    Steak spring roll-recommended
    Keith H.

Really three stars. Food all well presented and tasty. Servers a little enthusiastic to get a drinks order. Four people asked within two minutes of sitting down. Prices a little high and they automatically add 20% as service. So watch out for it. We booked 8-15 and it says they closed at 9. But we were still be served at 9-30 but it was quiet and winding down. No late nights here. Valet only parking unless you park across the street or in the other side of the building in now vacant hair dressing area. Basically three units of strip mall. They have taken over the car park ( including handicapped area?). Masked by bushes and retractable awning to make a good outdoor dining area. Also inside tables and a private room in one of the "units". A bit of a busy road area, plus Brightline trains crossing and aircraft leaving Palm beach airport. Yet ambience good and surprisingly refined. Cheese steak spring roll like Phillies cheesesteak in spring roll. Meatloaf good and fish very good. At the end too full to try coconut cake which was recommended. Good place. Will go again if they stay. The whole area to be demolished and some nasty structure put up but as one of our servers said they have five year lease so not moving. We will see.

What an amazing experience, I am so glad we came across this little gem! We were looking for a new place to check out, and this came across my radar, so we popped in one Wednesday evening. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. All the beautiful waitresses were so nice (and I know how short staffed places are lately, but not here!) They sat us outside at a cute two top by this beautiful wall of fake grass (very Hamptons like). We started with a round of cocktails and listened to her suggestions of items to order for dinner. We started with the crispy eggplant, roasted peppers, burrata, arugula, and balsamic to start. This fish was excellent. It was a nice combination of flavor with the right amount of sauce, and the crispy chip on top was a nice finishing touch. For dinner we split the chicken schnitzel - which came with arugula, mushrooms, sweet onions, and a fried egg on top. That was really good. I'm always worried schnitzel will be a little dry, so I added a dash of olive oil, but overall, it was very tasty. We also split the branzino fish which came with two sides - we went with the smashed potatoes with a little truffle oil and the butternut squash with truffle oil and goat cheese. Both were good, the mashed potatoes I really liked. The waitress was super friendly, and helpful with giving us suggestions on the menu. We very much enjoyed our experience!

**My 1900th review** The food is spectacular. Arguably one of the top five eateries in the county, with far more authenticity than some of the stodgy Palm Beach eateries. What's not spectacular, especially on a weekend in "season," is an indoor dining room that resembles a sardine can, in terms of space usage. Actually, it would be nicer to be packed in with sardines. Haven't met a living one, but, in all, I have to imagine they're pretty quiet, bone-in, and swimming. Sadly, put 20-30 tax sheltering septuagenarian silver spooning seniors, from the boisterous bergs of the Northeast, into that tiny space, if you don't have hearing aid mute, and the volume can get pretty deafening. Enough so that, while we enjoyed our corn and crab cake appetizer, at 6:15p., by 6:30p, with the restaurant filling in, our grilled double lamb chops, and chicken schnitzel, were affected by the chattering: who passed away; who wanted to avoid the Met in the current COVID crisis; Uncle George was a right old codger at the Vineyard last summer. The din wasn't a win. Neither was the old gal, who put at least half a gallon of some pricey perfume on her. As she squeezed into her table, going over the top of ours, the smell was strong enough that, for the rest of the meal, everyone and everything smelled like patchouli and camphor. Chicken schnitzel Chanel was not what chef intended to serve. I stopped eating it. By the time that we tried to eat the delicious coconut cake, to add to the noise, pretty much everyone can't see well enough that the phones come out. A lovely elderly woman, a foot to my right, was using her phone flashlight to read the menu. Gabbing away, she carelessly turned it in such a way as to blast it in my eyes, long enough that I had to politely ask her to either turn it off, or read me my rights. Food portions are built around old school abbondanza supersize. I wish they'd follow Cafe Boulud's lead, locally, and focus more on quality, with a lot less quantity. Virtually no one here, nor their realtors, fashion designers, or auto detailers, faces the famine that provoked this kind of excess, That being said, plating was excellent. They have a small bar. Big wine list. Given the big ticket wine bottles, and their very 101 list of spirits, they lean into the wine side a bunch more. Parking is complimentary valet in the tiny strip mall, that they inhabit. Y'all, ambiance is a thing. Table packing impacts your food. Maison Carlos is peaceful. Gratto is brutal. You're sized like Carlos, with the bustle of a restaurant twice your size. You want prime dollar for exceptional cuisine? Fix this, or run over to Airbus Helicopters, and buy each table some helicopter headsets. That way, we can at least enjoy our guests company, without the cacophony.

