Update: After the job was 'done', it deteriorated so no hot water flowing. The supervisor came back, fixed the issue and now everything is working. It took 4 visits. Kudos to Chris to following up to try to make things right. Upgrading to 3 stars. *************** Called them to fix a leaky kitchen faucet. They came quickly, looked at the job and said they have no parts, would come back next day. They came back and said the faucet is too old, have to replace it. Fine, I agreed. Then the used-car sales tactics started... the T-valves under the sink are old, might not work - $800 to replace them, etc. You need to replace the pressure valve, etc. They took the old faucet off and guess what? They brought the wrong parts. They went away again leaving a mess all over and no faucet but leaking water all night. They came back the next day (3rd visit) and replaced the faucet but now the disposal seal was leaking. (it wasn't before they were there). They said they could reset the disposal seal for $600 but they have to get payment. I said no and they left. I pointed out the leaking disposal in a text and the plumber called me a liar. Then the plumber texted back that the 'boss' said to come back and fix it. Nope, they had 3 changes to do what should have been a simple job. This was a very frustrating experience. A little more positive service attitude rather than the "customer is an ATM" attitude would have gone a long way. They might even be good plumbers, they certainly have a lot of good reviews which is why I picked them. I'm sure the company pushed them to sell, sell, sell because of course, customer have unlimited money. I'm happy to pay for good service and a good experience, But, I don't need the frustration this job caused - and continues to cause - because now I have to go fix the problem they left. read more

We had a very positive experience with True Value Plumbing when we called them and talked with Kitzia about a blocked sewer line on a Sunday morning. Other companies we had dealt with in the past either weren't available or charged a huge premium to come out and help on the weekend. We searched through Yelp and saw True Value's strong reviews and the fact that the owner, Cody, is a Veteran, an experienced plumber and this is a relatively young business he is trying to get going, with a focus on being customers' long term plumbing service. Sounded good to us! Alex1 (Alexander) came out the same day and tried for a couple of hours to hydrojet some pesky roots out of the line. Although he wasn't able to fully remove the roots, he was able to clear out enough to get us back in service. Chris, Alex1, and Alex2 (Alejandro) showed up the next morning and the Alexes began digging down to the area where the roots were. They worked hard to dig through our hard clay and rocks to get down to the affected coupling and eventually got there on Tuesday, but still weren't able to remove all of the roots manually. They came back with the hydrojetter again on Wednesday and tried for a couple more hours to get the troublesome roots out by hydrojetting from the closer disconnected pipe, but were still not able to get them fully removed. At that point Chris (the Field Supervisor) discussed the options and pricing for further manual digging to get to the clay pipe area where the root was intruding or to have a subcontractor they work frequently with come out to de-scale the pipe more aggressively, followed by installation of an epoxy liner. His strong recommendation was for the latter. The subcontractors came out Friday morning, accomplished their work within a couple of hours and repeat videos showed clean, newly-epoxy-lined pipe which has a 50 yr. manufacturer's warranty and a 3 yr. workmanship warranty. Our plumbing has worked superbly ever since! Both Alexes were extremely polite and respectful throughout the process which involved many hours of hard, dirty work to excavate down to where the pipe was. Chris was a very reassuring and also pleasant, knowledgeable and professional presence throughout the experience, helping allay our anxiousness throughout what was a very stressful process for us. Their prices for the initial camera inspection and hydrojetting seemed a little high compared to what we've paid for previously, but they offered and honored a military discount and applied the initial charges toward the more involved later work. Overall, we thought the prices ended up being fair and reasonable for what eventually was a quite involved multi-day stepwise repair/improvement effort to our main sewer line. We felt they lived up to their "True Value" name and they will be our first call for future plumbing needs! read more

Initial Problem with bubbling/gurgling sound coming from the downstairs toilet and sewage water backing up into the downstairs walk-in shower. It slowly drained after. It's a recurring problem for 6 days whenever we use our kitchen sink, our other upstairs bathrooms, and when doing the laundry. I tried a few solutions to see if it will fix the problem. I poured Dishwashing liquid and hot water into the toilet bowl and the walk-in shower drain several times, Snaked the shower drain, Opened up the sewer clean out in the side of the house to release pressure in the pipe causing nasty stuff spewing out, I used a 25 feet snake/auger to try and unclog whatever is causing the back up but it didnt hit any obstructions just took out small sludges. Obstruction must be further down the line so my snake/auger is not long enough. I found three more possible sewer clean out in my garage. One 6 inch and two 3 inch possible clean out without label, but I'm hesitant to open it. Anyway, those other attempts worked temporarily but it got worse over time so I went on line and found 8 plumbing companies around my area. I researched and started reading up on yelp reviews of all 8 companies and found 2 with great reviews that has recent 2025 reviews. I called True Value Plumbing first on 12/23/25 and I was told to expect a return call on 12/24/25 at 7am which exactly what happened . Anna called back and got me a 10am-12pm slot that was changed to an earlier slot of 9am-11pm due to an available tech. Tech came promptly at 9am. Alex was very polite, respectful, and very professional. I gave him the whole spill and showed him the problem. At that moment, the back up from the clean out was gone but I wanted to make sure it stays that way so I proceeded with what he suggested which is to put a camera down the sewer line to actually see if there's a clog and snake it. He asked if there are other sewer clean out and showed him the ones in the garage. Lo and behold, the two with no label were the ones he needed. He started putting a camera down the sewer clean out going towards the house and found no clogs. Then to the sewer clean out going towards the City's Main Sewer line. Found what it seems like a pink-colored material or object and the line was full of water. He proceeded to break it down by pushing and pulling using the head of the camera until he got through and proceeded to check further down the line until it was clear. He checked and verified the line a couple more times to see other obstructions. After that, Alex proceeded to use the motorized snake/auger to unclog the line more then switched back to camera, this time with the hot water turned on from the kitchen sink to help with the grease/sludge and by flushing the toilet a few times. Just verifying to ensure there won't be any water backing up towards the house. At this time, it seemed like it is now working properly. He also pointed out a part of the piping that has a slight belly (offset) which can affect the pitch of the pipe that could cause possible clogging. He even use a detector to pinpoint the location of the possible belly in my yard. Since, things are back to normal as of this moment, that will be another story for next time due to budget restraints (I hope it will not come to this). After the job, he cleaned up and disinfected the job site. By the way, this company is Veteran owned business and gives 10% discount to Military and fellow veterans so there's another bonus for you future customers. This is the reason why True Value Plumbing has great reviews. I don't usually do reviews but this time it needs to be done so other people who are in need of help get an honest work done and priced accordingly. Once again, thank you Alex for a great experience. I learned a lot of things today from all your explanations and answers to all my questions. You saved Christmas for me and my family.
