TL;DR: Food was really good...that's about it. We had reservations at 7PM on Saturday for Restaurant Week, yet we still had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated. So, it wasn't off to a good start. When we finally made it to our table, our waitress didn't seem too thrilled to be there. Staffing appeared to be an issue, which was made apparent when it took a while just to get our water. At least the complimentary bread was good! We placed our orders, but I was extremely let down when the waitress said they ran out of limoncello cake. That was one of the main reasons I chose this restaurant. Bummer! My appetizer was the sausage stuffed mushrooms. The presentation really needed some work, but it was delicious. The sausage had a hint of spice and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. I then got the chicken parmesan, which came with a side of pasta. Again, excellent dish. Very moist chicken. For dessert, I opted for the turtle cheesecake since limoncello was out of the question. Two others in my party ordered the banana cheesecake, only for our waitress to come out just before handing us our dishes and say, "We're actually out of that too, so you're getting turtle cheesecake." Everyone in my group had to swap out our initial choice, so we weren't thrilled. The turtle cheesecake was delicious though! I was quite surprised. However, the slice was pitiful! It was so small! I felt jipped. To top it off, we had to bus our table at some points because no one took our plates. There wasn't any room for the dessert, so we used the nearby counter to stack our dishes. What a shame, out for a romantic dinner with a special someone only to be let down. Our server forgot the salads and brought them with the meal, only people in the restaurant, and it took forever, trying to enjoy an expensive meal with Chef Lewis standing 15 feet away with a bottle of vodka FaceTime in his drunk friend saying " look, I've got my bottle "?!?! Absolutely unbelievable. yes, it was the end of the night. However, I felt that we were hovered over an eyeball to hurry up so they could get their night going. Keep in mind it said that it was open for another hour when we got there and I even called from the parking lot to make sure, in the Cook himself said they were open, but when I got there, the concierge lady said they were close, but then figured why not let me eat. Seems rather strange. I could hear them in the kitchen with loud music and let seem to be partying going on. Guessing there is no supervision here. I noticed the other server was using the computer for food and drink orders for a party out in another area, however, ours wrote it on a piece of paper and took it back so I am hoping the money wasn't pocketed. The parking lot seemed extremely dangerous with what looked to be gang activity, loud, sketchy, looking vehicles, and people literally standing in the parking lot, staring us down as we got in the car.... Ok I know it's in a Hilton garden in but that does not mean it can not be a good restaurant and bar. There were about 10 people even late night. The meal started with a salad that was drowning in dressing. So much I could not taste the lettuce. Bread we could not decide if old, not heated right or stale. We select all of the above. The steak was better than the rest. But hard to justify the $25 price. You can say you get what you pay for but a burger from Wendy's would have had more flavor. And I normally never eat fast food. In the end we should have taken a cab to another place. Probably should have bas d on the meal. The most disappointing part was that Even the service was pretty un inspired . Normally in the Mid West people are very nice and give you a warm and welcoming experience. This just wasn't the case either. Live and learn I guess as they say. Our 7:00 reservation turned into 7:10 rapidly as they were quite packed when we arrived for restaurant week. The first challenge upon arrival was finding the right door. Took a couple of minutes walking around the hotel to do so. Our booth was across a wide corridor from the rest of the restaurant and it seemed to be a main corridor for hotel guests. The service was extremely slow. It was an over 2 hour dinner. The sausage pockets were delicious if greasy. The fried ravioli were thoroughly stuffed with cheese. The salmon had a perfect flavor with a massive side of mashed potato. The steak was served with a classic steakhouse potato, and was quite juicy . The desert was epic. A massive plate of ice cream and chocolate cake, or a carefully crafted lemon cake. Water glasses were not a priority, and one disappeared for about an hour before being returned as refilled. read more

