As a top California Google reviewer who does like a great tasting smoothie after visiting smoothie kings and being in shock how filthy that place was I was ready to enter into this beautifully laid out place and take it all in the serenity of the atmosphere, the quiet peace of calm in the air and a kind warm smile of maybe um I don't know welcome but I was greated with a kind face a warm smile by Calvin and his co worker super kind friendly helpful and I ordered with confidence pomegranate smoothie with B12 and Multi please as the amazing 2 staff workers were making my drink there came a third worker a woman short brown hair began directing instructing and correcting a staff member the way she continue to complain about this and complain about that and than the smile as he looked over at me on his face as if to silently appologize it became very clear that due to poor scheduling they were currently short staffed all the responsibilities of the Manager but the frustration of the messy stations, the backed up drive through the incorrect wraps were all being laid on the shoulders of this one very kind worker I had to get his name before I leave as I heard this woman clearly older than him by atleast 15+ years I decided to take a deeper look around I observed containers not washed out but stacked up , there was a box left on a table, there was water left on the floor however all correctable issue with proper staff scheduling that are delegated to clean disinffect on time and to keep people walking in I enjoyed this place but I didn't like the fact that a fellow co worker that was yelling loud and distracting customers as well as myself I felt terrible I asked the kind staff his name and he said Calvin this staff member Calkin was very nice and the girl that was with him was so helpful aswell. Literally waited in drive thru 10mins behind 3 other cars that weren't moving. Finally decided to go in and grab it. Constantly a problem at this location. Last time I had this issue and went in to grab it, the staff looked frustrated and was very discombobulated, as I was walking in a man was walking out who I saw come from behind the counter. The staff was kind and professional, but you could tell they were needing help and trying to get it together. I noticed the man that had walked out, sitting in his car parked right in front. Being vegetarian and living in Texas oftentimes makes it realllllly difficult to find food when traveling via our car. I was so happy to find a Tropical Smoothie Cafe location on our way to the Spartan Super Race that was located just outside of Burnet. We LOVE that you can substitute the chicken in any item with plant based meat instead, meaning that we have unlimited options for meals instead of having to scramble to find one or two vegetarian options. I have driven by Tropical Smoothie many times but never had the chance to stop in. I finally went yesterday and went through the drive through. The employees were extremely friendly and patient! They have a good selection on their menu between sandwiches, flatbreads, smoothies and more. I ordered the chipotle chicken flatbread, peanut butter cup smoothie and chips. I do feel it was just a tad bit pricey for what you get. However, I do realize just about every place has higher prices like this nowadays. Anyway, the flat bread was very good! It had a ton of flavor with the chipotle sauce and was surprisingly filling between that and the smoothie. The smoothie was good as well. First few times ordering the island green smoothie was absolutely delicious. I had surgery and drank the smoothies because it was all I could have. So I ordered from them quiet a lot for two weeks. Then it started tasting extremely watered down. Like Ice, water, and a splash of pineapple juice. The last 4 times I ordered there it's been like this. I was hoping that maybe it was just a new worker but it's been about two months and a half. It's disgusting. This is the fifth time ordering. I tried giving them one more try but I got the same watered down drink. I just can't spend anymore money on something I can't even drink. Ever since the owner Christina has started coming to the store and trying to help run it the store has gone to complete shit. No wonder her turn over rate is so high and she can't keep nobody because she doesn't know how to operate a business nor treat human beings. 30 Sep 2022 I went to this Tropical smoothie to pick up my two wraps and smoothies that I ordered on the app. The avocolada smoothie that I ordered tasted a bit different from the previous ones that I had had from different locations. Upon almost finishing the smoothie, I realized that the avocado was never blended. There was a half of an avocado at the bottom of my cup. I had just flew into Killeen so I did not have the energy to go back the same day. I called back the morning of 1 Oct 2022 to be told that I could not receive another drink because I did not bring the drink back the same day. Great way to keep loyal customers coming. I only eat the carribean jerk wrap from here and I do not get pineapple salsa. I asked for no salsa, got pulled up to wait and I still had pineapple salsa on it. I went back the next day because the lady said she would remake but this time no pineapple salsa and she omitted the jerk sauce so I am stuck with a dry wrap. I have never physically been to this location, every single order has been through a food delivery app. BUT. I absolutely love this place. The smoothies are bomb, and there's a ton of mix ins you can add like fat burner, oats, different fruit... etc. There's a smoothie for everyone! I also like that you can substitute their turbinado for Splenda. Saves a few calories. All of their food that I've had has been amazing as well. The the quesadillas are delicious and they always follow order notes to a tee. Attention to detail is super important because I hate onions, I always order without them and they always deliver. Their Cuban sandwich is amazing as well! Pretty close to authentic if you ask me, which is great because I'm homesick. Their salads are just as great as their quesadillas, there is also a salad for everyone on their menu and of course it's fully customizable. My favorite is the buffalo chicken salad. I have only had their all American breakfast wrap so I can't comment on the regular full sized ones but I'm sure they're awesome too. The inside is clean , everyone greets you (just not one person) and had board games for the family. Everybody does not use protein I'm a regular customer at tropical smoothie cafe in Austin and cedar park and get the same thing every time , peanut paradise , I've never takin protein a day in my life so I always substitute the protein for chocolate or something else in Austin this is the only location that will not substitute protein for another item . I've came to this location 3 times and each time they state that due to them being a franchise they can't substitute even though it's only 0.50$ it so weird that every other location I go to will substitute the protein rather then charge me the extra .50$ very inconvenient and a dumb excuse read more

Their flavorful Hummus Wrap was one of the best and freshest sandwiches I have eaten, even though I substituted the sauce for the spicy Jamaican Jerk and with no tomatoes. Perfection, although quite pricey for the size. I took off a star because of the extra long wait, and their communication usually not up to par. I ordered the new mango chicken flatbread which should have been made with everything on it but it was missing the tomatoes and bacon and had it not been from the very last bite I would not have know the sandwich had a mango sauce on it. Also, the kale/apple slaw lid was not properly on the container it spilled out in the bottom of the bag (not the first time this happen). Even with the missing condiments the sandwich was good because it had plenty of Brie cheese, spinach and chicken. My issue is with the district manager of the restaurant. I called to informed them about my issues with the order and explained to her that due to a medical issue it was in my best interest to eat the food so she told the shift leader to tell me because I ate the food they will not be replacing my order. Although I was not looking for a replacement it's the way she handled the situation. She could have asked what is it that we can do to make this right or even apologize for my order being wrong which she did not. This has nothing to do with the staff that works there because they can only do what the owner/manager/district manager approve. By the way the manager Chris was fantastic when I spoke with her and I'm sorry that she has to work for inconsiderate people. The provided dressing was a little too sweet for my palate though. Also, the pineapple topping was a little too charred and soggy on top of all the crisp bright greens.
