I've been coming to Anderson's for a long time as I live in the neighborhood behind it and they've really gone downhill. I keep giving them chance after chance and they keep disappointing me; so no more! This last visit I ordered a small chocolate peanut butter hard ice cream and it literally was less than a half scoop. Not to mention it was extremely soft like it was melted...oh and it's 64 degrees out tonight so it wasn't the heat that melted it. For $5.15 one would hope and think they'd provide at least a full scoop, not a hollowed out sloppy dollop. I've gotten sundaes in the past too and they charge over a dollar for whipped cream and literally put a squirt on the top. If I'm paying over a dollar for whipped cream I'd like it covering the whole entire sundae at the very least! Not only is the ice cream an issue, so is the roast beef. It's gotten to the point where the roll is smaller and there's like two slices of roast beef on it. It's extremely disappointing how they take people's money, have the audacity to charge the higher prices they do in turn give minuscule amounts. It's cheap of them and very stingy to do this to customers. I don't mind at all paying higher prices but it's quite insulting to even serve such a thing to a paying customer. The staff are not friendly, seem to hate their jobs and have attitude in their voice. They need intense customer service training on how to interact in a positive manner with customers. Went on a Thursday night around 7, no wait time and it took only a couple of minutes for my order. I got a child's chocolate shake. It tasted great and was the perfect size since I didn't want too much. Would definitely return. There is seating both inside and outside. The parking lot is large so lots of space. We eat at Anderson's about 3-4 times a year and always enjoy the food -- it's consistently good, even if a bit on the pricey side. Their ice cream is also fantastic! However, I want to share a word of caution about using the online ordering system. Yesterday, we placed an online order for the Niagara Falls Blvd. location. When I arrived about five minutes after placing it, I let a staff member know our name and that we had just ordered online. He simply said "OK." We waited and watched several people order at the counter and get their food while we continued waiting. I asked the staff two more times about our order and didn't get much of a response. Finally, after waiting 35 minutes, I was more firm -- and only then did they check and say, "Oh yeah, here it is!" Our order had been sitting there for a while and they did not notify us despite telling them 3 times we were waiting for our order. Unfortunately, the food was cold and the fries were soggy by then. Very disappointing experience with the staff and service this time around. Our order was $70 too so it wasnt trivial. I will go back, but I won't be using the online ordering system again. read more

I ordered an ice cream in store and it was pretty busy, which is understandable on a Friday an hour before closing. My friend and I would not have minded to wait on the line until a cashier was available. However, when it was our turn, the cashier who was an assistant manager glanced at us at the dessert line and proceed to help a family at the food service line that had just arrived. The family noticed that we were there before them and called her out, saying that we were at the other line waiting to order before them, to which she replied "That's okay." This was my first time going to Anderson's and I can't believe that I've been passing this place this whole time! I had a buffalo chicken sandwich, hubby had the roast beef on weck, and my son had his favorite Mac and cheese. The chicken breast in my sandwich was so tender and delicious. They used premium lettuce and tomato, Kaiser roll, and the curly was fries were on point! Even my sons Mac and cheese tasted pretty good for a restaurant. Always a fun place to take the kids. Today was very busy there as many WNY kids are on vacation from school. Place was a bit dirty and disorganized due to that. They recently changed the chicken fingers and they are not as good. They told me they were going for a more "all-natural" chicken. Whatever they switched to, it's not good. I don't nearly go there as much and neither do my friends (who get the chicken finger sandwiches too, call us a bunch of nerds). This last time I had a bug on mine. On a better note, the NF blvd seems to have the best roast beef, cut nice and not too fatty. Haven't had the same quality with the other ones. It's definitely on the pricier end of the fast food spectrum, but you're paying for higher quality ingredients and homemade offerings. They were definitely a cut above the usual fast food hamburger, and you do get a lot of bang for your buck. The curly fries were just okay, and my husband swears he could tell they shared a fryer with fish. I like that the fountain drinks all have cane sugar. My husband had an extra small coffee milkshake he said was very good and just the right size. I wish their custard had an extra small option, too.
