Trompitoz Taqueria is in a gas station, but don't let that fool you - this place is great! They have seating for ~20 in a nice place (see picture). Their menu is extensive, but what really stood out were their quesabirria tacos. I tried the Jumbo plate with 3 large birria tacos, rice and consume for $14 - they were excellent at a great price. I put in a large to go order for may family, and when I went to pay, they processed my card without giving me the opportunity to add a tip ("Next time" they said). My wife liked their lengua tacos and the chorizo was a hit at our home. Very fast service and excellent tacos with a particularly tasty red sauce. I have not had the opportunity to try their breakfast offerings, but I have very high hopes, given their other food. If you haven't tried them yet, you should if you like taquerias - great food at excellent prices. I am going to have to return soon as writing this review has made me hungry and I need to try their

Found this recently opened taco place inside the gas station at Main and Allen Heights and had to try it. They have a pretty large menu and, most importantly, birria! I love a good Quesabirria taco and we dont really have anywhere close by where you can find them. Well, it looks like the wait is over. The jumbo Quesabirria taco plate comes with three tacos, a side of rice, and consome. The tacos were filled with a good amount of meat with melted cheese at the base of the taco. The consome was very flavorful without being salty. Even the rice was rather good. I also tried one barbacoa and one trompo taco. The barbacoa was tender and flavorful. The trompo was good, but not quite what I expected with meat cut off a rotating spit. The guy at the counter was very friendly and it didn't take too long for the food to be ready. It's a nice addition to the area!

This spot is AMAZING!! We went here for the first time today and all I can say is we've been missing out which means YOU'VE been missing out too! I ordered the queso birria tacos. The BEST thing I've tasted in a long long time. Actually, top 5 best tacos hands down. I'm definitely going to be a regular here. Oh, no TexMex either which is a bonus for me because I'm not a fan of it!

When I first walked in I only saw the gas station, so I thought had the wrong location til you go around corner where it ducked off on the side.... Very good tacos

First off the menu options are varied making it hard to choose just one entree. Did we want pancakes or French toast or biscuits....so hard. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, kitchen side and it was so fascinating to see meals as they were prepped to go out to patrons. Everything looked fresh, delicious, and made to order and the portions were definitely shareable. We started off with brunch cocktails and even received a comp croissant beignet appetizer which was absolutely amazing. They were flacky on the outside and butter soft inside with amazing Nutella dipping sauce. We decided to go with a green goddess salad with all the yummy veggies, French toast, and pancakes for the table. This is a great place to dine alone and with family, friends, or a brunch date. Its very farmhouse chic and cant what to go back and try more of the menu. They will always get a recommendation from me. If you've been looking for a brunch, breakfast, or lunch spot, you've just found it.

The place was so crowded that it was ridiculous. Don't think the fire marshal would have been pleased with the crowd and the crowd management. The place was hot. HVAC was not good. The place had really bad noise management. You couldn't even hear the person across the table. Very frustrating. Maybe they need better ceiling tiles to manage noise.

I was able to put myself on the waitlist 30 mins before I was headed there. Food is exceptional. I had the Blueberry Lemon Ricotta pancakes. So fluffy! I also had the matcha latte with oat milk. I ordered their French toast and two sunny side up eggs with extra crispy bacon. I asked her twice to please make it super crispy. The best part about my breakfast ended being my plain sunny side up eggs. Followed by the thin, soft grilled bacon that somehow came not crispy and lastly the French toast. Three dry, D-R-Y pieces of toast, with no custard flavor or moistness. It was almost just plain toast with a side of fruit compote, not what was served to the influencer on that reel. I powered through one toast and left the other two, because they were m not worth the calories. In the couple of times we saw our server, she asked how was the food and I told her about the toast, (this was at almost the end of our meal) as a suggestion. She said she would have it made gain, and she did in about 10-15 min, so that was great, but her good intentions felt short when the French toast was still dry, although with a slight soft top. Imagine barely toasted toast with powered sugar. Sigh. My friends breakfast of eggs, toast, bacon and fruit was unremarkable too. Service was 5/10'just because she tried to correct the kitchen issue (although late). Overall with tip we spent $50 for a meal not up to par with other great breakfast restaurants in the area,, a complete let down as the place looks amazing and the patio was so inviting. If the food had been at least as good as Morning Bliss, Cracked & Crepe,, Brunch at Lilly's, Frisco Starwood or Biscuit just to name a few great ones, this place would become our new go to place, based on ambiance and the patio, but it just missed the high bar by a lot. I feel sometimes, influencers get invited and the food they are served in a reel is not what two ladies in their 50's get. Pity.

We were looking for a good taqueria in Allen and found it here. This is a cozy place with about 10+ tables, playing Mexican music videos, etc. (but not loud enough to interfere with conversation). To try things out, we ordered their grilled cebolla/jalapeño combo, and 4 tacos -pastor, chorizo, barbacoa, & lengua (see photos). These are Mexican Street taco style with 2 corn tortillas. I tried the pastor, chorizo & barbacoa - they were all excellent! Served with onion, cilantro, lime slices and radish slices. Very high quality! I would be happy to eat any of them again, but would probably quadruple down on the pastor because it was just great (and I am a pastor fan - I am still in search of the El Tizoncito style al pastor tacos that you can find in DF, but until I do, these will keep me happy). While I can eat lengua (if I can't find pastor), but my wife is a connoisseur and she liked them (and messaged a friend about them). The Cebolla asados with jalapeños were amazing and an incredible value at ~ $2. We had no chance to try La Sirena (paleteria y fruteria), but it looked very promising. We will be back to try their breakfast offerings. We feel quite fortunate to have found this place.
