Being from New Jersey, I just took it for granted that great pizza was available on pretty much every corner. When I moved to Florida back in 2001 (hard to believe that it has been over twenty years since I moved from the Garden State), I was both shocked and more than a bit dismayed that great pizza (or even good pizza) was not readily available on every corner. In fact, here in Florida, I found that some towns didn't even have decent pizza in the town limits. So, finding good pizza was indeed a reason for celebration and what better way to celebrate than with a slice of wonderful pizza in hand? Tuccis stands out in the area for their quality. Everything is fresh - the dough, the sauce, and the cheese.The dough has a bit of char on the crust but the pizza as a whole is not charred. We order extra sauce on the pizza and on the side and there is no extra charge for either. The large is a decent size and fairly priced, especially for the quality you get. We have never eaten in, only used the takeout. When you try to order online, sometimes it does not accept orders and you need to call. Also when you order online the wait is about an hour on a Saturday at 5pm but when you call it's 20 min. So calling is definitely the way to go. they stop taking orders at 2:45pm on Saturday and start back up at 5pm but when I called to order at 2:35pm, no one answered the phone. Great pizza, but quality tends to go down fast during rush hours / weekend nights. Staff is still very friendly and efficient when all tables are occupied by hungry people of all ages. However, on the kitchen side... when you see that the huge pieces of onion are thrown on your pizza after it was removed from the oven..., or when you need to ask again for the extra topping (mushrooms in our case) and that one comes almost raw, 10 minutes after pizza was rested on your table.... that means something is not right "around the oven". Crust is still excellent, golden brown, perfectly salted (not too much, not too little). However, based on how the toppings are presented, it feels as all your pizza was done in a rush without care. Next time I'll order a cheese-only. I am criticizing this as a returning customer who loves this place (just as a parent criticizes his/her child). Really great pizza but a little overpriced. We got the vegano pizza (Roasted Yellow Tomatoes / Mushrooms / Spinach / Tomato Sauce / Basil). We didn't realize that it also meant no cheese until it came to the table but that was a mistake on our end, we should have known from the name... That being said, it tasted AWESOME. Each of the toppings were flavorful on its own. You can tell the tomatoes were slow roasted for a really rich flavor. The sauce was a little sweet but still had a good tomato-y flavor. The crust is also perfectly chewy and flavorful as well. We got the large for $25.95 for a group of four. We weren't too hungry so that was perfect but you'd probably need to order another if you are really hungry. They also have a decent amount of wine options and we got a bottle of montepulciano to split that we were really happy with. I thought Tucci's was quite average and forgettable but before delving into the unpleasant negatives I will focus on the positives. Parking is easy and free. The service was fine. Prices are very reasonable. Perhaps because we went early, we had no problem getting quickly seated. We did not only try pizza but went through a cross-section of their menu and this included some hits and some misses; Meatballs were good and at $13.95 for an appetizer they were also a bargain. Pasta seemed like a bargain at $13.95 however it was reminiscent of a bad buffet item and lacked taste with a watery sauce that had no flavor. The inexpensive "Bliss Chicken" which is their Chicken Parm was okay and was roasted instead of fried. Of course the pizza is the star here and the reason Tucci's is popular but I was disappointed. Perhaps because the friends I went with are from The Bronx (like me) and Manhattan and Brooklyn - we just didn't think the pizza was special. Though the crust had a nice char it wasn't to our liking and the sauce was just okay. Not terrible but not memorable either. I love Tuccis. The Chump is probably one of the best fancy pizzas I have had in Florida. The Tony G is similar to the Chump but has a great sweetness coming from the onions. The pesto pizza has a pretty good kick to it I would say skip that one as the other two are so good and it's clashing flavors If you order this specific 3 pie order. The wings are also tasty (not pictured my husband crushed these too fast). The dunking sauce for the chump is full of flavor I love it. Hard to get a pie as this place is popular but I tend to call ahead for a certain pick up time and that tends to work :)! read more

The phone was nonstop with pick up orders and I heard our waiter recall regular customers' previous orders and beer preferences. On the menu you'll find pizza and appetizers unmatched in the area, as well as a great drink menu of wine, craft beers, and craft sodas. The Meatballs are not just good, they may be the best I've ever had, with a perfect blend of meat and garlic. Served in a rich tomato sauce with a house-made ricotta blend. I could wish for some Italian bread to soak up every last drop of sauce, but even without the bread this dish is outstanding. The Pizza - We ordered the Duval - Pepperoni, Spinach, Red Onions, Mozzarella, and Tomato Sauce. The crust is absolutely magnificent with the perfect chew, not tough or gummy, just perfectly crisp with a soft centered outer edge and the right amount of wood fired char. Rated by David Portnoy as an 8.1 on his review and that was on a basic cheese pizza! This place is a must go. We still consider this to be a hidden gem of Boca even with this stellar review. The food is fresh and the pizza is thin and crispy just to our liking. We ordered a large Chomp and large Tong G. The Chomp comes with the sauce on the side which makes the pizza super crispy. The sauce is very zesty but not overly spicy. Tony G is a similar pizza but with a lovely sweetness coming from the cooked onions on top. We highly recommend this combination. The pizza isn't cheap but the ingredients and freshness make it worth every dollar. This is definitely my favorite pizza place in Boca, at least so far. The food was excellent and so was the service! We went with our friends and we ended up trying a bunch of things! We started with the Italian salad which was delicious! The balsamic vinaigrette was really good and I loved all of the toppings on the salad. We also got the glazed bbq wings which were delicious, hot, fresh, and crispy. Then we ordered a couple pizzas which were delicious. I ate the cheese pizza, and I kept having to go back for more slices. I recommend going here if you like pizza and great food in general! I am originally from NY so pizza down here doesn't always do it for me but this place was pretty decent. On a scale from 1-10 I'd give it a 7.1. We ended up getting a regular cheese pizza to see how good they can make the classic and it wasn't too shabby. It is a thinner pizza but the crust is great and the cheese was tasty. My boyfriend loved the sauce so it's funny that, the sauce was the part I wasn't in love with. Overall good experience, clean place, nice staff and good pizza. read more
