I love TS Cafe! They have pretty solid drinks and snacks! I've ordered both in person and DoorDash and they have been consistently good. Great place to get a snack and delicious, well cooked boba in some nicely steeped tea! My usual go-to order here is Assam Milk Tea and the popcorn chicken! Just ordered a couple of boba drinks. They have an extensive list of drinks. Also have lots of food options. The place is pretty spacious but only a few tables with seats. I wouldn't say this place is the cleanest. We sat in the back while waiting for our drinks and you can see the kitchen, hear all the cooking/frying and everything that is the "kitchen". Lots of flies flying around the middle of the store. Could def use a good clean or organizing of random boxes, furniture, etc. Drinks were pretty sweet after selecting 50% sweetness, so not sure what I would have gotten at "standard". I love this boba shop. It plays old school canton pop! I was so surprised and sang along. It's spacious!!! But they have yet to put back all the tables for dine in. Only few tables. They have really good drink options and different flavors and interesting new flavor combos I never seen at other shops. Their food menu is impressive as well. It's not your traditional Asian boba shop popcorn chicken and spam musubi but they have sandwiches as well. I haven't ordered the snacks yet but will next time. Only thing I don't like. Minus one star is the wait time. Ordered 3 drinks. One person ordered ahead of me. And there was a small group of teens sitting down already some had drinks some didn't. So I'm assuming they're still making their items but not after some time have passed. I'm talking about 10-15 mins. They also do uber eats or door dash orders and one person came to pick up for their customer but it wasn't a big order, looked like one drink and one snack item. Came here for the boba and it has been consistently good! Location has plenty of street parking. The staff is always super friendly and nice. I really want to try their popcorn chicken next time. I've only had their: 1. Fresh Mango Sparking Water: Super good with fresh fruit bits in the water. it's perfectly sweet and refreshing with the bubbly sparkling water. 2. Jasmine Milk Tea: Very good jasmine taste. A bit too sweet for me. Dang, I just found my favorite SF boba joint. If I could give out an award for best popcorn chicken, I would give it to this place. It's so crispy and chunky, and if it was just a little bit more juicy, it would be perfection. I ordered the mango milk tea with boba as well, and that drink was so yummy. Mine was the hibiscus, I usually don't finish my drink, not even half way. But I drank nonstop til half way, share some with my nephew and niece. Drank the rest myself within 30 mins. The mixture was perfect. I love the fruit bits. Mango grapefruit popping boba was my niece and nephew. They even finished the lemon in the drink. Pineapple lemon was my brother and sis in law. They loved the combination. Sweet and tangy. It went really well together. I'm glad the lady put my drinks in a drink tray and a bag. Unlike other shops, I don't like the filmsy cardboard holder as it's not strong enough. It broke on me all the time just walking to my car, I have to hold it like a football. Soft opening...like really soft opening. Actually, more like beta testing because it took several tries with the cashier to place my order for two drinks. After giving me one drink, he asked me what I was waiting for. Ummm the second drink? And, I was the only one there. I also wasn't told it was cash only until after I ordered so I was scrounging for cash in my wallet. Bless his heart! I remember my first job at Macy's and I was worse. Try a hot mess x10 and luckily, my manager, a trust fund baby was always too hung over to come to work. So, until they work out their kinks, please be patient with the staff at TS Café. The kind owner was super apologetic about the missteps. TS Café sells milk teas, fruit teas, tea creama, smoothies, sandwiches, sliders, toast, egg puffs, and snacks (popcorn chicken, fries, potstickers, crab rangoon, okonomiyaki). Even though it was on the menu, they didn't have regular oolong tea so I ordered the #21 White Peach Oolong Tea w/ creama ($4.75) and my friend ordered the #29 TS Classic Fruit Tea ($3.95): https://bit.ly/2Gh06St, both 50% sweet. I wanted to try their popcorn chicken too but didn't have enough cash so next time! I'm usually not into fruity teas but the White Peach Oolong was nicely fruity and floral (not too sweet). The crema was excellent - perfectly creamy and silky, and I appreciated that the drink was served with a large sippy hole so the tea filters through the crema before it hits your mouth. You can't fully enjoy a creama topped drink with a straw. If Hi-Chew had a peaches and cream flavor, this would be it but in liquid form. The Classic Fruit Tea was made with a syrup and then fresh fruit garnishes were added. It tasted like fruit punch; not something I would order for myself. The café was quite spacious and I felt like there was too much empty space and lacked warmth. Adding a couch or two, and background music can help liven it up. Parking is very, very rough so it's more of a neighborhood joint. If you live in The Excelsior and/or are looking for an alternative to nearby Mr. T Café, give TS Cafe a try! read more

