I had a door lock problem with my aging GE oven. I changed the control board and door lock motor switch assembly myself, but ran into a problem with the wiring on the switches. I called Trusty to help me figure it out. Lisa and Pett were so easy to work with. I got the feeling that they were on my side. They arrived right on time and were so friendly and cheerful, happy to help me. Pett, such a sharp technician was able to determine where I went wrong with the wiring hookups on the four wires leading to the switches on the door lock motor. They did such an excellent job, and the oven is working like new again! I almost fell down when they said that I only owed them the $59 service call charge. I offered them a tip and they refused to accept it. I can't think of a single time when I've experienced such extraordinary service for anything I've had repaired. I went through my warranty company to get my dishwasher fixed. Well last time I did this it was a awful ac company but thats another story. They guy who showed up to my house was right on time. My dishwasher started acting like a spoiled brat-lol! Didn't want to do anything right. Numerous aggravating issues. - Time to call a pro! Looked through Yelp and based upon many great reviews, selected Trusty. Called Trusty and talked to Lisa, who listened to all problems and set appointment for Pett to come out. Pett impressed me with both his knowledge and thoroughness. He checked everything. But, like all spoiled brats, the dishwasher was on it's best behavior....until the end. During the diagnostic checking, everything looked good, but then Pett noticed a delay in response time of different functions. More checking was done and a switch was replaced, which appears to have resolved the problem. He also had to order some coils, as one had broken during one of it's tantrums-ha! So, Pett will be back to replace the coils and we're hoping that in the interim all is well. - I can truthfully say that this was the best experience I've ever had with an appliance repair service. Pett was here for approximately 2-1/2 hours, in order to insure all was taken care of and his charges were so reasonable, I thought he made a mistake-lol! I recently moved in to a new home where I was told the appliances were working and new. Well the fridge and dishwasher ended up not working correctly. I originally used this place to fix my refrigerator. They ended up having to come out a few times because nothing was operating correctly in the fridge. They determined it was actually an old fridge based on the serial number even though it looked newer. The made it their personal mission to assure they figure out what is wrong with it and why it's not operating. I ended up then using them for my dishwasher also. They were so very pleasant and patient with me and really made me feel like a customer should. They definitely know the definition of excellent customer service. The burners on the oven wouldn't work. It was late in the day and I checked the Yelp reviews to see if I could find someone to come out the next day. Trusty Appliance had sterling reviews so I called them. Surprisingly, Lisa said they could come by shortly to see if they could take care of the problem. Pett and Lisa worked together to diagnose the problem. It turned out the oven needed a new electronic board. Pett said he would look into ordering the replacement part and call the next day with an estimate. He called the next day with an estimate. He also said it would take a few days to get the part. Then he went above and beyond. He called a colleague, who happened to have the part. He was able to get the part, come back out to the house and get the oven up in running in time before dinner. Pett and Lisa were prompt, kind, helpful and came over to look at my frig. They rushed over, so they could try and save my food from my spoiling. I thought that was very thoughtful of them. After a day my frig went out again and Pett rushes over again. Turned out it wasn't the frig this time; it was a faulty electrical breaker, but he still took the time to check all my electrical outlets and let me know the problem and there was no charge for this 2nd visit and all the extra work he did to help me figure it out. When our KitchenAid oven wouldn't heat up in our new home, we had a difficult time scheduling a repair at a time when one of us is home. We contacted two other repair services, but Trusty Appliance Services was the first one I found that had hours this late as well as having perfect reviews. I was lucky to get Lisa on the phone before they closed up shop for the week, and Pett was extremely professional. I thought it might just be an assessment but Pett had the part I needed for the fix and fixed it on the spot. He was also kind enough to take out the filter for me to clean (was not part of the repair), advised me how to clean it, and put it back into the oven after I cleaned it, as a bonus service. Pett and Lisa are a good team; they provided excellent repair of our 40 year-old Hotpoint oven. We submitted a request to Fidelity National, our home warranty insurance company. The oven's lower heating element, which allows us to bake, did not turn on. Lisa promptly (the next day) called us to set up a service call. She offered to have Pett, Trusty's technician, come out the following day. Within 5 minutes, Pett found the problem: wires from the control panel to the lower heating element were broken. Within twenty minutes, Pett repaired the wires and checked that the temperature to which we set the oven matched a thermometer inside the oven. Pett took time to explain the pros and cons of the old Hotpoint we have versus late model units with induction hotplates and convection ovens. If I could give 10 Stars I would do it!! I have used Trusty Appliance for a Bosch dishwasher, KitchenAid refrigerator and a Viking range. I used different appliance repair shops on these same items and had poor experiences each time. I finally called Trusty Appliance because of a friend recommendation. I cannot say enough good things about the service and their integrity from both Pett and his wife Lisa! My most recent experience was on my Viking range that is 14 years old. Most people won't even work on it. Not only did Pett fix it, but instead of replacing a part he was going to order that would have cost around $300, he did his homework and realized he could probably just replace a $3 switch. So that is what he did and did not even charge me any extra labor even though he had to come back to install the switch. Bottom line...if you need an appliance repaired call Trusty Appliance!!!! Amazing service!!! I had my stove, dishwasher and microwave all go out at the same time, some sort of electrical short. They came and found the problem and had parts in within a few days.
