Figured Hawaii would have some great Poke, so we tried this spot while on vacation. The protein selections were super fresh and a variety of add-ons to choose from. Very clean and really appreciated the disposable cutlery. The service was average, which would have raised the rating. We just landed here from California and had our first lunch here at Tropic poke. Overall, it is the best poke, ever!! There are so many toppings and sauces choose from. I chose Ahi, Octopus, and shrimp for a protein, it was so fresh. Also, you must try the shrimp tempura for a side. It was so good. On top of that, I love the sauce, creamy spicy. It was not too spicy but so delicious. I would like to visit here everyday during the stay at Aulani Disney resort in Ko Olina. Definitely I recommend this restaurant, Tropic Poke. read more

Finally tried Tropic Poke today. It's average 3.5 stars. Like other local reviews state it didn't taste fresh. The corn, and pineapple are definitely canned. Couldn't bring myself to try the spicy ahi because it looked weird. Nothing memorable, clean, staff was nice and very efficient. Island market & Aulani have better poke within KoOlina. read more

The other times we ordered pokè bowls here, the workers weren't friendly and stood there holding bowl with a hurry up look. Aside from that the pokè bowls are very delish! Came in a few days ago and tired with my family, my child really liked the spam musubi, but for me the bowl was really lacking in the amount of fish given, small size I got the spicy ahi and fresh ahi, the spicy ahi had a weird texture and the fresh ahi I only got a few pieces, I got the shoyu that didn't taste like traditional shoyu taste I was looking for. Wouldn't recommend due to expensive pricing and amount of fish given. Edit: Thanks for taking your time to write back to my review like we said we really liked your musubis but the my main point of my review was the amount of fish for over $15 bowl. I got a small scoop of a weird paste of spicy ahi and about 6 piece of cubed ahi. For the sauce I just told the staff shoyu and that's what they put in my bowl I didn't know it was a special shoyu I just assumed they put regular shoyu based on what I said. To say my review is meaningless is really ridiculous and very unprofessional what kind of owner doesn't know how to take criticism, and replies with that kind of closed minded attitude. read more

We first went to Tropic Poke 2 years ago and fell in love. We spent 2 years trying to capture the taste when we returned to the east coast of Mainland USA but nothing measured up. We returned to Oahu in April 2024 and Tropic Poke was our first stop and it was just as good as we remembered it. The fish is fresh with excellent texture, the rice has the perfect amount of seasoning and the sauces enhance the flavor of the fish. On our next trip (yet to be planned) Tropic Poke will once again be our first stop. read more

I appreciate a restaurant that offers vegan/vegetarian-friendly dishes in a non-plant-based setting. My sister is Pescatarian and was craving Poke so we searched up some places in the area that was vegan-friendly. When you think of Poke the first thing you think of is fish, right? Many other restaurants have tofu, but not many offer fried tofu. Tropic Poke is one of the many I visited that has fried tofu. It's cold but it's delicious as is. Due to my lifestyle, I'm limited to the sauces to select but it wasn't a problem for me since I'm simple and enjoy just shoyu and Sriracha. Avocado was an additional charge but that's an understatement. I looooove avocado and couldn't pass it up. The staff was all friendly and informative. Especially with my lifestyle I must've been a hindrance always asking an abundance of questions. I appreciate the consideration and thoughtfulness in helping me out. The area was clean, aesthetic, and had a nice background for a popular foodie staple spot. They even offer macaroons ice cream as dessert! My sister loves the coffee flavor. Had the Traditional Bowl but it was anything but traditional!! Definitely hit this place up if in Ko Olina.

Had the strangest exchange with the young lady working tonite - first off we love poke and know what good poke tastes like. This place is not 5 stars but middle of the road basic poke place, NOT Bad, NOT best I ever had - more like 3 stars average. Average , small scoops - across the board. The spicy sauce was so salty. Lastly after we paid and went to sit down we were told at 7:00PM we could not sit inside, when I asked why she said because we close at 8:00PM. I said I am sorry I still dont understand. She said because some people sit here 3hrs and we close at 8:00 PM - repeat - still not making sense - I don't understand, won't take me but 20 mins to eat a small poke bowl, literally - a small. As there was no seating out front we chose to ask for a bag and walked back to our hotel room. Management , train your staff on customer service when all signs say you close at 8:00PM. You are in a highly trafficked tourist area and should be more customer oriented. read more

Wow--my wife and I think this is the BEST poke bowl place we've ever been to, and we live in the SF Bay Area, where there's plenty of good poke. All the protein choices and other ingredients were incredibly fresh, the portions were generous, the flavors were excellent, the proportions were right, and the price was quite reasonable considering the portion size and quality of the ingredients. They even let you add lots of little "extras" for no additional charge. And for only $2 extra you can even get a shrimp tempura piece, which was actually really tasty with a light and crispy batter--not heavy or soggy at all. Tropic Poke really hits every note. We'll definitely be back next time we come to Oahu! read more

We love Tropic Poke ever since it opened. We even went there during their soft opening since we're residents of Ko Olina, where it's located. But our experience on 12/22/21 Wednesday night was just terrible. We always order online for pick up. First, we called in around 7pm to ask how long it would take to fulfill an order and if they were busy - we were told about 10 mins. And so I ordered online immediately after the call, I ordered at 7:09pm and website and text message alert said that order will be ready at 7:20pm. We got to Tropic Poke around 7:12pm but I told my husband to wait in the car and give them time cause pick up is 7:20pm. So my husband went inside Tropic Poke around 7:16pm. He told the guy there that he's picking up an order. Our order was not ready which is fair but the frustrating part was that, my husband who was physically in the restaurant and ordered AHEAD of time, was NOT accommodated immediately. There were others that JUST started to order and they were given attention first. I understand that customers in front of you are priority than online orders but my husband was physically in the store. I went to join him around 7:25pm and our order was still NOT being made. They literally took care of the customers that were even though my husband was technically been first in line. When they finally started making our order (we ordered 3 poke), the guy was asking me what I ordered! I was shocked because when I followed up with him at the beginning, he confirmed my name so I was sure he got my order. We ordered at 7:09pm but didn't get our order until 7:40pm. We loved this place but really feel let down and not wanting to go back because of this. We were recommending this place to our friends but after Wednesday night, we feel embarrassed that we recommended Tropic Poke To make it worst, I had an upset stomach after eating my order. I didn't finish it all on Wednesday night because I had to put my baby to sleep but towards the end of the night, I suffered from a stomach ache. I thought maybe it's not from the poke so I had my leftovers for lunch the following day and a few bites into it, I started feeling ache in my stomach again so I ended up throwing it out. Anyway, please be consistent with the order pick up time you advise your customers. Expectations like that have to be met unless there's extreme reasons for not being able to. Ordering online means convenience for other people. We had a crying baby at the time and so time was of the essence for us but it felt blatantly ignored by the staff. read more
