Good beer. Didn't get the full vibe because of arriving at 4pm. Very welcoming bartender. Completely remodeled from the days as King Harbor. Trusted Gut looks to be in it for the long haul.

An excellent saison beer to accompany The Fleuria's audiobook listening party

Came here for an audiobook listening party with The Fleuria (romance book truck) and had a great time! Loved the space, lots of seating and parking, excellent beer! Loved the saison! They have fresh brothers personal pizzas and I didn't order one but I wished I had as soon as my tablemate opened her box haha. I'll be back for one of those and another beer!

Place has decent beer with a lot of seating! Low lighting which gives a nice ambiance. Has a giant TV that showed the Dodger game which was a nice touch. Not sure if we would get the pretzel again though. It was just ok.

One of the best stout beer I ever had! This brewery has an offering of healthy beers. The pill dinner was delicious. The stout was very tasty. So was the Amber and the blonde ale. The owner was very kind. The service was very good and the prices were very affordable. We will be coming more often.

I stumbled across this place on Instagram and they truly SOLD me on their Kombucha honestly. My husband and I love hanging out at brewery's but they don't always have something I like and with my husband everyone we leave he is so bloated and not feeling the best. Absolutely loved this place where we can both enjoy something honestly. The ambiance is great, I love the look to it very simple and minimalistic and the Stools they had with high tables and the little light in the middle added a bit of elegance to the spot honestly. I love that they have different seating areas. For those who wish to see sports they have a projector with the games that's on for the day and it's perfect. They have another lounge area that's kind closed off for other events that they host so it's pretty neat. Their bathrooms are pretty clean as well. They allow you to bring your own food which I love but they tend to have some Vendors pop up just check their instagram to see events and what there will be for food. We went on a Sunday afternoon and Los Dos Mayorales were there and I cannot express how much we loved their pizza better than some other places for sure. They were so chill and had our pizza out within 8-9 min and it was delicious and went well with our Drinks. Love that they have some of their beer's to go if you wish to take some home which is a great touch as always. My husband bought a T shirt and the quality is great! Their service was great don't have many people just the girl up front taking our order but she was nice and if you wish to try some they allow that. Can't wait to be back with our friends we totally loved this spot and it's close to home as well. Can't wait to catch some playoff games here and enjoy a beer without the aftermath of being bloated. Win win!

First time accidently finding this place and super glad I did. They had some awesome pizza being sold by a vendor! Delicious server was nice and even came to the table to see if we wanted refills. they have a nice big screen to watch sports! And plenty of games to choose from while hanging out and having a drink! The ambiance is on point

This was our first time here since King Harbor closed and we really enjoyed our beers and our time here. The beers: Kolsch 3.5/5 American Red 3/5 Schwarzbier 3.5/5 Irish Stout 4/5 Saison 4/5 Scottish Ale 4/5

Enjoyed our first visit and liked everything we tried.

Great first visit. Felt welcomed and loved the layout of the big space and the lower alcohol beers suit our style quite well. Recommend the Michelada as well.

They have snacks behind the bar (chips, pretzels, etc.) There was a food truck in front of the brewery when I was there.

Plus, Emily Gilmore implied that it was…read morenitwit juice and Buffy devolved to a Cave person after drinking enchanted beer so these quasi-after-school specials taught me that heathens and their kin drink beer. Of course, I kid, beer can be a wonderful thing, I just rather do cocktails and shots. So I went to Sugar Monkey Brewing because of a different pull: a power point slide show where friends pitch their single friends to strangers for a chance at love or romp. So I went in not knowing much of Sugar Monkey Brewing and I left with clear understanding that this place is an industrial beer oasis near the beach. The contrast of sand and blue on the horizon and the present aluminum lining made me feel like I was seeing a new uncommon mixture that proved that clashing environments can gel to delight. I found parking easily. It was a Saturday early evening, and about a 5 minute walk was where I discovered my spot. I honestly hated that I had to walk those 5 minutes but the walk uplifted my spirits for the weather was California crisp and the air and sky and atmosphere felt safe and proper. I wondered if i had the right place? The streets looked like too industrial. Like I had gone to one of those places that had a lot of factories in rows, but not much else. But I turned a corner and there was Sugar Monkey. Then I realized that a brewery would probably look like a beer factory so this place, with all its steel and pumps, had found its home amongst beach skies. As I walked back to my car, later that evening, I was in slight awe at the pale light blue and orange sky. It was serene, and vast and somehow beach appropriate. The water tower iin a picture I took was a nice touch as it reminded me of the Animaniacs, especially Wakko and Dot. I arrived after the first presentation was on its way. I started to listen intently to understand the dynamics because this all seemed so weird yet plausible. Like a dating auction turned fun not hokey or corny? The person was hyping up her friend J. Apparently, he spoke many languages, and hiked and did all these other stuff that were meant to induce attractions. Then she asked, What can he do? And she then explained how she was going to make a joke and that no one needed to fear going to hell if they laughed. And she then reveal that the thing he can't do is SEE because he was blind. The joke was in good taste. The joke, at least to me, carried disability pride. She had revealed that he was different because his sight was different to a crowd of would be judges and suitors. The strength of the duo was refreshing, dare I say, more than the beach breeze. Being witness to this moment made me feel like I had seen a beautiful moment and one I never imagine I would see. And for this reason alone, my trip to Sugar Monkey was more than fun, it was heart-opening. The place itself is cool. Their outside was a huge garden like setting. The place had pool, however, the patio is crowded so I am not sure how people can play if too many people are there. Another thing I saw- that is a credit to this place- is that it had a wheelchair elevator. So if someone was chilling in the patio and wanted to chill in their wooded floor area- where the bar was they could use the wheelchair lift, if they could not use their legs. The place had also had kind of like an off-beat personality. It had a British phone, an astronaut that seemed to have hit a space that painted him with grafitti flare, and beers with names like green means go. I think I would go to this place again, for the beer and the air and to Karaoke. I loved this place and the activity it hosted!
