Had a great experience with tucci's pizza! I placed an order for pickup and it was ready on time. Servers were very nice and let me sit at a table to wait. It seemed very clean in the restaurant and I believe everyone on staff was wearing a mask. We ordered the regular cheese pizza and the spicy bbq wings. The food was absolutely delicious. The pizza was really nicely cooked. I loved the crust and the char. I wish there was more sauce and cheese but I suppose that is the style. It was delicious never the less. I updated the review was unintentionally misleading. The amount I stated was for the entire bill. And to be clear, I'd would go back there. The entire bill was 40.00 not the pizza by itself. The pizza was a 16" totaling approximately 24.00 I heard about this place from a few different sources, so I decided to try it out. My first impression of this place was a tiny establishment, kind of yuppie with a twist of old fashion. The menu is pretty simple with a small number of appetizers, a few pasta dishes, and numerous pizza combinations. We decided to order a half-and-half, pizza one side had pepperoni, the other half had bacon, onions, and ricotta. We had a appetizer garlic loaf, which is a flatbread smothered in garlic and Parmesan cheese. The garlic loaf was crusty and loaded with flavor, It was actually delightful but nothing I would recommend if you're out on a first date. The pizza finally made it to the table about 40 minutes later; it was extremely inviting, the crust looks perfect, the cheese was oozing, and my mouth was watering. As I grabbed my first slice, I noticed that the cheese was pulling, leaving a beautiful trail of deliciousness behind. When I took a bite out of the first slice, the pepperoni and sauce exploded in my mouth in combination with the crunchy crust. Unfortunately, that's where it ended. Every slice after that became soggy, and the pizza cooled off considerably, and the center drooped. The service wasn't that great, and the restaurant was 1/3 full inside and 3/4 full outside. They had a wide selection of craft beer, which is excellent for those that enjoy it. Overall it was decent, worth going back to but not traveling 10 miles to get there. The price of 40.00 for a pizza with three toppings is outrageous, but it's Boca. There are many better pizza places around, but this one is not one to pass up if in the area. I normally don't waste my time writing reviews for restaurants which serve poor quality food, but the pizza from Tucci's new location on Yamato Road was so bad that the people should be forewarned. Although I'm not a big fan of their old location off of Mizner Boulevard where their wood fired pizza was more often than not decent quality, the eggplant/spinach/ cheese pie my wife purchased yesterday was almost inedible. Considering it cost $27 (overpriced), not only was its presentation lacking (it looked aweful), the crust was overcooked, the cheese scarse and the sauce was tasteless! I'm seriously disappointed that they would risk ruining their reputation serving this pie! Hopefully this was an anomaly and they normally serve better quality pizza, but if not they certainly need to get the message that something is going very wrong. We've eaten wood fired pizza all over the U.S. and overseas,, and this was probably one of the worst we've ever had. The moral of this story is if it doesn't look good, don't eat it! read more

I used to love tuccis when they were located in mizner. When we heard about the new location on Yamato, we were excited to check it out. We went on a Saturday night around 6:15. We checked in with the hostess and she told us 20 minutes. After about 40 minutes, we checked back with the hostess, and she said we were the next open table. Meanwhile, Other patrons were yelling at the hostess demanding a table. My fiancé and I remained calm because clearly it was a busy night, we knew it wasn't worth yelling about. What the final straw for us was, after an hour we finally got a text that our table was ready. I locked eyes with the hostess and she went to clear the table. A bald man (who might be the owner or manger) helped her clean the table off but then he rushed off to get another party who was previously yelling about waiting for a table. When I showed the hostess my text, she said "sorry that was an error." When it was clear as day what happened. It was just wildly unprofessional and out right rude. I have left 5 star reviews before and bring all my family and friends out of town. I don't know if we will be back if there isn't some rectification. read more

"One bite; everybody knows the rules." As a native Boca Ratonian, I had never heard of Tucci's, but I came after El Pres (Barstool) gave it an unheard-of 8.1 on his pizza review. I opted for the small size (they only have small and large) because the small is more like a medium and the large is more like an extra large. We got the half cheese/half Tony G's (meatball, caramelized onion, and ricotta), and they price it so it's half of the full pizza's cost. $19 (with tax) isn't a cheap price for a small pizza, but it fed 5 of us for lunch (we cut each piece in half). Tony G's was excellent, and all of us agreed. The cheese was very good, but I think there are better cheese pizzas in Boca. The crust is very crispy because it's coal-fire (vs. oven or wood-fire is soft dough), and it's a VERY light pizza. I was shocked at how little the box weighed! Inside, they were great about wiping down the credit card machine/cash register in between each visit, and the guy making the pizza wore a mask. The pizza was not greasy, and it has a distinct taste- almost like a subtle black olive flavor on the cheese. It was very good, and we will be back. read more

Tucci's is a solid one location joint that consistently delivers delicious food. Despite the restaurant's wide array of pizza combinations, my favorite thing to order is the pepperoni pizza. Against the far wall when you walk in is a wood fired grill. The crust of their pizzas is strategically charred to give their pies more flavor. My fiancé enjoyed a tomato mozzarella salad and the oven-grilled wings with caramelized onions. He complimented the salad on its freshness and taste. I had a wing, too, and the flavor is unbeatable. The Italian dressing is nice and tangy. Their pizzas are very good. The crust is thin, which is the way I like it. Good tomato sauce and good cheese makes a delicious pizza. The restaurant is small and plain inside. You can watch your pizza cooking while you wait. If you prefer eating outside there are tables and chairs in front of the restaurant. Preface: I am a NY pizza snob, better yet, an italian pizza snob. If you are into deep dish - this is like a Cubs fan at a Yankee stadium - this review just won't feel right. Now that we got that out of the way, let me tell you why this place is 10 stars. After shortly moving to Boca during hurricane season and getting hazed by mother nature, I have yearned for the comfort food that always does the trick. After making an executive decision last week that on Saturday I would walk to Tuccis and make this my cheat meal of the week (this in itself, is high praise), we realized that the early 12-3 shift is just takeout. Nervous, we ordered an Avenue 1 pizza, waited 20 minutes, and then ported the box two blocks with the lid half open so as to not allow the condensation to mess with the integrity of the crisp oven-baked bread. My partner, being from Kathmandu joked, that we were carrying a cherished goddess in a chariot across a festival of urban obstacles to safety. We made it to the apartment and it was still in full form. The sauce - magnificent The bread - texture and taste of perfection The ingredients - fresh and perfectly cut so they melt into the pizza and then your mouth This is comparable to one of my favorite NY pizzas in Brooklyn - Robbertas. The true test of a pizza place is its margarita. We can't wait to be back. Cutsie date hack - takeout your fav pizza on a Saturday between 12-3, walk it to Mizner which is two blocks away and eat at a gazebo overlooking a fountain. On my last visit I couldn't decide between two of their specialties so they did a 1/2 and 1/2 for me of the 1st Avenue and Tony G. The crust is the key, crunchy but chewy. The wide selection of beers is really impressive and really makes this place special, pizza and beer so nice. It wasn't very crowded when I went for lunch on a Thursday but gets busier at night, Sanborn Square park is right across the street in case I need to enter the kids while they are getting the table ready. So I got to tell you but it's been a while since I've had coal-fire Pizza and now I know why. First off the menu is very limited they don't even have hot water ... if it can't be made in the brick oven they don't have it. We started off with the eggplant rollatini which was a little on the spicy side and half of it was cold. My husband's half of the large pie was John G with not much flavor, He leaned towards eating my half which was pepperoni mushrooms and ricotta.
