Very good food truck near the Las Vegas Convention Center. It has Japanese inspired burritos and rice bowls. I got the chicken burrito with the hot sauce and it was very well made! The chicken was juicy, the fried rice inside was great, and the veggies were sauteed to perfection. The hot sauce was an amazing compliment to the burrito, and it had me wishing I had more to douse the burrito in. 10/10 come here if you find yourself at the LVCC, like I did for CES 2023, you won't be disappointed.

Went to this food truck and the customer service was so bad . The lady taking the order was rude and when my order was ready it wasn't called and when I asked if it was my order because it was sitting there she just slide it to me . The food I will say was delicious but after this experience I won't purchase anything else from this spot

In the food truck game around town Truknyaki is one of my favorites. I always get the Shrimp plate and my husband always gets the Rib Eye Plate. Always delicious. Wish there were a bit more veggies or option to add a side of veggies or extra fried rice. Decent price for a food truck comparatively. Service is always friendly.

I love this truck. Doesn't matter which other trucks are around I always go to truk-n-yaki. It's delicious and most importantly to me it's consistently delicious. Every time I take a bite I'm mad I didn't order a second one. By the time at the end of the burrito I'm barely able to finish it and probably made the right choice only getting one. I do wish they would give you a bigger container of the spicy salsa because that is also delicious.

Email confirmation with non working phone number. Don't try and order pick up unless you confirm on your own where they are.

I really wanted to support this business and give it a try. I placed a pick up order through their website and it was smooth and easy. I got an email confirmation, cross streets, and a number to call for the pick up. I waited an hour plus to drive down and find... Nothing. Thinking I'd been scammed I tried to call the number in the email and it said it wasn't in service. Panicked, I googled another number that thankfully did go through, and they tell me my order is ready. "Great! But where are you?" Turns out they're in North Las Vegas, some 40 ish minutes away. Yeah, I'm not driving to a food truck to pick up 40 dollars worth of cold food (including a 15% tip). I requested a refund and am still waiting on it. They cite iPad issues for the delay. I'm incredibly disappointed because the food looks great but I won't give them another chance after this frustrating experience that's left me pissed and hungry. Especially given I still haven't received my refund. Edit: Though it took some time, I did receive my refund, so I have adjusted my review to reflect this. I do still wish they could have let me know their location had changed and they need to update their email contact number for pickup. I would have gladly ordered another day when they were closer again.

Japanese plate with two meats: Shrimp & meat

Teppanyaki on wheels? Yes, now that's possible thanks to the delicious Truk-N-Yaki! I was at the furniture convention in Las Vegas and there is have a food truck court outside the buildings. I did not what to get for lunch. I wanted something yummy but not too heavy or greasy. I saw this teppanyaki truck and decided to give it a try. I ordered the "Japanese plate with two meats:" Shrimp and rib eye, the plate comes with rice and veggies. The food was delicious! Great steak and shrimps. The steak was a little over cooked but it still tasted good. You have the choice to have a side sauce either sweet or spicy. I got the sweet to put on the rice. I also got a "Japanese Chicken Burrito," for my co worker and he loved it. He got the spicy sauce with it and enjoy every bit of it. I think is awesome you can find this type of food in a truck. I don't give them 5 stars because the paper plate where I got my food was mushy by the time I got it. The soy sauce was dripping and it was a little mess! Luckily I had a plastic bag to put the food in!

10/15/15: Truk-N-Yaki at the Great American Foodie Fest in Henderson

They've been around for almost two years, but I only just tried this local truck today at the overpriced Great American Foodie Fest. (Not entirely my choice, so don't judge.) Truk-N-Yaki bills itself as somewhat of a Japanese steakhouse on wheels. They offer a simple menu of rice plates and burritos, with the same protein options for each: chicken, shrimp, and ribeye. My mom thought that the ribeye burrito ($12 at this event) sounded relatively interesting out of the available foods at Foodie Fest, so we got it. It was conveniently sliced in half on the diagonal and had a medium-spicy sauce on the side. The burrito was hot and pretty rich in flavor, the protein portion was sufficient, the ribeye was meaty yet tender and the shell was crispy. The sauce was nice but not essential. I enjoyed it overall, but the flavors weren't mindblowing and the portion was very modest. I liked them, but this could've easily been a 3-star review if they'd been slightly more stingy with the meat. Maybe I'll try them again after I've explored the rest of the local Asian truck scene.

