I came the drive through and Brandon helped me. A lady with Brown hair was very rude and had an attitude. She screamed at me which was very unprofessional. She first told me I had two the same drink. and then she claimed that she has it otherwise. and I told her if she was having a bad day not to take it out on me. She didn't even have her words straight. Then she got even more of an attitude so I told her goodbye, then she SCREAMED bye and she was walking away. The banana was black and rotten and they didn't even give me a item that I ordered this snickerdoodle cookie. I will never ever be returning to this location again and I hope that lady gets reprimanded for her attitude with customer service. read more

Stopped here for lunch and I didn't really know what to expect. I'm always a little skeptical when it comes to wraps and paninis because they can either be really good or taste pre-made and heated up. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my wrap! I ordered the Baja Chicken wrap and it was huge! I couldn't eat all of it and saved part of it for dinner. The chicken wasn't rubbery at all which is something again I worry about. The wrap tasted so fresh and just really great ingredients. They have four normal sides to choose from: banana, apple, fruit medley and a kale and apple salad. They also have two other sides that are premium sides for an additional upgrade. I was really looking forward to the kale and apple salad that I ordered, but they mixed it up and accidentally gave me the the corn and jalapeño salad. It was good but was kind of watery. I don't think I would pay for this as a premium side normally. They have cans of soda to purchase if you don't want a smoothie with your meal. I just wanted water and they gave me a big cup and lid for free! I was pleasantly surprised as usually you get those really small plastic cups for a water. We received smoothies for being amazing healthcare heroes. To pay it back to this amazing company, we catered lunch for our staff. What a hit! They labeled all sandwiches/ bowls/ wraps and smoothies individually so when the staff came to pick them up, there wasn't anyone touching anyone else's food. The food and the smoothies were incredible! I ordered the Thai wrap and the cranberry truffle smoothie- yummmm! The general manager was a pleasure to work with as well:-) we will be going back!! read more

There's a reason this place is so poorly reviewed. I stopped in today to get lunch and I clearly told the cashier I wanted a Santa Fe quesadilla. When I received the wrong quesadilla, I politely told her and she was beyond rude to me. She said I didn't say that and that she even read the order back to me in which i approved it. Between the sound of the blenders and the music, one of us miscommunicated. However she went to blame me and roll her eyes, murmur under breath and whisper to another employee right in front of me. Dropped by with my son one afternoon for some smoothies. There are a lot of options, starting at around $5. We ordered a mango smoothie and a banana-based smoothie. Before I ordered mine, I asked whether there was any dairy in the drink I ordered. Oddly, the coconut has dairy in it. They nicely asked whether I was allergic to dairy because they could use separate utensils to ensure no cross-contamination. (Note: According to the owner, his employees were mistaken about there being dairy in the coconut. The restaurant uses coconut milk.) Unfortunately, that's where the good part of the visit ended. I sat at the smoothie bar to wait (it's right next to the smoothie prep area) and was noticing that the restaurant didn't seem very clean. The trash cans were almost overflowing and the floors looked wet and dirty. Then, as I watched from two feet away, an ungloved employee used her fingers to put peanut butter in a smoothie. I probably should have just canceled my order, but I certainly won't be back. Yuck! My smoothie was okay. My son drank a few sips of his and then announced it didn't taste good. Came here around 7pm on a Thursday and ordered 2 adult smoothies and 2 kids smoothies through the drive thru. There wasn't a wait, no one in line but a lot of people were eating outside. The lady that took my order was nice, transaction completed as it should The time to wait for 4 smoothies wasn't too bad and they asked if I wanted a drink carrier. This is a pet peeve of mine (I hate taking them). Now, onto the smoothies themselves. I got the detox island green. According to their nutrient guide online, this was one of the more healthy options on calories. My wife got the beach bum with dark chocolate. It was really really sweet. Overall, it was a great experience. My smoothie had a really good blend of fruit in it and it didn't taste bland. I'll be returning, when I'm in the area. read more

Always understaffed and it takes 30 minutes + to get a simple order. This has happened to us 3 consecutive times. They also ruined our smoothie where it wasn't blended all the way and you could not drink it since it was just chunks of ingredients. We called and the manager said he would take our names down and comp us smoothies the next time we came in. Came in today to collect on that promise only to find out our names were never written down and they would not honor it. I will not return and do not recommend this location to anyone. read more

