I ordered the Beach Bum which included milk, strawberries, bananas, sugar, ice and I chose dark chocolate instead of white (not a fan). My smoothie was deliscious and filling. I only ate about half and placed the rest in the freezer and had it the next day. It did take several hours to thaw enough to start drinking it. But it still tasted yummy! read more

We had a great experience here during their national flip flop day. The place was packed with customers but there were a lot of employees working to accommodate the amount of orders that were coming in and we didn't have to wait long at all. They had games and balloons for the kids to play to win prices. It was a lot of fun for our family and the smoothies were delicious. I love smoothies!! Tropical smoothies isn't my favorite but they were on the way to where I was going. I always get the strawberry banana smoothie no matter where I go. It tends to not be as sweet so I started getting the one with pineapple as well and its perfect. They're always courteous and even have a little happy hour which comes in hand. read more

These are not smoothies. They are slushees. They are 90% ice with some flavoring. I ordered two smoothies that were blueberry, strawberry and banana. Blueberry and banana are two pretty potent flavors. However there was so much ice that I could taste neither flavor. As the "smoothie" melted it was colored water. See my picture. So disappointed. I will not be back unless they launch a campaign stating they changed their recipe. Go anywhere else but not tropical smoothie is you are looking for substance. I spent $5 for 22 ounces of ice and 2 ounces of fruit. Just enough to color the ice. I could have gone to Rita's or Jeremiah's for better flavored ice and spent less. I accidentally ordered from the wrong location using the app, and McCoy was so generous and fixed what he could and offered a free entree (even though it wasn't his store's mistake) I was treated so rudely from the other store in Bartram Oaks. This Tropical Smoothie Cafe is unlike any other one I have seen. The interior is gorgeous and makes you forget you are at a shopping center. The staff is friendly and makes sure that you get points on your rewards card while you are checking out, as well as promptly bring out your order to your table. It does get a little noisy in here, so if you are meeting with a friend and trying to have a conversation, it might be hard to do! Even Thou there is no drive thru for this location compared to others, it is still pretty quick if you use the App to order, pretty much always ready waiting for you when you arrive. Menu has great selection and if you use the app to order ahead you can also customize your order, the accuracy it hit and miss at times, but i would say 8 out of 10 times it is right. The Staff if helpful and the Restaurant is daily clean. Recommend any of the smoothies without any sweetener added. But should note they are not made with Dairy, it is made with water ice cubes compared to others that use Daily ice cubes like milk or almond milk. The Flatbread are all good, but note the meats are processed. And the Peanut butter and Banana flat bread is pretty darn good, with Honey, but i leave the oats off. I tried the Bahama Mama this morning. Usually I get the Blimey Limey. It was really tasty! The lady that took my order was extra nice and when I left she said, bye Melissa. I loved that! Made me feel like she was giving me extra special attention. I walked out on my way to worK with a smile. Where do I even start with this one? I decided to stop at this Tropical Smoothie since it's up the street from my job instead of going to my Norma location which is in San Jose (HUGE MISTAKE). I always order the Chia Banana Smoothie with Peanut Butter and today was no different. After my order it caught me off guard when he rang it up for full price (The San Jose location has their items discounted until a certain time in the morning, I believe it's around 8). I went ahead and paid and waited for them to make my smoothie. The first time it was made (yes I said the first time) when he got done it didn't have the same consistency as they normally do being this one was more chunky. I figured the ice just wasn't blended down all the way but figured it'd still taste just as good and decided to take a drink before leave. DISGUST doesn't even begin to describe what it actually tasted like on top of it tasting watered down I was confused. I let them know I was satisfied with it and the only response was "well I put everything in there but I can make it again" Of course I wanted it made again and now I'm crunched for time to get to work. He remade the smoothie and this second time it tasted like air and diet something. HOW CAN IT TASTE LIKE DIET????!???!?? I guess this entire experience was a lesson learned and I'll continue to go to the one on San Jose and get my discount because this location is a NO GO for me and if anyone else wants to try my favorite Chia Banana Smoothie the right way I suggest you go to San Jose as well and you'll definitely be satisfied read more

This location, by far, has the best atmosphere and service. They're not perfect but they strive every time to give quality food and quick service. Each employee works together in a team effort to make each individual customers 100% satisfied and eager to return. Came to this location on Friday 6/12 after placing my order online, and was happy to see that they still had the huge banner that states "delivery + curbside" out front! I have a two month old and a 3 year old and we are still doing our best to continue practicing social distance. I called the store to let them know I was there, and the young lady who answered told me that the dining room was open and they would not be doing curbside anymore. I noted that the sign was still present, and that I still wished for them to honor that. She again told me no. I requested to speak to the manager and again told her that since the large sign that offered curbside was still up, I would like for them to honor it. Normally I'm not that "KAREN" but today I was; there's was still a huge sign out front, and if it wasn't there I would've totally masked up, and woken kids up naps to go inside. Thankfully the manager was kind enough to bring our order curbside, but unfortunately it was I complete. We got our smoothies and wraps but our sides were left out of the bag, and I felt that was done purposely. Normally my order is brought out with some type of itemized receipt and every item is accounted for by the employee before bringing it out. That did not happen today, which was completely upsetting. I didn't realize until we were basically home, so I was charged for food I did not receive. There is no way to express that my order was incomplete through the app and the only solution here was to go back to the store, which completely defeats the purpose of curbside. And if the service is no longer offered, the sign should definitely be taken down. read more

