This business is not worthy of even 1 cent of your money. I requested back in 2024 to cancel my "membership." In March 2026, I received a collection notice claiming I never canceled. This is a horrible way for a business to conduct itself. Of course when I called, they wouldn't speak to me and I don't think I'm alone. I can't be! If a business is reputable and conducting itself in such a way, they wouldn't have to extort people to earn revenue! I won't stand for it. BBB will hear all of it and so will my attorney. SAD!! My experience with Tru Tan in Queen Creek has been nothing short of frustrating, misleading, and unprofessional. I initially visited the salon in September 2023 to purchase a few tanning sessions before a cruise. The young lady at the front counter (likely a high school student) advised me that purchasing two months of service would be more cost-effective than individual sessions. I explained that I only needed one month, but she assured me I could "freeze" the second month for use within six months. That sounded reasonable, so I agreed and used the service for a few weeks in September. Fast forward to April 2024, the month I intended to use the "frozen" second month. Due to a back injury, I was physically unable to lay flat in a tanning bed, and as a result, I never used the service that month, yet I was charged for it. The real problems began in May 2024 when I noticed a completely unauthorized charge on my credit card. I returned to the Queen Creek location and was told they could not provide a copy of my signed agreement in person--I had to email info@trutanning.com. On May 5, 2024, I sent a detailed email requesting: * A copy of my signed contract * Immediate cancellation of my account * Confirmation that no further charges would be made to my card I received no response. I followed up with a phone call and spoke to a manager (possibly named Stacy) who informed me that I could not obtain a copy of the original contract unless I came in and signed a new one--which is not only absurd, but deeply unprofessional. Despite her verbal assurance that no further charges would be made, two more charges hit my account: * $112.90 on July 2, 2024 * $97.90 on July 5, 2024 At this point, I contacted my bank to dispute the charges and blocked Tru Tan from making further transactions. I also followed up with a second, more urgent email on July 7, 2024, reiterating my demands for cancellation and a contract copy--still no response. Since then, I have received 18 harassing notifications from Tru Tan stating that my "payment has not gone through," dated from August 2024 through May 2025. I have not used their services since September 2023. Their refusal to stop charging me and provide a copy of a contract I supposedly agreed to is outrageous. This business has: * Misled me into signing a recurring contract under false pretenses * Failed to provide a copy of said contract * Ignored multiple written and verbal cancellation requests * Continued to charge me and attempt further unauthorized payments * Harassed me for nearly a year with payment notices This is not just poor customer service--it borders on predatory billing practices. I regret not checking Yelp beforehand, as many others have had similar experiences. I strongly advise avoiding Tru Tan at all costs. No service is worth this level of stress, hassle, and outright disrespect for customer consent. read more

Beware, this company had multiple complaints filed with attorney general for fraudulent charges and refusal to cancel accounts. They have the girls up front conditioned to pretend that can't reverse an erroneous charge. The place is not clean and spray tan machine rarely works. There is nothing good about this place. read more

Tru Tan has taken a turn and not for the better. I feel like the employees I once praised have been affected by either new management or changes from the owner. Sadly, I'm lowering my rating to one star, as it's become clear this business feels more like a money grab than a place that genuinely cares about its staff or customers. I'm especially disappointed to see Sheridan go. She was the reason I kept coming back hardworking, friendly, and professional. It is impossible to cancel your membership. No calls or emails back. I'm on month 4 of trying to cancel and have now resorted to filing a dispute with my bank. They are also not all owned by the same corporation so you can't go to all locations. They also have dirty locations. The Gilbert, AZ location needs a seriously good deep clean. read more

We needed a good tanning salon in the Queen Creek area. The staff here is wonderful, the salon is kept up very nicely. The bulbs in these beds are fantastic for the price! They also offer teeth whitening at an affordable price, highly recommend. read more

This place is so sad. The level 5 membership has 2 beds and one of them has no facial tanner bulbs and is missing over half its bulbs. The level 4 membership has only 1 bed which breaks down often and no one can use it. The other level 5 bed is missing bulbs too. Save your money don't go here. read more

$80 a month for tanning is insane! You can't purchase spray tan per each one, super annoying and they never have any deals.... Need a palm beach tan or celebrity tan in Queen creek with their great specials and cheaper prices! read more

(Interesting that I couldnt find a yelp for the west end location.) NOT FULL SERVICE. This used to be 'Club Tan' on Watson in Buckeye, a wonderful salon. It WAS a full service salon then, with full size hand towels and clean goggles ready for your session. They USED to have a little boutique with really cute clothes and cute jewelry to browse if you were waiting for a bed, but no more. I had a membership for 3 years before the new owner took over in 2023. First she stopped supplying goggles, then she took the towels away. That's when I quit. The first time i had to put my clothes back on my sweat dripping skin with no way to dry off, I was done. She doesn't keep the bulbs swapped out like the original owner did. The fact that the original owner had a service company come in regularly to change out bulbs BEFORE they burned out, so his clients always got what they were paying for, has been lost on the new owner and under her management was the first time I experienced a session without the full lighting I paid for. She also raised the prices by a lot for newbies. Why 2 stars and not a 1? Because the girls who work there are great, they get 5 stars! read more

This is twice where I have come in- no one at reception waited for 4-5 minutes. ( remind you when someone is squeezing in a tan in between errands and work time is valuable). I have ajs ti walk out twice because no one was tending or they were taking a while to check anyone in If it continues I'll find elsewhere read more
