Got the popcorn chicken and also a watermelon delight for the hot day. The chicken was quickly quality so it was just okay. The watermelon delight was a watermelon slush with aloe and pudding. The flavor of watermelon was good but the pudding didn't seem like it belonged in the slush. Here's the issue with my order - I found pieces of plastic and wood in the chicken and the drink. I don't know what they're doing back there but this is a big thumbs down. If there were no issues with my order, I would've given them a 2 or 3 star, but because of what's happened, I'm not coming back here again. read more

This is my to go shop for fried mini octopus! NOT ANYMORE cuz damn high school kids and nuisances ass kids complained about the price and how little they were getting. Which is NOT true at all! I have been a loyal costumer since they have open (more like since they changed names from Quickly) And when I ordered my fried octopus, they still gave me a lot and I was soooo happy! Their drink prices are still the lowest on the stripe and size is prefect, and taste is good. It's always really sweet to me even when I ask for less sweet. But that's my problem because I have sensitive teeth. Very similar to other boba shops like quickly and such, Panda Boba both share the same items. My Coffee-milk-tea with coffee jelly was just as I like it, stiff and refreshing. They are located on a busy street, but it is always a parking spot in walking distance. They also make the popcorn chicken which I love so much exactly as the other shops. It's always hot, crispy fresh to order. However, they are near a middle school and this seems to be the kids hang out spot. It can be a little annoying because the school kids are loud and rambunctious sometimes , and no one tells them to act accordingly; so most people order to go. You can't really enjoy a seat at their cute little bar, unless maybe during school hours when the kids aren't present and lingering around. Any who, Panda Boba is still a very good spot to enjoy a refreshing drink, just maneuver around the kids. read more

I haven't had the boba, but my friend and bf both ordered the regular milk tea and they liked their drinks as well. This place used to be Quicklys and the menu is very similar, but the taste at Panda Boba is much better in my opinion! I have also tried their curly fries and fried fish balls. The curly fries were really good and crispy - must add their white salt n pepper powder! Meant to go to Tea Plus, but couldn't find parking, kept driving down San Bruno Ave, and actually ended up closer to here. Looked pretty similar, so gave it a shot. Had the lavender milk tea. It tasted like lavender flavoring was added to regular milk tea, as the first taste was extremely strong at first and just tasted like regular milk tea later. On the plus side, there was a generous portion of boba. While half of the pearls were good, the other half tasted like it had been sitting for too long. Tough and too chewy. Okay at best. If you're familiar with Quickly's, the quality is pretty much on par if not a dead on duplicate. That being said, it's kinda just a meh boba shop, as it kinda sits on the middle ground for me. Popcorn Chicken ($6)- Decent popcorn chicken. I enjoyed it, and would get this again. But again, not super revolutionary though it was fine. Watermelon Aloe Delight ($4.75)- Really refreshing. There are enough aloe chunks in the bottom to balance out the watermelon, and they pair nicely with each other. Mango Coconut Delight ($4.75)- Also very good. As a sucker for anything with coconut milk in it, I was pleased with my drink, though I will note the mango was a tad more bitter than I would think a mango would be? Taro Milk Tea ($3.75) Very average, run of the mill, kinda bland, basic, alright milk tea. Boba was a tad too chewy/gummy for my liking, and while it was fine it wasn't really extraordinary or amazing in particular. Definitely not one of my favorite taro milk teas I've ever had, and not even close to my favorite milk teas. Service here is really sweet, the people working behind the counter are polite and serve the drinks relatively quickly. Overall, I mean the Panda Boba was fine, but it wasn't spectacular or blowing me away, it was just meh. I'd rank Panda Boba at a high 2, low 3. Was it terrible? no. First glance: this looks like a Quicklys. My boyfriend and I came here after visiting this bakery that was along the same street. Now, I could've said no to boba and kept walking but because I have to keep filling my veins with milk tea, I had to come here and grab something to drink. It was for the good of my body. I swear. Panda Boba is a small little shop. There's one table to sit at with maybe 3 chairs and that's it. Not really much of a place for you and your friends to chill at. And parking is a pain because it's all on the streets and metered till 6pm. And coins do not go far in San Francisco so be sure to bring a bunch. Their menu is pretty extensive, much like Quickly's and they have snacks, too. They had pictures up on the wall of some of their foods and drinks, but we already got some bread from the bakery so we didn't order anything to eat. I ended up being basic and got their hot milk tea with boba to try. $3 flat and I was out the door. My first sip should've burned but it didn't. My drink was lukewarm at best which was surprising and the boba was really soft but that might've been because of the warmth of my drink. I usually get a hot milk tea from Quicklys and it would be really good, but the hot milk tea here wasn't that amazing. It was actually sort of bland so I wasn't in a hurry to finish it. Best fried food I have had for a while! Ordered their fried squid and lobster balls- and they definitely exceeded my expectations! I had their honey green tea as well, but it is nothing to write home about. All fried items are fried fresh upon order. I am the popcorn chicken bitch. It's my thing. And out of all the places that sell popcorn chicken, Panda Boba is currently the reigning champion of the best popcorn chicken. I was alarmed because the popcorn chicken was around $5.75, a hint pricier than other spots. But girl let me tell you that extra $.75 is so worth it... They make the popcorn chicken fresh and on the spot, and hearing that oil frying sound gives me the tingles. The popcorn chicken comes really hot though. Like, almost burns your hands hot. I would like them to at least have an insulated bag so they don't get sued which might mean no popcorn chicken for me. Oh my god it's so good. The pieces are large and shatteringly crunchy. You could argue that there's too much batter but that sounds like a "you" problem and not a me problem. They also fry the popcorn chicken with some hot red peppers, which gives them a nice spicy kick. Everything about Panda Boba's popcorn chicken can end wars. Not one of the most heralded boba places in SF, Panda Boba is still a cozy spot off of San Bruno. It lacks decoration and seating, but it's a really good spot to pop in and grab a cup of boba for the road. Their service is reaaaaaally quick (mostly because there usually isn't a line), but that doesn't dampen the quality of the tea. It's flavorful, but not out of your mind sweet like some places are in Chinatown. I usually get the milk tea or the thai tea, skip on the boba, and leave quite satisfied! One knock on them is that their pricing is slightly confusing. They have different prices posted on the board from what they charge.
