But knocking off a star as sometimes ingredients are missing, dish can get very oily, and been noticing that the sizes of some ingredients are cut very big and not cooked/seasoned. Mediocre food, full of artificial colorings. I ordered a green curry, which apparently they made green by overdosing on the artificial coloring. God knows what's in the coloring or if it's even food safe. Even the chicken became green from the added green coloring. I was really looking forward to picking up dinner but was disappointed in my shrimp Panang curry. The curry sauce was thin and had very little taste. I went to another Thai restaurant about 10 mins walk away, they gave me 7 pieces of tofu for a lunch special meal - very disappointed. But T's Thai is my favourite now. I live very close and I was afraid to order from here because of the low star reviews, but I'm glad I tried it out! I've ordered delivery 3 times now, it's been faster and more affordable than other Thai restaurants and the flavors have been traditional and yummy. Would I go here if I were a tourist? The food was great! Very fast. The wait staff was so friendly; unlike other restaurants, they didn't actually forget about you throughout the meal, and they checked up on you throughout it. I ordered the pad thai with chicken, and it was really good. The portion size was huge; it was definitely shareable between my boyfriend and me. It was also super saucy (not complaining!) My boyfriend ordered the tom yum with shrimp, and that was REALLY good. I don't actually like too sour things, but this was delicious! His soup was also pretty large and shareable, but it wasn't as big as the pad thai. The shrimp they gave wasn't the tiny shrimps, but they were actually big, and they gave him a lot as well! The prices were fair, but the thing that I didn't quite understand was that none of the entrees actually come with rice; you have to order a separate bowl (~$2). I went into the restaurant thinking of getting curry, but when I realized that didn't come with rice, I backtracked to get the noodles instead. I think the total for two was about $30, so $15 split (the pad thai was cheaper, so that meal costed about $13). The food was okay, i have had better. The service was worse, when my 15 year-old nephew asked to use the bathroom, the lady at the front told us that there was none and we had to walk to TJ Maxx. Then a few minutes later, while we were eating, a man came in and asked to use the bathroom and without ordering the same lady who told us 'NO' gave him the bathroom key. I did not like that. Ts Thai is about 5 mins walk from my work place so I come here literally once a week. And usually bump into co-workers too. This is literally the only reliable Asian place around this area, walkable distance I mean. Thank goodness for them. I usually get their Spicy Thai Noodles (simple fried flat noodles with your chosen protein) or fried glass noodles, which are my favorite. Their cashew nut, green curry, spicy basil leaves under their lunch specials are pretty good too. Only thing is if you get take out, they won't give you soup. Only house salad and steamed rice. I love their spicy fried rice too. If you ask them nicely, they'll also include cut chilies soaked in fish sauce. Delicious!! I won't recommend their pad thai though, which has a weird ketchup taste to it. But that was way back in 2016 when I first tried it and never ordered it again. They might have change. My favorite part about this place is their service. The wait staff here are always smiley and cheerful. You can also call them in advance to order and just pick it up after 10 to 15 mins. We got our usual go to dishes that we get at Thai places but what stood out about this specific spot is that their menu is very different from the rest. Probably not the most authentic, but I managed to discover a pretty awesome crab fried rice here. After going through the ebbs and flows of eating at several overhyped restaurants, I've finally came across the unexpected that rise to the occasion. My favorite Thai restaurant on the Westside, Siam Chan, happens to be closed until the end of the month, so I decided to finally give this place a chance after seeing it in passing so many times. Located within proximity to the Promenade, this small restaurant has been poorly reviewed on Yelp and can get pretty busy during lunch hours with the evenings geared towards take outs and local deliveries. Similar to Emporium, their menu has several generic pan-Asian dishes and does not operate at the depth of Jitlada or Lers Ros Thai, but I walked in open minded and wasn't expecting much except for a quick spicy fling with a taste of prik nam pla. My small pot of Steam Mussel ($13.95) came with a decent amount of Australian green mussels steeped in a tangy broth with a mild basil flavor in the background. The broth had lots of tang but lackluster without red peppers and lemongrass to help bring the penetrating flavors alive. The taste was overall decent but not great. My dinner was accompanied by a plate of Crab Fried Rice ($9.95), which bursts