He not only offered the lowest price, but he did the most thorough inspection of our existing system beforehand. I like that he took the time to go up in our attic, check out our crawlspace, etc and really helped us to figure out how best to improve the heating system in our older home. We are absolutely thrilled with the mini-split heating/AC system that Triton installed in our cold back studio. From Christian's first visit to installation took exactly 2 weeks. It did take a couple of reminders to get the written estimate (Christian apologized for the delay, the cold season had just hit and he had gotten slammed with a slew of urgent repairs right after his visit), but then installation took place almost immediately. Christian was very straight-forward to work with, his quote was reasonable, and the installer William was fabulous. Christian said William is his mini-split specialist and that was validated when William came. William has 30 years of experience installing mini-splits, did a clean, professional install, and was very polite and nice. Now the studio is nice and warm! Christian came and did our central heat and air a few months ago. The work was done in two days, the vents were placed in excellent locations, and the house was completely clean after installation--like the vents were always there. Further, when there was an issue with the thermostat a few weeks later, Christian sent someone out within three hours to temporarily fix it, and then returned the next day to permanently deal with the issue. My parents are here now, and they also came to visit last summer--they are simple amazed at the difference in the comfort of our house this time around--even if it's 100 degrees out, we stay cool in our house.