I love this truck! Every time this truck visits my work, I always choose them. I really enjoy the shrimp plate with fried rice. I've also tried their ribeye plate with fried rice but in my opinion, it was way too salty. Especially when I got to the bottom of the bowl. Good thing is, they really don't skimp on the protein! I have yet to try their other combinations but I look forward to trying more next time they stop by my work again! Service is also great and quick. Give this place a try!

Truk-N-Yaki is without a doubt the best food truck in Vegas. The customer service is great, food is prepared right when you place your order. Very tasteful and great price. I will continue coming back.

    Ribeye was pretty good!
    Arabela C.

Had to give 3 stars since the rice was sorta hard and tasted old. Sucks. I do have to give mad props to the ribeye. It was delicious and tender. The sauce wasn't too bad either. I'd definitely try it again, just in hopes that the rice is a bit more fresh. I'll try the burrito next time.

The food is good but overpriced. The veggies are 90% onions even when you ask for easy onions. So I would say it's good, but not great.

We arrived right before 5pm when it opened and there were already 4 people ahead of us before they even started taking orders. For only having 2 ppl in the truck, they moved pretty quickly, but by the time we got to the front of the line, there were at least 10 more groups of people behind us. In total we were there about 30 min outside from getting in line to getting our food. We had to get the favorites we've seen, so we got the crackin chicken cutty fries, the green chile burrito smothered, and a slice of Tiramisu. The fries and burrito were both so flavorful. The chicken in the burrito had such a great flavor to it by itself but the green chile was fantastic, a little spicier than I anticipated but mixed with the pinto beans it was such a good combination of spice, flavors, and just goodness. Everyone recommended getting it smothered with cheese sauce and green chile on top so we had to. Definitely found out why it was recommended *love* The fries, omg the fried chicken was so crispy, perfect seasoning on the breading, and the different sauces mixed with it... yup definitely tasty. Such a huge portion size, but they do offer upgraded chicken cutty fries as a side with the burrito to get the best of both and smaller portion. And the tiramisu..... *chefs kiss * it is my favorite dessert so I have high expectations... this hit the mark, and the slice was so massive!! I'm so happy I'll be able to eat on it for days!! Pricing for all of this plus the prickly pear cutty juice with pineapple (which was also very tasty and fresh) was over $60 so a little more expensive but lord, with the portion sizes and all the toppings it's totally worth it!!! We will be back! Just may go try the brick n mortar location bc it was extremely hot outside to be standing in line waiting after 5 pm. If the line was any longer we probably wouldn't have waited. The other locations are a lot farther from us so this was the best location wise. Also would be nice to open earlier, but may not be as easy to do in a food truck which is understandable.

If you're looking for something different that's packed with flavor, I definitely recommend giving them a try!

For months I've seen The Spot To Eat truck parked next to the VA office on Palms Airport Drive for almost every other day for lunch. I couldnt find any Yelp listings and never thought of looking on Facebook. Until today when something in the office smelt good and I couldn't figure where it was coming from. At the truck, its a trailer pulled around by a truck, all the pictures and descriptions just blew my mind, I was excited and upset that it took me so long to finally try it. I saw and even smelt their Buffalo Chicken Salad and I wanted one but held off. I started asking other's what their favorites were and went with Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich and Crack Fries. It was delicious on its own and only $7 ($6 for the sandwich and $1 if you add fries). It was a fried chicken with Teriyaki sauce, pineapple, tomato, lettuce, and wasabi mayo between a roll, I mixed up some deli mustard and sriracha and added to the sandwich. Did I have a smile on my face? Yes. Ordering fries on their own are $3 and ordering almost any sandwich or burgers are $6. Delicious looking gourmet burgers at a reasonable price. Their trailer has a TV with sound. I usually see them during lunch at the VA Office near the airport but follow them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thespottoeat and Twitter https://twitter.com/TheSpotToEat to see all their pictures, menu, and where there going to be.