Went in for the summer special. and ended up with the house favorite Schnitzel. We where 8 at our table and although I was not intending on getting this meal it was our terrific wait staff Nina who made the suggestion. It is great food but a little pricey. We shared, Caesar Salad, and Cheese steak egg rolls for apps. wife had the Fettuccine Bolognese. The desserts were good I really don't like coconut. bit this cake was good!

Early dinner during the week here. The place was empty when I arrived. Waited over 12 minutes for someone to come to the table. Finally got water, and was asked if cocktails were needed. Did not order any alcohol here. A complementary appetizer from the chef was served, the bread was fresh and tasty, the spread of eggplant and white bean was ok. Then I had the scallops, while it looked beautiful, flavor was lacking a bit. It was served over a bed of creamed Brussels sprouts that had bacon and tomatoes in it. That was ok as well not exceptional. The coconut cake was very good and the slice was huge, enough for 3-4 people, it was also a great price at $10. It is their signature dessert. The place began to get crowded as the meal was coming to an end. Not enough social distancing as outside seating was packed. A lot of the palm beach crowd seemed to converge on this place as 6:30pm drew near, interesting for people watching. I would try it again but I was expecting more based on reviews. I would give it a try again though..

This restaurant has a black & white contemporary ambience with tight seating in a dining room that has a right angle shape. They also have outdoor seating as well. The chef and the hostess are the owners of this creative new American brasserie. The restaurant recommends fairly early reservations and that was evident by the large crowd on a Saturday night in early autumn. While perusing through their wine list, I noticed that they also had a thirty dollar corkage charge which seems high but worthwhile if you are bringing in a high end wine. I found their menu selections quite creative and appealing. We decided to share two appetizers; Crispy Eggplant and Asparagus in Prosciutto all dressed up in many other ingredients. Both appetizers were wonderful. My partner and I shared two entrees, Salmon in Paper & Chicken Schnitzel all with many creative ingredients. Although the Salmon was farm raised I could not resist ordering the dish and I couldn't been happier with my choice. The Chicken Schnitzel was tender an incredibly flavorful. After a fabulous dinner experience we could not resist their desert sampler which I only remember that one of the deserts was Strawberry shortcake, but all delicious and that is all that mattered. This is a restaurant for foodies and for those that are seeking a restaurant that refreshes its menu seasonal. Outstanding wonderful evening, fantastic staff/customer service experience and the hostess was delightful. Most definitely worth many more visits in the future with friends and family. Well done and thank you for a wonderful evening!

I appreciate how seamless the takeout experience is. I order online, pick it up or get it delivered and it's right every time. Each time, we've had several items come out incorrect, items missed, neglected by our server and begging for refills... a server even tried to gaslight us into thinking we ordered differently (an item I'm literally unable to eat) and we had to replay the events back to her. It's not a good look for such a nice establishment. Fortunately we've always been comped for server mistakes. I'll continue to order takeout, I'll even dine in again (the food is that good) but I will come with lower expectations; I won't bring clients here anymore, maybe just casual lunch with hubby.

When I checked Howley's on yelp I was surprised that there were so many negative reviews. Howley's is managed by the Sub-Culture Group, and we dine regularly at Kapow in East Boca and Dada in Delray Beach, also managed by Sub-Culture. And while this is an entirely different type of food, I still wanted to take a chance and check them out. And we did and were pleased and more than satisfied. First, the decor is truly funky. I'm not sure if everything is from the 50's when they first opened, but it sure looked like it was. The restaurant was spotless, and the toilet was as well. The AC was strong which was appreciated. Artwork on the walls was not our style but must have been from a local artist. Ceiling fixtures were similar to what my parent's had in the late 60's. Jessica was our server and she was professional and positive in her attitude. Could not have asked for anything more. Decided to order a turkey club on rye bread ($15) with fries which were included and share it. Some of the reviews addressed how large their portions were and photos confirmed it. Jessica brought out the sandwich which was split in the kitchen with an ample amount of fries on each plate. The fries were delicious. Obviously freshly made and not sitting around, they were crisp without being overcooked. The turkey was described as fresh roasted sliced turkey and it sure was. Bacon was plentiful and crispy along with fresh lettuce and tomato. Mayo served on the side as requested. The sandwich was so large that I was only able to eat a half of my half, taking the rest home for the following day. Ordered a corn muffin and chocolate chip muffin to take home and each was fresh and delicious. ($5-$6) Howley's certainly warrants a visit if you are in the area and not seeking a trendy looking place which exists all over West Palm where the food may not be as good but the vibe is what is being sold with mediocre food. There was an on-site manager who visited our table to make sure all was good. I neglected to ask her name and apologize - she was welcoming and clearly on top of her managerial duties.
