    Breakfast Enchiladas

Another great brunch at Trocadero. I had the breakfast enchiladas with salsa roja. Very good!

Lunch taco and enchilada combo. Delicious

This was a nice surprise. I was actually on my way to a different Mexican restaurant nearby but then saw this place I'd never heard of. So I opted to stop in here instead as it was just past 11am and I had been fasting earlier for a blood test. It was a Wednesday late morning (today) and I was the third table. The server was very helpful in letting me plug in my cell phone as it was low and I hate driving back to Sierra Vista with less than 40%. I got excellent service from everyone who came by. I ordered a lunch combo: a chicken taco dorado and chicken enchilada with rice and beans. The enchilada sauce here is outstanding! I licked the plate clean, it was so good. The Wednesday lunch special is chicken mole for $13.99 but I discovered that too late. I had water to drink which came with a slice of lemon. The ambiance is a bit on the dry side, with high ceiling tin ducts, but the place is spacious and there is probably room in the dining area for two more tables for four without getting crowded. The place offers breakfast items AND alcoholic drinks as well. No chips and salsa to snack on without paying, though.

Visited this spot a couple weeks back. Thought the food was pretty good. I remember this used to be a Chipotle, and they haven't done much renovations yet. They are fairly new, so perhaps that's still coming. They have many specials. Overheard about a special they have where if you shop at Trader Joe's (next door) and show your receipt you get a discount.

Every single dish we've tried here is delicious. Excellent service both when dining in or taking out. Authentic and homey

This is your basic breakfast place. Our food was mediocre and the coffee was weak. Service was good and the ambiance was quiet ( we were the only ones there at first). 3.4 stars.

What a find! This charming family owned restaurant has amazing food! I love the hip and trendy vibes of the restaurant. The food was excellent and had a lovely presentation. I went for breakfast and the service was excellent. My coffee was topped off often and the server stopped by often to check in on how the food was. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its tasty Mexican and American style dishes.

It's a locally owned cafe beside Trader Joe's, and was larger inside than expected, with a simple decor. The staff were all very friendly. We had an early lunch. I thought the food needed more flavor for the tacos and sopas, but it was okay.

    Friendly good service!

Full service Mexican restaurant next to Trader Joe's on Grant! Lots of parking. English and Spanish speaking. Wide selection of Mexican food and weekday specials under $11 dollars. Authentic Mexican drinks and soon will serve alcohol too.

It is the old Chipotle so it has the kitchen in the back

This location used to be the Chipotle and could use some plants or art on the wall to make it more of its own. Maybe partner with local artist and rotate the art work? This restaurant has potential and is a in convenient location. The service was a bit slow and the food was decent. The red menudo was really good. The omelette was good as well as the chilaquiles. The breakfast burro was not that good (fell apart; perhaps better/fresher tortillas?). Kids pancakes were well received. We will try again for lunch.

This is definitely a hidden gem here in Tucson. The place was clean, and the service was wonderful. The real star of the show is the food. You can tell they make it to order. I had the queso birria tacos and my husband had an enchilada with green sauce and a beef taquito with rice and beans. He ate it so quickly. It was all so good. I forgot to mention the chips and salsa. The chips had no salt on them, but luckily, the salsa was spiced to perfection. It was a perfect meal. Thank you!

Why aren't you having breakfast here! Sat morning 10 am is a crazy time to go out for breakfast everything is so busy. They're never seems to be await here which is crazy because The food is wonderful the service friendly and polite. Good music in the background too. And it's right next to trader Joe's which are going to anyway. Why wouldn't you be here?

It's not going to be the best you ever had in your life, and if you've been to Southern China, you're not going to be blown away. HOWEVER, it is the homemade taste that makes it good. It doesn't feel like any other restaurant, it feels like you are at somebody's house. Here's the thing, I came in expecting the usual Chinese food affair, but I left genuinely surprised and impressed. This restaurants specializes in Southern Chinese food, which is different from other regions. I am so happy this restaurant and its chains helps the cuisine gain exposure and adds depth to Chinese food in general. Even better, the menu is laid out in a way that it is easy to understand: gluten-free options, allergies, and spice level. The service was great. All though it isn't a "full" sit-down restaurant, everybody there seemed to know the menu well and was happy to be there. As a Cantonese person, it was nice hearing my language being spoken in the kitchen. The restaurant itself was immaculately clean and very modern. We came during early dinner time so the parking lot was near empty and easy to park. Overall, if you've never had Southern Chinese food or are looking for something more authentic than classic Chinese takeaway, definitely check out this location. The cherry on top are the big portion sizes and the price.

We tried the boozy vanilla latte which is made with almond milk. We also tried the non-alcoholic strawberry fields drink which was a beautiful blend of lemon, strawberry, and NA gin. Gentle Ben's decor is very modern, and definitely looks like it becomes a club after hours. I am imagining the staff consists primarily of students, but they have always been very attentive. If anything, the staff is 5/5 and the food is 2/5 - round down because I am a realist. Of the times I have been invited here, I tend to order the tacos. Again, they are fine, and I feel like those are more reasonably portioned than the burgers or handhelds. Something I am also big on that I do not see with the other dishes is enough sauce, and this is not an issue with the tacos. The carnitas tacos in particular have habanero cream and guacamole and side salsa. You will not have to worry about dry food if you order any of the tacos. I would probably like it better if the venue was less crowded. This is not a reflection of being at capacity, but one of arranging tables in such a way that lends itself to being elbowed in the back by patrons at the adjacent table if they are even slightly intoxicated. While I understand the patio seating is likely high value, the experience is of higher value when there is room to breathe when eating dinner.

It is single-handedly the best bread and sandwich I've had anywhere and I get it every time I visit Tucson now that I've moved. The bread is so good that buy a large loaf and take it home with me to make sandwiches with. The people who work here are super sweet and friendly. They work quickly even when they're completely packed. I've never once had a problem with my order being incorrect or how I've been treated there. It has only ever been a positive experience. The restaurant itself is lovely. There is a good amount of seating but sometimes you do have to troll for a seat when it's really busy. The space is clean and easy to move around.
