Located in the southside of Holland, and was worth the visit. It offers many of their own beers and cocktails. The space is large with two rooms, one was the bar area with lots of seating and the other is a game room. It has a minimalistic vibe. There is also outside seating. They do not serve food , but there was a food truck outside. We sat at the bar and all of the bartenders were so personable and friendly, I believe one was the owner. Service was great !

We stumbled upon tulip city-- a really neat place for a drink (or three) that's guaranteed to help you unwind. The menu includes an array of wine, cocktails and draft beer, all sure to please any mood. All very reasonably priced as well. Once you're doublefisting some brews you can hang in the main area or migrate to the where all the fun happens. Foosball, pool, cornhole and plethora of dart boards await you for nonstop fun. This area turned into a dance floor and got quite busy pretty quickly when a wedding event arrived for an after party. My group had a fantastic time, I couldn't ask for anything more.

A fun new brewery that also sells distilled beverages as well as some wine. There are a lot of fun games to play here like bags and darts. There's also card games to play. They don't sell food, however there is a taco truck usually in the tacos are really good and make custom ordered. The tacos are better than average and are actually really good. The salsa is also homemade and is excellent. There aren't a lot of TVs, but there is a big Projection screen for sport games

I was at another place nearby when my sister suggested we check this place out, as it had just opened very recently within the past couple of weeks. Concept sounded cool and I'm always down for a new experience! Tulip City only serves their own products, which include beer, wine, spirits, and cider. Outside of the beer/wine list, there is a cocktail list with drinks made from their spirits. The indoor space is broken into two main rooms: one main room with seating/TV/bar area and another indoor game space. The indoor game space (which I unfortunately didn't get a photo of) is really neat: it had darts, cornhole boards, giant Jenga, etc. The main seating room gave the overall impression on having a lot of potential, but more could've been done with the space. Seating was odd and minimally decorated. I thought the drink menu was on small side for an establishment of this type. As a group of 4, we each tried different things. I had the chocolate martini. I've had many at various places and they always have chocolate syrup inside the glass and a chocolate milk type appearance. The one here had no syrup and to the eye looked like cola. Different. Chocolate flavor was just ok. One person in our group had the hard cider, and the other 2 people had two different beers: the Hop College and Windmill Wheat. No one was impressed with their drinks and I was the only one to finish mine; everyone else was content to leave the rest and move to the next spot. I tried a sip of everything at the table--Hop College was passable but the other 2 were pretty bad. Tulip City has no kitchen but does have a taco truck on weekends. They only had one type of taco: steak, and it was authentic and delicious. Highlight of my visit here. Service was good: we had a server come to our table to take our drink orders and check on us every so often and he was polite and friendly. Overall, I was really happy to try this place after hearing about it. However, they need to work on their indoor environment (the non-gaming side), adding more to their menu, and the quality of their brews. I don't see a return visit in my future.

Our bartender had been working here for a couple years, so he knew the specials and was quick with his work. A real mix of customers from a college student to a couple of workmates, our family, and another group of friends further back. You can go to their website to get on the email list for the password each week or you can go to the host stand at Butch's and ask if there is available seating "downstairs". The two times I've done this, the host always understands. They pick up the phone and call downstairs to see if there's any open spots and let us go down there. There are stairs or you can take the elevator to the basement level. After you've arrived downstairs you can find the door with the black lock symbol and KNOCK THREE TIMES. They will let you in and welcome you to find a seat. They have a water station where you can help yourself and some tables and a couch and bar seating. The menu is pretty fantastic. I haven't had a drink that I dislike yet! The prices are a bit elevated but that's okay for a fancy drink imo. Hope you check out this gem if you're ever in Holland and want to go on a little adventure to find this place! My only complaint is the basement area smells a little funky but inside the bar was fine. But otherwise it's totally amazing and worth the experience! The people working here are great too! So kind'

I wanted something fun, so I chose the Don the Beachcomber, a rum-based tiki cocktail that is flamed tableside. My friend got the Obstacle No. 1, which is a bourbon drink that they smoke at your table. Very theatrical and fun! These drinks were $20+ so pretty pricey, but worth it for a fun occasion. We had a nice time just relaxing and catching up. I would say it's not a great spot for a large group, but definitely a fun date night place. I've been here with small groups and large groups and we have always received great service. The menu states that since everything is made from scratch it might take up to an hour to get your food but it has never taken that long when we have been here. On this visit we started with two orders of nachos, requesting no meat in one order. The nachos here are seriously my favorite that I have ever had from any restaurant. Ingredients include roasted corn, black beans,, red onion, cheese, lettuce, pico, cilantro, and lime chipotle cream, and choice of meats. We ordered ground beef on one order and the other meatless. After the nachos we ordered a Fun Guy pizza and a burrito, which was huge! We all shared the pizza and burrito. We enjoyed goat cheese cheesecake for dessert. It was wonderful. The food was good, but a little pricey for what it was. We ordered tge brussel sprouts, and felt the lacked something. We got a side of balsamuc reduction for $2, and that helped. We also shared a 12" Hollander pizza. The sauce was creamy, and the sweetness from the caramelized onions was a great touch. Red pepper flakes helped balance out the flavors. We felt like there was too much crust. Having 2 inches of crust made us feel like we were missing sauce, and I didn't like the crust without the sauce. Here's the full story: My Dad loves his Bourbon. He ordered "Eagle Rare Bourbon neat" and specifically said, "not the Rye". Well when he takes his first sip, Dad immediately knows it is the Rye. Unfortunately, the waiter already walked away. He passed the glass around, and everyone at the table agreed to the best of their knowledge that it is a Rye. I've had both. It tastes like the Rye. When the waiter comes back, he apologies and goes back to get the Bourbon. This time, he comes back with a small tasting glass to make sure Dad wants the Bourbon. He drinks it, confirms this one is the Bourbon, and the waiter is on his way. So far, good customer service! Except, the waiter doesn't come back with the proper drink. Next, the manager comes back and explains he "watched the video footage and confirmed the bartender did not touch the Eagle Rare Rye bottle, therefore the original drink must be the Bourbon". Nope! No no no no no. My Dad tasted both, and they are definitely not from the same bottle! After the manager walked away, I smelled the empty tasting glass and the original Rye glass and 100% confirmed for myself that the liquor in each glass was different! You aren't going to gaslight my nose and my Dad's much more experienced taste buds! Either the manager was lying about reviewing video footage, he reviewed footage from the wrong timeframe, or the original Rye wasn't even from Eagle Rare but some other bottle the manager wasn't looking at. He did NOT confirm that the footage showed the bartender poring Eagle Rare Bourbon the first time. Anyways, we were too polite to make a fuss at the time, but I'm finally taking the time to write this review. Who reviews video footage (or worse, lies about doing so) over a single drink dispute? Who looks an old(er) man dead in the face and claims his taste buds are deceiving him? I'm very disappointed by the behavior of that manager.
