I will start by saying if the review was based upon on the installers of my shed I would give them 4 -5 stars. I was pretty happy with their work. Initially I called the Concord location and spoke with Travis. When we came into the location he was busy so another lady helped us. She was very nice and Travis took over from her the next day. When we ordered the shed we specified wanting three small windows on the right side of the shed. We had to switch to a smaller shed and needed the door placed differently than originally planned. My husband did a sketch to be clear on the orientation of the shed and door so he didn't add the windows to his sketch. Travis redid the order without the windows which we didn't notice until installation day. We went ahead with the install and I called customer service. They had Travis call me back and he said he went with the drawing from my husband and omitted the windows from the final order which we didn't notice and at that point it would be on us to have to pay to correct it which would have been costly. He suggested as a possible fix buying one of their new solar lights to install inside the shed to give us more lighting. He said he would call back in a week to give details on the light since they were just coming in and he didnt know exactly when it would be available but is should be soon. Long story short after about 3 weeks of back and forth with Travis, Nathan and the warehouse manager we were told that they only had a limited supply of those lights and we couldn't buy one because they were only offering them to their new customers. I guess after a month and they have your money we are no longer new customers worthy of having an issue fixed. Definitely won't be purchasing anything else from then or recommending them to anyone else read more

I liked what a saw and ordered a 6' x 10' shed. It was installed about four weeks later. The building of the shed only took about a couple of hours or so. My wife and I had been discussing getting a storage shed for years, but when we recently started renovations on a few parts of our house my wife decided we needed to move forward with it. With all of the work going on around me I was pretty stressed about adding another project to my world. She did initial design work on Tuff Shed's website and soon I was contacted by Quentin Burt to set up an appointment to survey our site and discuss next steps. His on-site visit was quick and I felt at ease with Quentin immediately. Our house has James Hardie siding and we wanted it to match - something Tuff Shed could easily do - they used Hardie siding - exact color match for the siding and trim. This was a big selling point for me. Arrangements were made to purchase a shed from them. Their manufacturing and install lead times were unbelievably fast (with all of the supply chain and other issues I had been dealing with I found it astonishing). On the day of install a crew arrived and in a little under a day they had an amazing Tuff Shed installed and ready for use. The crew was efficient, polite and conscientious leaving no trace that they were here (except for an awesome Tuff Shed where there wasn't one). The post install follow up was good as there were a couple of punch list items I had missed when I initially inspected the Tuff Shed. Today Richard came out and completed my punch list. He was very detailed and completed everything that remained. He's a credit to the organization! We went to Tuff Shed Concord to look over the shed styles. Travis was awesome! He listened to what we were looking for and walked us through all the various options. What is really great is that they can design your shed on the computer with you and you can try out different design options and instantly see how it all looks. Part 2: The Install After helping me with my purchase, Nathan worked with the ops team to provide guidance on installation timing. I scheduled a time in early Dec after a week of sunshine followed a week of rain. The ground was fairly muddy after the new pad was poured and Nathan encouraged me to keep the date we had selected (~ 2 weeks after purchase) but as we got closer if it looked like a rain day I could schedule with enough notice. The install team, led by Ricardo, arrived right on time and communicated with me in the AM as to their ETA. They went right to work and did a great job of centering the shed. We realized another branch had to be removed due to the roof line and they were helpful and safe when working with me to remove the branch. Ricardo was open to calling me in my office whenever he needed my input, such as where the shelves should go. I struggled with this a bit, and he made some good suggestions. As I had a workbench in front of a shed window, Ricardo cut the board around the window and asked if I'd like to have another piece on the adjoining wall (a great idea), which he then reinforced with a 2x4. The shed install went smoothly and the team was communicative and hard-working. My only complaint was that the inside of the shed should have had a tarp put down to keep the floor clean from the dirt and sawdust from the shelving. I reached out to Nathan and immediately got a call from his Ops Manager, who followed up and asked for feedback. Both he and Nathan apologized and we agreed this would be a learning opportunity for the install team to depart the site only after the customer is shown the final product, in case things need to be touched up or swept. I'm fully confident this will be rectified. In general, I was very pleased with the installation and the communication of the whole Tuff Shed team. I'm beyond thrilled with the shed and very pleased I trusted the Concord Tuff Shed team and Nathan with this experience. read more

Today I visited the Tuff Shed office in Concord, CA and worked with Nathan Montgomery on a custom configuration for a storage shed. It was very much a Burger King experience, I.e. you can get it your way. Even though it is a small building there were many configuration items that needed to be considered. Quentin was the salesperson I dealt with very professional and went over all the county codes with me for my area. I wanted to go with a bigger model but he explained that would be a permit process that I did not want to go through. That told me right there that tough shed knows there stuff. He drew up the shed plans for the model I wanted. When I asked when it would be built he told me this Weds!! So I go in on a Monday and two days later the team shows up to build it. I was very happy with the whole Tuff Shed process It started by configuring my shed with Travis in the Concord office - I picked a studio model. I customized the order and added a couple of changes like reducing the roof overhangs as we went through the design and ordered it with a metal roof to match an existing pavilion. Travis was great and patient throughout the process. When it came time to install the shed I was really impressed with how quickly they built it and more importantly the quality.