I really like this place! It is welcomed in New Berlin with limited options. Their menu is HUGE! Personally I love the Pomegranate Plunge. They have a great happy hour in the morning from 7-9 AM I believe (HALF PRICE)! The smoothies only come in 1 size and are huge. I have not tried any of their food yet but it always looks great. They do have a drive thru which is convenient. I work around the area and my coworkers and I love to come here. The manager is always very personable. Hello all ! So today I went to Tropical Smoothie Café. I ordered a smoothie (choc/banana/peanut butter) and a Baja Chicken wrap. As always, the staff was great. Always friendly. The food was good. Tasty and warm. I do wish I could order a small size smoothie, as drinking one of those 24oz fills you up! It is made to order, so it does take a few minutes to get your order filled. I am glad to have found Tropical smoothie right by my new job! They have a wide variety of smoothie options and other foods too like wraps and salads. I thought the smoothie I got was really affordable and delicious (açaí berry smoothie). I would like though if their menu listed full ingredients (such as added sugars, milks, juices) aside from just the fruit in the smoothie. It might be nice if they included calorie count too. The one thing that disappointed me was that at checkout the woman working was wearing a small bandana as a mask but it wasn't secured under her mouth/chin area so it was just like she wasn't wearing a mask at all. I completely disagree with all of the bad reviews on here. I'm actually embarrassed to admit how often my family has gotten smoothies and food here and we have not once had a bad experience. The worst thing I can say about them is that sometimes it does take a little extra time to get an order but it's always because it can be exceptionally busy in there and they are new and still hitting their stride. You can watch them make the smoothies, so not sure why people wouldn't say something at the time if they weren't happy with what they received. I love having a healthy option to offer my family and this place has met all my (high) expectations. The food here is really bad. I ordered online for pickup. Chicken Caesar, no tomatoes. Well, there were chopped tomatoes all over it and the chicken had big globs of fat all over each piece. So after 10 minutes of picking out tomatoes cubes/chunks of fat off my chicken, I was hoping at least the flavor was good, but it wasn't. The most flavorless salad I've eaten, ingredients all seemed cheap and not fresh, and the meager amount of dressing they gave with it definitely wasn't Caesar, it was more like a watery ranch. The apple and kale slaw is just chopped with a mass amount of a sugary salad dressing on it. My friend said her wrap also had no flavor and both of our smoothies were watery. This place just opened and has some serious growing pains right now, but HUGE potential as a healthier fast food option. Interesting menu of sandwiches, wraps, bowls, salads, in addition to tons of tasty healthy smoothies. We were here in the middle of the lunch rush. My husband ordered a quesadilla and PB smoothie, and I had a hummus veggie bowl with an island green smoothie. Food was good although there was a lettuce core in my salad - tolerable at home, I guess, but not ideal when dining out. The smoothies were very yummy. BUT it took over twenty minutes for our order to come up (and then they gave us the wrong order - which they corrected right away). Sooooo like I said -- growing pains. Stopped in yesterday for a late lunch / early dinner. My daughter and I ordered different smoothies - both of us enjoyed our smoothie - they were huge! I'd rather have some options and choose a smaller one, but I enjoyed it enough to drink the whole thing. I ordered a quesadilla and she ordered a sandwich. Both were good - quite good, maybe a little pricey for good, but basic food. I thought the smoothie prices seemed low given the size - I would have expected to receive about half of the size. I did not watch how the smoothies were made so I'm not sure if they use all fresh ingredients or not, but they were good. The customer service was good as well. read more

Looks like Tropical Smoothie Cafe is only good for their namesake, and even those are oveepriced. Terrible service. Just about everytime we've gone there, they've messed up our order somehow, usually not following our simple requests of no cheese (which is an option if you order online). I always check after pick up, and today was the same issue. I went inside to correct a wrap that yet again had cheese. No one addressed us as we waited at the counter, even though one made eye contact with me. Then, she finally did: "Can I help you?" "Hi yes. I didn't order this wrap and chips, and this wrap has cheese when I asked for none." "What are you missing?" "Nothing. This stuff isn't ours, and I asked for this with no cheese." At this point another employee came up and said they'd remake it. He goes over to another girl and says, "I need a new Caribbean jerk wrap." Doesn't say anything about the cheese. So I call out, "no cheese!" And now by this point I'm irritated and I say, "This happens everytime I order from here. There's always cheese when I say no cheese." And this employee goes, with attitude, "Well it was a pretty big order." EXCUSE ME?! "That doesn't matter. It was a simple request. And I was also waiting here while you guys are drinking smoothies and not acknowledging us even though you looked right at me." The girl goes, "I thought you were waiting for an online order." And I say, "OK? How about 'hi can I help you?'" Nothing else was said. No apology, nothing. The guy gives me the new wrap and says "have a good one" under his breath. I say "thanks" and walk out. Went here around lunchtime on a Friday a few weeks ago. Food was okay. Had the PB wrap, which was actually pretty good. The smoothies, however, were massively disappointing! Tasted like a bad version of a really watery, flavorless icy from a gas station. Even my 5-year-old daughter was confused. Just had a Jamba Juice the other day that was a million times better! For a place that literally has smoothie in their name, they really need to step it up. read more

I agree with other reviewer - growing pains. Huge potential and love having a healthy alternative in the area. Only one size smoothie - Very Large and a little expensive. Why pay nearly $5 for a smoothie when I can't drink that much anyway? Definitely watered down. No other beverages to choose from. Liked that they use real fruit! Had Chicken Caprese. Good - not incredible but a nice alternative to burgers, etc. Seemed to be a draw for teens and young adults looking for alternative to coffee. Expanding menu, offering alternative beverages with different sizes would really be beneficial. read more
