This is the only Seafood market in Zachary and they always have fresh catfish, oysters and shrimp the peeled shrimp and shrimp with the heads still on but that's about it as far as fresh goes they do have some frozen seafood also but I never buy any frozen seafood. The Prices are about the same as any of the smaller seafood shops. They have good boiled crawfish when in season and they also have corn & potatoes. They sell plate lunches, fountain and bottle dboudin and homemade cracklins. I bought $5 worth today and they're fantastic. If you like boudin it's pretty good here. This place keeps it clean especially during this corona 19 virus. They had a hand washing station outside to clean your hands before you came in and also limited the amount of who could come in and that was nice. Today they've even made it safer for the customer. Now you enter through the back street where they've sat up a drive thru pick up your order. Just call their number and place your order for fresh seafood and cooked seafood and then you just pull up, pay and go. So today I bought some hot boiled crawfish for lunch and some fresh shrimp I'm gonna fry for dinner! read more

You know being a Louisiana native crawfish is life. Good crawfish that is. I have visited this establishment several times as a last minute option when the place I usually purchase crawfish from isn't open due to their weekly Covid-19 sanitation cleaning. It's pretty busy because it's not many crawfish vendors in the Zachary area other than the horrible gritty crawfish seller Parrish (see my review) and Cajun Catch who I won't bother reviewing. Tucker's nothing to write home about or boast about. To describe their crawfish taste just think saltines. Nothing else stands out about this place. Several times I have purchased crawfish and found the meat firm, dry and inedible. This only happens when the crawfish is leftover from the previous day and reboiled. That's just nasty.... Other times the crawfish is tasteless because they didn't let it soak long enough. May 27, 2020 visit was one of those days my usual spot was closed and I needed my crawdad fixed and settled for Truckers. Again, dissatisfied with the flavor and I realized they Stole from me. I purchased 2 lbs but when I got home I heard that wise voice in my head that I foolishly ignore sometimes to check the weight. Listening to the voice of God I checked the weight low and behold it wasn't 2lbs. I suspected this was happening for sometime but as I said I was not listening to the voice in my head. Do the math: paid for 2lbs got 1.10lbs, weighed the bags it was weighed in came out to 6.53 ounces. Pretty much the scale is rigged! Check the pics out they confirm what the voice in my head had been telling me all along. Truckers if you read this and I hope you do please understand people are paying for crawfish by the pound not the paper products you place it in. This mean you have been cheating your customers for years. So how will you fix your thievery and most importantly how will you compensate those who you have stolen frooom! How would I rate your crawfish ? 1 out of 10. Salty and bad for blood pressure. How would I rate your service? -10 for thievery. What is the crawfish industry coming too. When I think of Tucker's Seafood, I think of a seafood market that you purchase the raw seafood, then bring it back home, and cook your supper. Really good raw seafood for cooking. Tonight I was in the mood for a shrimp gumbo. We went to Tucker's Seafood market and purchased two pounds of large shrimp with the heads still on. Then we went home, peeled the shrimp while the roux was cooking. After the gumbo had cooked for a good while, I added the shrimp and let cook. Made rice while cooking and had a very good supper. At Thanksgiving time or Christmas time, I purchase Fried Turkey to supplement my family traditional meals. Tucker's Seafood is a great seafood market. read more

The makings of a good establishment is in how it does business. On September 27th I went to Tuckers and purchased two pounds of boiled shrimp. Today, two days later, I noticed that I had been overcharged...by a lot. I immediately called Tucker's and went to the store to present my receipt and was told that I would get a call back once they checked everything out with the owner. A few hours later, I got a call from Ms. Tammy admitting the mistake and was asked to come back to the store to receive a refund. My Concern was handled swiftly and professionally. All establishments, good or bad, make mistakes. What separates the good from the bad is how they make it right with the customer. What a waste of money- Waitr delivered it just fine, but Tucker's had it all wrong. Ordered 2 of the Seafood platters- Sweep the Swamp and Off The Chain Combo. What little food they did send was 2 overcooked, inedible oysters, 2 fried shrimp, with no onion rings, no potato salad, or stuffed crab - undercooked, soggy fries and super-stale bread! Won't go back and will spread the word how badly this place sucks now. Yes, I could call management and give them the chance to correct their mistake, but I'd rather eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and write a bad review. read more

I don't even know where to start with this one. The employees are so very rude. The bathroom has no soap in it and you have to reach into the toilet to flush it. I've seen three employees go in the bathroom, I know they didn't wash their hands. Ordered 20lbs of crawfish that were so over cooked you couldn't even eat them, they were complete mush. I have rarely had experiences like this but this was just awful. Ordered the Seafood platter with everything and it all was just disappointing. Every piece of seafood had a burnt aftertaste. Catfish was bland. The stuffed shrimp and stuffed crab were also bland and clearly over cooked. Fries were not seasoned well. Same with onion rings. A seafood restaurant should not struggle to make good seafood. There are much better options in Zachary to get seafood. I wish I had something positive to say but it was honestly a huge disappointment. read more

Horrible seafood. Everything was so over cooked to the point of not edible. I called the restaurant just to be told I didn't order from them when I have the food and receipt in ny hand. Shrimp were so over cooked and tough. Oysters were crunchy they were so over fried. The crab patty was literally black. I live on the coast in Texas and am working out n the area for a few weeks. I ordered 1.5 dozen boiled crabs and 13 (out of 18) did not have claws on them. Not one claw on 13 of the crabs. I called and was told they've been "popping off" while they boil. Not sure where they go after they pop off, but they certainly didn't go in the bag. Big disappointment when we sat down to eat them. read more

Tuckers seafood has a wonderful deli, and the prices are great. Inside of the market has many gifts and food products. The freezers are always stocked with seafood. Fresh seafood always in the display case. The best boiled seafood in town. Clinton location as well. read more

A pound of heads-on boiled shrimp consisted of, I kid you not, 8 large shrimp and 10 extra heads! I was aghast. The young woman who scooped those up had to have known she was weighing shrimp heads, which we paid for! Maybe she thought we were going to make a stock. We were not!