Today I walk in to place a order, and was rudely greeted saying I had to step outside to take my order so I kindly told her OK thank you so much no worries, ( I was very polite even though i was not happy with the Service) the manger laughed at me while I was walking out the door, I would not be writing this review right now if that . I will never return to this tropical smoothie again. I usually go to the one in the Durbin Pavilion. the staff there are so sweet and welcoming. False advertisement, mislabeled ingredients, and a complete ripoff - I can see why this particular TSC has a lower rating than most of their locations in Jacksonville. I ordered the "Hummus Veggie Bowl" which is to include *hummus, smashed avocado, pepper jack cheese, a *romaine, *kale & *spinach blend, rice, black beans, pickled red onions, *tomatoes & lite ranch with a side of a banana and an Island Green smoothie with extra B-12. I ordered online so it would be easy to pickup and return to work. The total was $13. I got back to my desk and opened my lunch to find a bowl of shredded iceberg lettuce, zero kale, zero spinach, zero romaine, zero hummus, zero tomatoes, hardly any rice, and no side banana. I really doubt I received the extra B-12 in my smoothie, but can't prove it either way. I reached out to Tropical Smoothie back on May 25 (the day of my order) to voice my concern and here we are on June 6 with no reply, no apology. I paid for kale, spinach, romaine, hummus, tomatoes, and a damn banana. This was not at all what they advertised and it is not at all what I paid $13 for. It was a complete ripoff. read more

I walked in tonight after visiting my Father in law at the hospital. After a very long day I just wanted a smoothie and some good food. I waited in line for a few moments (which is no issue, I never care how long my wait is as long as the service is great) finally I'm being attended to and begin my order. Another customer behind us basically pushed us out of the way as we are ordering and says "I'm in a rush I need to order now" she tells the cashier her order, keep in mind she pushed us and I was already ordering. The cashier simply ignored us and took her order. The lady stared at me basically saying "move". When I tried to continue my order I stated I can't believe you took her order after she did that and you ignored us. The cashier stated " don't bring me into this". I felt extremely upset, I would have gladly let anyone go in front of me had she not been so rude. The cashier should have handled this in another way! I had the worst experience ever here. I'm not one to normally write reviews but I feel like this needed it. I went to this location on Thursday February 14th at about 11:30/11:45. I ordered a Health Nut with Whey (which was also not great as I get it all the time) and I asked the cashier if it was possible to get JUST a cheese quesadilla, and she said yes. So I ordered it. When it first came out, it had chicken on it and I'm a vegetarian who can not eat it. I felt bad because maybe I hadn't been as clear as I thought, but I went up there and said "Hey I asked for a cheese quesadilla and this has chicken on it and I'm vegetarian.", the cashier was slightly rude but said she'd get it remade. When it came out the second time, it again had chicken on it. So then my friend I was with went up to a young man and said, "Hey She's a vegetarian and this has chicken on it. She just wanted a cheese quesadilla, could you remake it please". The young man was super nice and said yes. But it came out for the THIRD time with chicken on it. I don't know if my order was taken by a trainee but the other guy working with him did nothing to assist. I ordered a Detox Island drink and it took about 15 minutes to get it while there was a family of four that the one guy kept delivering parts of their order gradually. At no time did he walk faster than a snail. The guy who took my order spoke so softly I had to ask him twice what he said and the only reason I didn't ask him a third time was because I read his lips. If he was training, the person with him did nothing to get him to move beyond a slow shuffle and he ended up going in the back without trying to help this guy. I have been a regular customer of Tropical Smoothy and moved into this area and realize I will need to drive 20 minutes away to get good service and believe that today I could have gotten faster service by going to the one on San Jose or Bartram Walk and gotten back before this guy got my drink. If I sound frustrated...then you are you reading this review correctly. I also miss the days of customer service when I would hear please and thank you. Good, but the wait might be longer than you think. They do take online orders, like Starbucks for example. So you could walk in and think there's only one or two customers in front of you...but when I was there they had 5 orders to fill from online orders. Ehhhhh...these smoothies take a minute to make, so the wait kinda....got to be a bit much....for a smoothie. They did hustle though, so I appreciate that. For me a smoothie is kind of an impulse thing...I only want it if its a quick replacement for a meal...I really don't want to wait 20 mins...but that's just me.
