I picked up an Uber Eats order here with THREE smoothies, and they handed me all three individually with no drink carrier, no tape or seals on any of the cups, and they didn't even provide straws--I had to grab those myself. As a delivery driver, I also have to carry my phone and car keys, so I genuinely don't know how they expected me to safely carry three unsecured smoothies out to my car. One of them was already dripping all over me while I was trying to carry everything. For a delivery order, providing a carrier for multiple drinks and actually packaging the order for transportation seems like a pretty basic expectation. I stopped in here because it's my favorite location. As you can see by the two pictures, the properly made wrap on the right is clean, it tastes exactly like it's supposed to and the employees care and take pride in what they do so the service is excellent. I got the açaí smoothie which is so refreshing on a hot day and paired with an amazing tasting wrap, it's a good day. We go in and wait and wait and wait for someone to finally come out to take our order. There were several staff members in the back yelling and laughing cussing up a storm. The entire store sounded like a loud high school lunch room. Anyways, We go in there this morning to place an order. They have a sign that says their card reader was down so you have to make an on line purchase if you need to use a card. BEHIND THAT SIGN was another sign saying they can't take bills over $20. With that being said we didn't see that sign. All I had was a $50 dollar bill. They gave me a nasty attitude about it. There is a daily happy hour between 4-7, with a buy 2 get 1 free option! On the 29th of May, they had a national flip flop sandal day, where if you wore your sandals between 2-7 p.m., you got a free pineapple smoothie! Let me start by saying that I am very high risk for Covid-19 and that makes safety my number one priority when ordering delivery. I know that most of the rest of the world has gone back to normal. But, for me, the pandemic is still a huge factor. That being said, the safety of the packaging is vitally important to me. The food was tightly bagged. That made our lives (my husband's and mine) easier. But the drinks? We had to carefully pour them into 3 separate containers that we know are safe. This could have been avoided if someone took the time to bag up the drinks and stapling the bag shut. The handle for the drinks could still be accessible that way. Sure, it's not a huge deal and I'm sure this isn't an issue for most people. But, as a customer, I find that extra step of safety comforting and reassuring. I like when my safety matters to an establishment. On to the food & beverages.... Chicken Caesar Wrap: 4 stars. It was delicious. I would eat it again, but it's not the greatest wrap in the world. It was pretty good though! Detox Island Green Smoothie: 3.5 stars. There was a bit too much ginger. It was tasty and enjoyable. Maple Kissed Sweet Potatoes: 5 stars. My husband had the jerk chicken and said it was too spicy. And he got the Blimey Limey Smoothie and said it wasn't as good as he remembered. Overall, I am glad we ordered from Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get your order if it's busy, but well worth the wait. If you have the app you can order ahead and they're always ready by the pickup time if not earlier! I came and purchased 2 smoothies today and the employees are all very friendly. This location is very clean since their new management took over (there used to be a yucky couch in the corner but that's gone now). Anyway, there were at least 8 different smoothies +a few food orders ahead of mine in queue and it took about 10 minutes for them to get mine out to me. Not too shabby! Definitely encountered worse at other TS locations. FYI (because I don't know if many know this) they add sugar to their smoothies. The girl who was working late at night was very nice, I went in about 9:30 pm and she was cleaning and didn't seem the least bit annoyed that I came in while she was trying to do her closing duties. I've been here before and it's okay I thought but now I'm used to real smoothies. Smoothies that are creamy, silky mouth feel and delicious with flavor. I thought I was going to get that here but I forget how mediocre the product is. It's not the way she made it although it did look like one of ingredients is WATER. And it tastes like peanut butter banana water. Not creamy although there's yogurt in it. It's so bland. Tastes artificial-it really is mostly water. I got the peanut banana superfood and I passed on the "protein" maybe I shouldn't have done that and it would have more substance. I moved to an office in Anthem a few years ago but would still come to the Cheyenne location if I'm in the area but they always remember who I am. I just grabbed lunch from here a few minutes ago and was talking to Mike, the manager. I get the same friendly service everytime I come here. My favorites are: chicken pesto flatbread and king Caesar wrap. Smoothies: Paradise Point, Pineapple Delight, Strawberry Beach, Jetty Punch, Lean Machine and Peanut Paradise.
