I'm not vegan but I do stay away from dairy as much as possible, especially in the summer heat. This is why finding a place that offers vegan pizza and ice cream in the center of the most touristy part of a city is truly amazing. I hope that they are doing well and that they will get to stay for a long time, because I know that they can help so many people have a better day in Annapolis! We ordered a personal pizza to share and we each had a fruit smoothie. We had a big dinner planned so just needed something small for lunch, and this was perfect. Crispy thin crust and just enough vegan cheese to hold the toppings on the pizza. Red sauce with a touch of sweetness that was rounded out with the addition of red pepper flakes. Really enjoyed my gluten free 10 inch personal pizza here! You place your order at a kiosk and can personalize it including the crust type, cheese, protein toppings and vegetable toppings. I have celiac and cannot have gluten so I appreciate the gluten free crust option. There's even a button on the kiosk to note whether it's a nutrition preference or allergy. I ordered the gluten free crust with mozzarella cheese, chicken, bacon, basil, spinach and tomato and it did not disappoint! Everything about it tasted so fresh, and it even felt really healthy! The pizzas as all made fresh and are very reasonably priced ($10 for up to SEVEN toppings). The crusts were crispy and tasty. The sauces were a mix. The the Alfredo sauce isn't overbearing but very flavorful but the red sauce is a bit mediocre (but definitely not bad just not amazing). The cheese blend is likewise really tasty. Stellar service! We showed up a rad bit early and didn't realize the restaurant wasn't open yet. The owner swiftly came up to us and told us it was no problem and that he could serve us quickly. We ordered gluten free and vegan pizza which were both delicious. We could tell the dietary restrictions were taken seriously because we thankfully did not feel sick afterwards (I.e. the food was really gluten free!). We had ordered water bottles but they were all out- the owner kindly offered to refund us which we told him wasn't necessary but he insisted and was very nice about it. I absolutely loved my experience at TropQ Pizza. Staff was super warm and inviting. This was the first time that I was able to get dairy free pizza in downtown Annapolis. You're able to build your own pizza so we got half pepperoni and all basil and tomato with dairy free cheese. The pizza came out super thin crust and super tasty at an affordable price. The pizza was tasty with fresh ingredients. It was nice to be able to get pizza downtown with my friends and being dairy free makes it not easy to do that lol. Plenty of vegan options too! The pizza at Fox's Den a couple of blocks up is very good, but it's a sit-down restaurant. I like a place where I can just drop in, grab a bite, and head out. TropQ Pizza is that place. I got a plain cheese pizza, as a baseline, and my daughter got the vegan pizza, because she's in college and is difficult. The manger, Ty, was EXTREMELY welcoming and enthusiastic and kicked out our pizzas in no time. My pizza was thin and crisp, with a perfect amount of sauce and a very generous hand with the cheese. My daughter devoured her pizza enthusiastically and said it was ridiculously good and she brought the leftovers to bring home and reheat later. She's interested in coming back to check out the acai bowls and smoothies. Overall, a great addition to downtown where it is nearly impossible to get a quick bite that doesn't involve a server and check.
