5 star smoothie . Happy to see a location in Tallahassee and even able to make the muscle blaster smoothie that was not on their menu in Tally. The strawberry banana with pea protein powder which may sound funny but tastes great. Service was good and they even have an app you call ahead to order if choose. App even gives you 1st smoothie on them if order through it. Easy to get there close to another favorite restaurant of ours for an after dinner treat. read more

Stopped by to try the acai bowl. I specifically asked if I could customize my toppings and after being informed that I could, I mentioned what I wanted in the bowl as my toppings. After waiting a few minutes and being given my order, I realized that chia seeds were included. The young man who brought my order was not the same young man who took the order. I indicated that I didn't ask for chia seeds and was then told that the seeds came on the bowl! Talk about being all over the place! Because I had to be somewhere at a specific time, I didn't belabor the point, but I was not happy. As I was turning to leave, I heard the young man who took my order say "she didn't tell me she didn't want chia seeds!" I was tempted to address this lack of customer service with the manager, but figured it wasn't worth it at this point; will just write this location off my list. August 11, 2026: This is an update to the review I posted two years ago (July, 2024). I decided to have another go at the acai bowl. Even more disappointed this time. When I received the bowl, I noticed that there seemed to be way more fruit than acai (note, when I got home, I added almonds on top). In any case, the bowl should be on the menu as a fruit bowl, with a side of acai! LOL! I decided to test this theory and went back a second time and asked for the bowl without fruit and just granola. Well, as you can see based on the photos I posted, there is just a "smidgeon" of acai. Truly, not worth the money for a teaspoon full of this tasty fruit. read more

Cannot believe they have a tropical smoothie in Tally so close to my families home.Definitely had to get a special smoothie for after dinner for my fave Yelpie. This must be a popular location since had at least 4 employees working on a Monday night. Took awhile to get our order completed but it was delicious and tasted as good as remember from the last time even though we ordered a drink that was not on the menu. Everyone is very hardworking and polite there even when its busy. I always get the Detox Island Green which isnt sweet but my favorite. The food always tastes yum, but it can take a while. Although it seems spacious it can get loud very quickly (people and, the blenders, duh) read more

This place is slammed now. When I came in there were just a couple of people. I ordered an Islanf Punch smoothie and was very pleased. When the place became crowded it became all hands on deck. It was pretty impressive how fast these people worked! I will definitely be back! read more

I frequent this location of Tropical Smoothie largely because my son loves their smoothies. Tropical Smoothie runs various different varieties of smoothies with accompanying rewards if you get their app. The food, salads, wraps, and quesadillas, usually have various options as well. I've not eaten a salad or had a smoothie I didn't like (with the exception of doing a detox smoothie I customized that wasn't yummy at all, but no fault of the restaurant). I usually never stay to eat, but order ahead and get it to go. The environment is similar to other fast sit down food restaurants where there is enough seating, but nothing fancy. I haven't had any issues with service either, even when they are slammed with customers. My only feedback is to somehow mop the kitchen area floor more often as it always looks quite dirty. I know this can be a hazardous when customers are there, but that's my only feedback. I'll continue to visit often thanks to the consistency of the food and service. read more

I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Since I found it I have had a smoothie almost every day and skipped Starbucks. Such a healthier choice! Love the BBQ quesadilla. The breakfast peanut butter honey and granola flat bread is the bomb. The sunrise sunset & the Açaí Berry Boost are my two favorites. The only thing I suggest is it needs to be cleaner. Even the front door glass is filthy dirty. Definitely needs to be cleaner. The staff is friendly and I do recommend trying this place it's good. read more

In terms of Tropical Smoothie in general, I like ordering off Tropical Smoothie's mobile app as it is really convenient. Also, one thing that will always put Tropical Smoothie above other smoothie chains is their food. My favorite is the Thai Chicken wrap! Regarding this location specifically, the staff were very nice and everything came out very quickly. Cute location currently, but I'm glad they're also renovating and expanding. read more

Okay, so yes, generally, a smoothie is a smoothie. And if you are a repeat customer of a smoothie chain like this- you probably will not find anything out of the ordinary here. Just left after ordering two smoothies at 8:50 (ten minutes until close) and no eye rolls or complaints from the employees. I think that's worth a lot nowadays. read more

