Went here on a 'first date' Fri Jan 3rd, with my dear friend who is vegan and has many food allergies. He had the Spaghetti Squash Casserole - where the staff gladly substituted vegan cheese and served it sans the caramelized onion. He also had a side of mixed vegetables and a slice of pie for desert. He found everything to be delicious. I enjoyed all that I ordered, as I'm pretty flexible. But what stood out was how accommodating and informative our waiter was; we felt very welcomed and safe regarding ingredients that my sweetheart must avoid. I loved true food kitchen so I came back to show my mom around town. We ordered the edamame dumplings and the charred cauliflower. The dumplings sadly were cold but still tasted good. I frequently come to this location and love it. Flavor of the food is always quality and staff always lovely and kind.

I wanted to try out this newish restaurant and picked a perfect Valentine's lunch for my mom and me. The service was outstanding and perfect, but the kitchen/food was the worst we have ever eaten. My mom is in bed now the next morning feeling sick in her stomach since last night. The guacamole was salty and sour with the chips so hard that our teeth would have broken into it. The server admitted that so why not change it? My tuna bowl had again hard dry black rice and the same sour taste but nothing else. The tuna was cream in color almost white. Seriously the supermarket tuna bowls have more flavour and look fresher. Mom's meatloaf with potatoes, was absolutely tasteless and again hard and dry, not only the crust but the whole piece. Meatloaf should be soft and moist. The potatoes were the same, with no taste and hard skin. When stated my honest opinion the waiter brought one chocolate cake which was also not great at all. We definitely won't forget this place and experience and now mom does not want to go out ever again, which is sad, because there are great restaurants nearby. read more

Unfortunately I don't think we can endure another overall experience like the one we had. People - you're running a restaurant!! Met with a group of friends for dinner. Never been to a TFK so was looking forward to. The dinning room is quite large and clean, and I noticed a private room. We sat in front of the kitchen, so it was nice to sort of see the back and forth of the kitchen crew although I could not see the actual cooking which was a bummer. The menu is healthy and they have delicious options. I wish they had a lot more items on the menu though. I ordered the pan seared sea bass which came out looking dry, but actually wasn't! It was delicious! On a bed of cauliflower rice and salsa, mushrooms, almonds.... But I didn't like the snap peas at all, too crunchy, the texture did not match the dish. The food was delivered via door dash to our hotel. I chose this restaurant because the staff there ahead of time assured me they had vegan food. As the only vegan in my group, it was very upsetting and confusing to me to figure out what were the vegan items I ordered because the food was not labeled. Then they did not send the main entree that I ordered, which took 20 minutes to figure out, because was nothing was labeled. The manager agreed to send me items as a replacement at no charge. But the food was not good, and this was after we had not eaten all day, after sight seeing. I would not recommend. The corn soup was good as an appetizer. Love true food! I've been to a few locations in the DMV area and the Annapolis location is one of the nicer ones with a good layout. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and helpful and all of their dishes are GOOD. I've gotten the tomato soup which I'm a big fan of and quinoa teriyaki bowl, I've tried almost all of their dishes. The manager Kayla always sets me up and makes sure I'm good.