with a truck load of fresh crabs in large and small chunks fully integrated with lots scrambled eggs, split peas, carrots, and sharp-flavored onions. The rice was nicely stirred fried to dry, and the most impressive was the amount of crabs and eggs that nicely overlapped. My dinner also came with a side of spicy bold prik nam pla that coupled with a lemon herbs dip for the mussels which I didn't care for. Service was personable and friendly. The server and I had a nice conversation about Thai cuisine, and the level of attentiveness was sufficient and unobtrusive. It wasn't the most glamorous meal but the food certainly hit the spot. Prices were steep but the fried rice was well worth it. I'd be interested in returning to try their BBQ Chicken and Spicy Shrimp Fried Rice the next time I'm in the area. 3.5 stars for the overall experience. read more

My shu in Thai place is Little Siam in Van Nuys but I am always looking for a good Thai place that is a little closer to curb my Thai fix until I can brave the drive of the 405 to make it to my Thai sanction. So after cupcakes from Vanilla, fellow yelper Jessica A and I (and her little cuz) were strolling down the streets of SM looking for a quick meal. So we turned down 4th and there we ran in to T's Thai. Table for 3, seated and menus brought out. Jess with her keen eye (maybe its bc of her cute new specs) noticed that we were still in time for their Lunch Specials. They had about 12 items to choose from and all were served with a mini soup, salad and with rice and noodles. Jess and her cuz each ordered a LS but I'll let Jess tell you about them in her review (keep a look out!). I was still super full from my bfast at Huckleberry so I ordered some Fried Chicken Wontons and a Thai Iced Tea. Both were good. My fav part with fried wontons is the fried wonton itself so what I liked about the ones I orders today at T's was that the wonton part was plenty. Most fried wontons are small and about the size of a Tortellini that you would get from an Italian restaurant. So T's hit my spot with the abundance of crispy fried wonton goodness. Made a quick stop here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Back of the menu showed an everyday lunch special with soup, salad, and main course for $8.95. Couldn't go wrong. Got the Panang curry with fried tofu and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back to experiment with the rest of the menu. It's a small, cordial place. I'm pretty picky about my Thai food and T's doesn't hit the spot for me! I was in the area and found T's Thai on my Yelp! app on the iPhone. We initially got lured in the cheap lunch specials billboard, so why not? We ended up ordering entrees instead. Went with the teriyaki chicken (gotta get protein bro!), green curry, and the pineapple fried rice. Big time dissappointed! The portions were so tiny considering that they cost $8-$10 each. The green curry was extremely watery and barely had anything in it. The only highlight of the meal was the fried rice which came with huge prawns and chunks of chicken. On top of that, the service was extremely poor. I had to ask for water twice (with the second time going up to the counter), and the girl never approached the table except for the time when I was ordering and when to drop off the check. She seemed more interested in her own lunch then helping out guests. Again, definitley not worth it. Plenty of other places to eat in this area. Don't get fooled by the lunch specials like I did! My friend stephanie and i love going to this place for our fill of thai food after a nice hike on saturday mornings. the ambience is a cute little cafe and at night it is an awesome place to go cause of the beautiful lit trees on 3rd street promenade. the service is good, as is with most of the thai restaurants ive been too. thai people seem to be extremely polite and attentive, which is awesome. the coffee milk tea was DELICIOUS and hit the spot on a hot saturday afternoon. i got the yellow curry lunch special, which was a bit on the small side but with the soup and salad it filled me up. my friend got the pad see ew which i liked even better. either way, you couldn't really go wrong. all of our lunch specials were $7.95 for all that food! its definitely a great place to go for a quick bite before or after shopping. ive never been here where there was a line either, despite being such a small place. i guess people haven't discovered it yet? i guess their loss is our gain. this is going to be my friend and i's go-to thai place until it gets packed!! read more

Came to T's Thai for lunch after a hike on a Sunday. The location is really good, just across the street from a parking lot where first 90 minutes are free. There are, however, no restrooms on the premises -- I had to take a key and walk a few dozen yards to freshen up. I got the pineapple curry chicken with vegetable fried rice and a Thai Iced Tea. The pineapples in the curry seemed a little off. Like they were taken out of a can and left out for too long. I (as well as a friend) found the tea too sweet.