Delivery Order did not provide straws. Straws are pretty much essential for consuming their smoothies. Its very awkward to try to consume a smoothie without a straw. I contacted Doordash who delivered the order seeking restitution. They gave me a small credit and refused to bring me the straws. read more

Slow service for curbside pick up. Decided to try curbside pick up today. Placed my order on the app and drove to the store. It was supposed to be ready at 12:53 and I and still sitting here in my car at 1:00pm. I have tried to call the number listed on the sign and selected option 2 as instructed but no one answers. Not sure if this is faster as I see people going in and coming out and still here I sit. The car next to me was just delivered their drinks so maybe I will be next!!! Crossing my fingers and hoping my car won't overheat sitting here! Ok tto call and no answer again. So now an employee came out and asked for my name and he will check on my order ( I ordered 1 drink). Now it's 1:05 and I received my drink with no straw and it was very liquid! Not like their frozen drinks at all. Won't be back! read more

Worst Tropical Smoothie meal I've ever had. The "chicken" was hard and tasteless, and they put tomatoes on all of our sandwiches when we requested them without. We also ordered a kids meal with a smoothie and they didn't tell us the smoothie we had ordered couldn't come in kids sizes... which would have been fine and we would have gladly chosen another if we knew! They made the full smoothie and charged us 10.59 for a kids meal!!! To make matters worse they only carry their own "Tropical Smoothie" brand chips now, and they're gross. Ugh. At least the smoothies were still good, but three awful meals for 33$ is ridiculous. read more

I'm a regular Tropical Smoothie goer, and I have been to this one a number of times because it is near my house. Problem--they consistently have bland, less flavorable smoothies than other smoothie places, including other Tropical Smoothies. I don't know if they put too much ice in or not enough fruit or what. I don't know if it is intentional or not. But there you go. read more

Tropical smoothie has some great smoothies. If you're looking to get something healthy, try the Healthnut with blueberries and almonds. If you're looking to indulge the Peanut Butter Paradise never disappoints. They also have some great sandwiches. The only downside is that Tropical Smoothie tends to be expensive for me, mainly because one medium smoothie alone won't fill me up for a whole meal. read more

The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and professional and after we placed our order, he gave us our cups and a number so the server would know where to bring our food. I went with the pesto pasta chicken caesar salad and I have to say that it was very good. Everyone else got sandwiches and I think the salad was the way to go. The ambiance was pleasant. Bright and clean are both positives. I would definitely recommend this particular Newk's Eatery if you are in Tallahassee and looking for a good meal.

Our apps arrived around 7:45 PM, and we placed our entrées shortly after. During the long gap between apps and dinner, we witnessed a few tense interactions between the host who seated us and our server. The host came across as very abrupt and rude, and honestly, we felt for our server in that moment. Our entrées didn't arrive until around 9 PM. While our server stopped by a few times to apologize and say the food would be out soon, we noticed multiple tables who were seated after us receiving their meals first--which was frustrating, especially as we were getting really hungry. We were close to leaving when our food finally arrived. The French onion soup had virtually no flavor--it was so disappointing I didn't eat it. I mentioned it to the server, and while she apologized, it wasn't removed from the bill despite clearly being untouched. The risotto was fine but again lacked flavor. The only somewhat enjoyable dish was my brother's chicken pesto, but even that came out room temperature. Overall, it was a disappointing experience--especially for what was supposed to be a celebratory dinner.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the smoothie bar where Chris and Tanner were working, and I just have to say--they were both incredibly helpful throughout the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with friendly attitudes and made me feel welcomed. They took the time to listen to what I was looking for in a smoothie, asked questions about my preferences, and offered knowledgeable suggestions based on what I told them. It was clear that they both really knew their stuff and genuinely cared about providing great service. I appreciated their patience and attention to detail, and they didn't rush me or make me feel like just another customer. When I finally received my smoothie, I was even more impressed. It tasted absolutely amazing--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly blended. You could tell quality ingredients were used, and the balance of flavor was spot on. It was one of the best smoothies I've had in a while. Thanks to Chris and Tanner, the whole experience was top-notch.