Columbus has too many fantastic restaurants to waist your time and money here. If you are staying at the hotel, take an Uber or Lyft down the way to Easton and enjoy a meal there. The staff is unprofessional. I thought I would scream if our server called me hon one more time. The decor is out dated with a cafeteria feel. Really disappointing. Spend the money and at least make it feel welcoming. Our first table was close enough to the revolving door that we felt a breeze. It's really unfortunate because the food was pretty good. For our monthly pick of the month restaurant with my SIL and BIL we picked this brand new restaurant. Our server was good. We had plenty of water. Lol. To be honest the service was slow , really slow. My BIL ordered a old fashioned. It was pink ? A old fashion ? Our dinner reservation was six we finally got our food at 730 ish. Such a shame this beautiful restaurant wasn't up to par. While the appetizer was delicious. The rest of the service was absolutely horrendous. Our servers name was Angela and she was the most unattentive server I have ever witnessed going to a restaurant in the past couple years. I could barely get a refill on any of my drinks without asking another server to grab it for me and after receiving my meal we weren't checked on at all. Extreme waste of time and money! The reservation was at 3:45 pm for 8 people. We had to wait until 4 pm to order dinner which was fine because brunch was the only option. However, the server (Jennifer) didn't bring us menus until 4 pm so we couldn't even look to see what we wanted to order. She finally took our orders at 4:15 when she came back. Never saw her again until 4:45 when they finally brought some salads (apparently they couldn't get the Caesar salads ready). By this time over half our table needed refills on drinks, but she didn't stay long enough for us to mention. I had to go to the bar to get straws because she didn't give us enough at the start. 15-20 minutes later, they came with all the entrées. We finally got refills at this point. My Chicken Parmigiana looked ok but had a weird texture to it, almost grisly. It was cooked but maybe had freezer burn? Another person got it as well and agreed something was wrong with it. Mashed potatoes had a lot of large lumps in it. Temperature of food was luke warm, not hot. Another person ordered the ribeye. She did not like it at all. Visually, it was only about 1/2 inch thick. One child ordered the steak sandwich. It was extremely well done!! Luckily, I don't think he cared he was so hungry. Birthday girl (mother) ordered the creme brulee for dessert. (We asked for bills at this point.) The sugar on the top was coarse (large pieces) so it didn't melt and form the barrier you would expect. She didn't finish it. We were still waiting for our bills. My bill was wrong. Both children's drinks were charged $4 each when they were supposed to be part of their meal (says it on the menu). I realized the reason she sucked so bad was because they added 20% gratuity to the bill so she didn't have to worry about her tip. Obviously, she wasn't good enough for the 18% standard. We finally could leave at 6:07 pm, about 2 1/2 hours later! Let me add the restaurant was not busy at any point in the evening. Needless to say, we will never go back. If you are given this as an option, avoid it like the plague! Any other place is a better option, and being this close to Easton means you have many other options! read more

Checked out this place for restaurant week. It's inside a hotel off of Morse road across from Easton. The place looks amazing and very high class. Just opened in February so it's not been open very long. I enjoyed 2/3 of the appetizers. Toasted ravioli were the big circular ravioli, good amount of filling and a nice golden crust. Bruschetta had a decent flavor although the goat cheese kind of takes over everything. (Ok with me since I love goat cheese). The one app that let me down was the sausage bread. I was expecting more of a roll with sausage inside. I'm guessing the whole thing looks more like what I expected but this was just slices of the bread, and instead of it being "stuffed" it seemed like there was a layer of bread (very thick) a layer of sausage and sauce, layer of cheese and then a top layer of bread. Sausage wasn't coming through the way I would have liked it to and the bread seemed a bit too soft (almost on the verge of being underdone) in the middle. I got to try all three apps: -Salmon: overcooked, somewhat dry and very salty. The rub was decent but the mango butter didn't come through at all. There was no flavor of fruit on any way and the salt in the tub just took over everything. - Cavatappi: pasta was well cooked, plenty of sauce, meat, mushrooms. I have a very high spice tolerance so the "spicy" part of this dish did not come through for me but I could feel where heat would affect others. My friend tasted it and said it was spicy so take her word for it not mine . Again, only downfall is the sausage was not the main taste here. For a homemade sausage I was really wanting it to be the star. I could taste some fennel maybe? But