I came in because I was smelling smoke from my vehicle but I didn't really know exactly where it was coming from but had my theory it was the tires. The lady said that the diagnostics would be 16.99 and I actually repeated it to her 16.99?, and she agreed. I said, "I think there might be something wrong with my tires." Me and the manager went outside. He looks at my vehicle and says "oh it's probably your tires, it's rubbing the rotors" or something to that effect but then he says, "let's wait on the mechanic to make sure that's what's wrong with the vehicle." As i'm walking to the door, he says "she told you the diagnostics is 16 .99 correct" and I said "yes." The mechanic gets there. The lady they have at the front desk (kind of heavyset with dark brown hair) gave me dirty looks the whole time. The mechanic lifted the car looked at my tires and said "it was my rotors etc." They never performed an actual diagnostics test where they hooked the car up to a machine and actually told me what is wrong with my car. He made no effort to do that. I got no paper or information on anything that was wrong with my car except what I stated above. I never received a full diagnostics test. The mechanic came and told me the same thing I already previously was suspecting and the manager agreed with. The time comes to pay and this dude charges me about $74.54, so confused I said I thought you guys said it was 16.99 and then he says no it's 69.99 but because of their accents, I think they use their accents to confuse people and then charge them anyway because he pronounced it correctly, then. I could've gotten what they did at AutoZone for free! I would never go to them work on my vehicle. One of the things I cannot stand is a dishonest mechanical company. They seem like they scam people on the regular. They don't honor their customers. Even if it was a matter of miscommunication, I never received a full diagnostics test to charge me that amount. He should've at least negotiated a cheaper price because of the misunderstanding but no. They took all of my money 70 something dollars to tell me the same thing I already probably suspected and just to look at my vehicle with their eyes. They honestly think that's fair and the way they should do business. Their fake personality and fake nice behavior with "certain customers" doesn't fool me. They are dishonest. They even added tax on it, lol. I guess they're taxing their vision now. Even if it is was 69.99 they added tax, so it wasn't the price they originally told me. They never said plus tax and how is it even considered a taxable item? Unfortunately, I paid them with my cash app card and cash app does not care about disputes and is a garbage company when it comes to those matters. They got my $74.54 but I bet you karma will get them. Thieves!!!

My second time here, I found that they quoted me far above market for some work that needed to be…read moredone. While service and quality of work is still there, I did feel as if they points in regard to honesty. For instance, they quoted me ~$470 for a battery swap, which is absurd when you consider that a battery costs ~$200 with free replacement at AutoZone (while they quoted me $165 for labor for a 5 minute job). Additionally, for all of the other work they quoted me for, they were $400-600 over market and in one instance ~$800 over market, which is way too much. Perhaps it's because I'm a young guy, and I often give an impression of ignorance, but regardless, even if that were the case, that should be an opportunity to teach and lead, not an opportunity to take advantage of somebody for monetary gain. After consideration, I feel as if 2 stars are warranted. Especially in this industry, honesty and integrity are everything, and in this financial climate, an attempt to take advantage of one's clients lacks integrity and honesty in my estimation. What I was happy with was the thoroughness of inspection, the ease of access to mechanic notes, and the whole process in general. This is very good and top notch. But that does not in any way warrant what they quoted me for

So hard to find a shop that just will be dead honest no matter what and do the right thing regardless. Funny thing is, if they would just operate with the understanding that we will be honest and repair your vehicle today for less and that in turn, you will come back for years to come and they will wind up making more money from you over the long-term than a short term potential gouge. We actually wound up taking our vehicle back to the dealership and shockingly enough, they proved to us that a couple of the parts that JSI was telling us needed to be replaced we're functioning per manufacturers specs and not problematic at all. Needless to say, we will not be taking our vehicles back to this shop and we're not telling anyone not to go there, just trying to make other's aware of our experience that's all.
