The only reason I'm giving this shop a one star is because the overall art I left with wasn't bad. I did however leave with something that Travis inked me with under an assumption. I came in to get a quick flash tattoo with my little sister, I let her pick some art out of one of the shop books. When I looked at the art what I saw was bold black lines and some shading and that is what I expected to leave with, plus one small spot of color that I asked to be added. When everything was said and done, I looked at it in the mirror, and all of the negative space I expected to be left blank had a brownish tint to it, I looked at it in surprise and asked him if it was color, he responded yes. This isn't my first tattoo, I know the process, lines shading color, this isn't an intricate tattoo either, just a quick flash. When I've gotten tattoos previously the artist briefed me on everything they were going to do, this coloring was definitely something I should have been asked about. When I went to pay I called him out on the color, he said he did it under an "assumption" I was pissed. Lol and when I told him I was "only" going to give him a ten dollar tip (Im too nice)...He looked physically & mentally confused. Moral of the story, you can find more responsible artists, that would never make assumptions, and the only people in this world you should judge based on appearance are tattoo artists. read more

My husband and I decided to get our wedding bands tattooed on for our 16th wedding anniversary. After a bit of research I chose Tron City Tattoo. They were awesome, first we scheduled a consultation so we understood how finger tattoos are different from other parts of the body. This helped us refine what design we chose. Travis so super helpful and recommended we get a second tattoo each as they have an $80 shop minimum and he didn't want to charge us $80 each for a wedding band. Well that was the best part. My husband and I have both been wanting new tattoos for a while and this was the perfect opportunity. Travis was our soul mate in terms of tattoos. He actually already had on his body the tattoo I wanted (Black Flag bars logo) and the one my husband wanted (little girl zombie from Night of the Living Dead). How amazing is that?!?!? Cover up work is a different challenge, and I went in to the studio for my consultation with several ideas, most of which Travis was very honest about not being able to do as a cover up. I showed him a picture of what I want and he came up with a design that fit me but still got the just of what I wanted from the pic I had shown him. Both my mom and I got tattoos at Tron City recently and we are both beyond happy with the art and the experience. Travis, who designed both of ours, is as professional as it gets. He helped us decide on the details of our tattoos and explained everything completely without ever being condescending or dismissive.