overall the dish was a little under seasoned. - Steak: this one I will not be able to give a fair shake cause my friend asked for it med-well and they delivered. Steak was dry and hard to eat but I tend to order my steak medium so this is a hard comparison to make. Also doesn't help that it was a small steak to start with. Seasoning on the outside seemed ok as far as I could tell. Mashed potatoes for both the salmon and the steak was delicious. Garlicky, chunky, skin-in potatoes, yum! Desserts: Now this is where the meal went 100% right. All three desserts were amazing, although the molten chocolate cake was not what I expected (more on that in a bit). -Limoncello cake: probably my favorite of the night. Cake was light and lemony. Fruit drizzle and fresh fruit was the perfect addition to it. Perfect combination of sweet and sour and light ending to the meal. -Banana cheesecake: also delicious. Chocolate crust was crumbly and moist. Cheesecake was solid but still smooth and the bananas on top were brûlée'd with a little crust that made them delectable. -molten lava cake: cake had a great flavor. If you are a chocolate lover I would give this a try. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Issues: cake was dry, very crumbly almost hard to get onto a fork for a good bite. There was NO LAVA . Cutting into the cake there wasn't even a solid chocolate core so I was wondering where the lava part of this cake was. It was cupcake sized and this is one of the hardest cakes to make happen so I'm guessing the size did not help. But if you're going to advertise a molten lava cake I would want there to be at least a gooey center. Overall, this place just isn't for me. The steaks are what they are known for and I can see them being good but I don't care to pay the prices they have for everything else. Portions are decently large to equate the higher price but that's not always what I look for. And then there was the service; thought it was going to be so fun because he was so energetic at first and slightly funny. Not sure if he got busy as the night went on or what but after we put in our order that was pretty much the last we saw from him. We got better service from the guy who cleared our dishes than the waiter. Waiter would come by and be with us for all of 60 seconds, and then run away. Other people came by and refilled waters, cleared dishes, answered questions, and talked with us about the place. I normally don't go by one experience for a restaurant but like I said before, not for me. Atmosphere, service and price just take it out of possibility of coming back quickly or recommending it. read more

My friend who was staying at the Hilton and I stopped in for an after dinner drink. We had a nice time and conversation , but when it came time to pay up the bar tender, Amy, acted as if we couldn't charge to the room. We had seen multiple folks come and go charging to their room prior to us finishing our night cap. She further indicated that the room charge software wasn't working and asked us to go to the ATM to pay the bill. After some pressing, it miraculously began working. I came with my boyfriend here for the first time to try out it out for restaurant week. The waitress seemed ok when she came to take our order. After we ordered the appetizers. She stopped by to drop off the bread and disappeared for at least 30+ minutes. I saw another waitress checking on her tables more than our current waitress. When she finally came by with the appetizers we told her that we were ready to order and wanted refills. She said "okay" and disappeared once again. Not once she asked if we were okay or make much eye contact. When we finally got our entrees 30+ minutes later. I had ordered Lobster Mac and Cheese as a side that was an extra $5. It was bland and watered down cheese. I had to season it with salt and pepper and some more cheese that they had on the table. The Sirloin Steak was tuff and chewy even though it was over medium. For $35/person, the food and service was not worth it. I'd rather have went to Longhorn for better quality food and service. read more

I don't think this will ever become a place for the locals because there are so many better options in town. My husband and I decided to try because this place because it was new. We sat at the bar and ordered two drinks and an appetizer. The drinks came out and that was our first clue it was going to be disappointing. Not sure why the 4 people who reviewed this place so negatively, but for a Reasturant that has been open for three weeks is really doing well. I'm very appreciative that a hotel chain put in a real Reasturant instead of the regular 6 item menu item place. The service was really great and the bartender Hailey was spot on. 6 out of 8 meals came wrong! Either wrong item or wrong temperature. The actual meet quality is terrible! So it didn't help! The appetizers were way below average. The