Finally a decent looking boba joint close to home, and it even has snacks! I was surprised at how big this place is, it seats about 20 people or so. Their menu is pretty extensive from milk tea, cream topped teas, fruit teas, smoothies, toast, sandwiches, to fried snacks. Ordered the Assam black tea topped with cream, citron aloe tea, basil popcorn chicken, and okonomiyaki (excuse the poor photos, ended up eating in the car ). Drinks - you can only reduce sweetness to 50% or 0%. Both drinks were 50% sweet and it was almost perfect, just a tad bit sweeter than my liking. The black tea was strong and the cream was more sweet than salty. Pretty good! Only weird thing was that it came with a normal lid so I couldn't sip it like I normally do with cream topped drinks, so I ended up just drinking with a straw. They also recommend the honey milk tea and white peach oolong tea with cream, will try those out next time. Food - it took a while to get our food, but that was because everything was made fresh. Get the popcorn chicken - great salt and pepper flavor and the basil is crunchy too! Perfect ratio of meat and batter. Highly recommend. The okonomiyaki was slightly too doughy for my taste, but it was well made and the flavor was good. Would be great if the made it with less flour. I tried TS Cafe one day when I was looking for something different to eat. They had a wide variety of food to eat. I ordered their house made dumplings and basil chicken. The dumplings were delicious and tasted so fresh. The food came in a timely namer and it was still hot. The service was great and fast. The place is average size and warm. Very good popcorn chicken and mozz sticks! The space is quite big but has a cozy feel with the board/card games and tables off to the side. They offer boba and snacks but today we only tried the snacks. We got the popcorn chicken which was perfectly seasoned and crispy, dark meat with fried basil! The mozz sticks were exactly what you'd expect with a good cheese pull. It was 6 for $4.59 which is a hard price to beat! I'd definitely revisit to try their drinks. Keep it up!:) read more

This boba spot is pretty worth for the price (around or less than $5 for a drink) and considering that this is SF. I first found this place via Doordash and have ordered from here a couple times. I went in for the first time to compare in-person vs from Doordash. This boba spot reminds me of boba from 10 years ago; the drinks aren't too inventive/crazy and has a more simple feel to it. I have mainly ordered milk teas (classic milk tea, brown sugar milk tea, and roasted oolong milk tea), and they have all been pretty solid. You can taste the strawberry purée in the strawberry black tea. The honeydew milk tea has a bright green color though, so not sure how artificial that drink is. The boba is more soft and chewy, so if you are into softer boba, this spot can be more your style. The popcorn chicken is really good; I wish they gave more chicken though. The staff is pretty nice, but there wasn't much interaction since ordering boba doesn't require much interaction with the staff. I was craving popcorn chicken and happened to be in the area. I came on a Thursday around 6PM and there were a few people hanging out, but there was no line. I ordered the chicken and waited about 10 minutes. The chicken was definitely fresh and hot. It totally hit the spot. While I wasn't really a fan of their boba drinks, the popcorn chicken is really good. The portion is also really big for about $7. I've been here like a million times but I've been so lazy to write reviews. BUT HERE I AM! The TS Fruit tea never lets me down. Tasty drink with fresh fruits and tea. I've had plenty of the snacks as well. I feel that the Okonomiyaki has too much batter. The owner makes it when the order is placed, which takes about 15-20 mins, so it's fresh! The popcorn chicken is a must pick each time. Fried and seasoned very well and is delicious. The eggettes are good, not too sweet from the ones I've tried. The owner is open to feedback. She's also let me sample a few new things that she's planning on adding to the menu. All I can say is, new things are coming and they're good! This place is a solid hang out spot. This is one of my local neighborhood Boba shops. Down the street there is Mr. T Cafe. I find that this place has more options for food and a different variety of drinks such as fizzy drinks and actual fruit in drinks. I usually stick with the Kumquat Lemon Tea as its a pretty solid option. There is actual kumquat fruit and pickled sour plum in the drink. Its visually pleasing but the taste is good too. Its a balance of sweet and sour and also refreshing. I've tried other items too such as the strawberry milk but it wasn't very good. It was mostly milk with some swirls of strawberry jam. And once I mixed it it become very diluted. The okonamiyaki is also very good along with the popcorn chicken. Overall a solid place with food and drinks. read more

I've been here at least a few times each week since discovering it. :) Popcorn chicken ($4.5) is legit--think SoCal--and comes with crispy basil.