salad dish that comes with the main dish is small and done really poorly. The waiter was trying to be friendly but she was poorly trained to serve at any restaurant let alone a steakhouse at a Hilton proporty. They automatically deducted $25 of the bill without us asking, but the experience remains terrible. To add insult to injury, the checks came before we were asked if wanted deserts, and we put the cards and waited for a good 10 minutes and then we flagged another waiter to get the cards and she went looking for our waiter without any luck. I went to the hotel front desk and asked for the restaurant manager and the poor guy said "I am sorry" he too went looking for our server and then ended up running the checks himself. Keep in mind we arrive for an 8pm on a Friday evening and they only had 5 parties/tables. And 3 people at the bar. So very light traffic! I wish we documented the food with pictures! read more

Service was good and attentive. My appetizer was missing ingredients. I got the Bruschetta. No basil or olive oil. It was bread, goat cheese, raw tomatoes and onions thrown on top. Then my steak came out with the wrong toppings. It was supposed to come with a house salad and never offered one and never got bread. Asparagus was wilted and mushy. Wine is way way way overpriced! My husband and I eat out A LOT and this was a very good meal. He ordered the medallion trio which was cooked perfectly and I got the Chanel No. 5 and it was incredibly tasty. Definitely impressed and we do not understand the lesser reviews this place is getting. Worth the trip, though you wouldn't expect this quality of food in a Hilton Garden Inn. The only reason it's getting a 4 instead of a 5 is for ambiance. Wish the lighting was a little dimmer (would add to the Sinatra-esque feel they are going for). Service was great. read more

Service was terrible to nonexistent! We were there early, so the place was not busy, but our server was nowhere to be found. Tried the toasted ravioli appetizer and was very disappointed, these were basically square mozzarella sticks. The Cavatappi was a large serving, but not much flavor. My wife had spaghetti with meat sauce, which she could not eat because it was too spicy for her, even though there was no mention of spice or hot pepper on the menu. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal, but because of the above-mentioned lack of service, was never able to. I would make it a zero if I could. The food was great, but we can't recommend that anyone ever go to this restaurant. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn attached to the restaurant. Not only will we never go back to the restaurant, we will never stay at the hotel. The service was not poor, it was scary. We asked for water twice (after waiting 10 minutes after the first request) and were told that we would be asked to leave the restaurant if we asked again. My family of three decided to try Johnny's and we left with mixed emotions. The bread served at the beginning was awful. It had the worst texture and it was dry. Then on to the spinach & artichoke dip. TO DIE FOR!!! It was amazing. On to our entree's, my wife ordered the ribeye with baked potato. SO GOOD!! Baked potato skin was crunchy and salted perfectly. The ribeye was cooked amazingly well with a fantastic sear on the outside, DELICIOUS!!! I ordered the chicken piccata which I make at home at least every week. It was really, really, good!! The white pasta that came with it was horrific. Not only was it cooked in unsalted water but it was terribly overdone, yuck! I originally wanted the prime rib, they just didn't have it. Crazy to put something on the menu and it just not be prepared for a Saturday night. The service was AMAZING!! We had a gentleman with curly hair that was very attentive and made one hell of a delicious gin martini!! It was so crazy because this place has potential but they're so off on some things. Absolutely DEPLORABLE service! The host was not on post, nonchalant when she arrived. Waitress not knowledgeable about menu (which I'll give a pass). The food was not fresh, lukewarm, and the texture was tasteless! I got the ribeye and my spouse got the chicken parmasean. The texture of the latter was suspect--clearly pulled from the freezer or old--on a Friday night! The garlic mash potatoes were cold and lumpy. The staff was pushing around chairs making screeching sounds on the floor while we were eating. The staff person looked up and apologized--but the damage was done--insensitive and unaware. We were never offered a chance for dessert (we would have turned it down but noticed the courtesy wasn't given) and the bill....let me tell you for the prices they're charging it's highway robbery! They should have paid ME (and the other patrons) to eat there. There are too many better options nearby to eat for the money. I'd avoid this place like the plague. You're welcome! read more
