I typically go to a private nail tech but I decided I wanted a manicure and remembered seeing this spot. The girls are all very young but work fast and efficient. I believe Lin helped me and she cleaned my cuticles up perfectly! I paid $35! Not bad!! I'm definitely coming back to see how their acrylic sets are! :)

I had high hopes for this salon, most reviews were pretty positive. I don't get my nails done often but my nails and cuticles were in need of a major clean up. I asked for the first photo, just a shorter set of French tips with dip and showed them this photo. Well, after being juggled back and forth between techs, I received something not very close to what I requested and there was no care taken to help my dry cracked cuticles. For the price, i guess I was hoping for a little more than what I was given. Sadly, won't be returning.

Y'all please don't come here if you want to over spend with barely service. My only advice is, avoid the guy. 5 stars for the girls that did our services. 1 stars for the guy, Tim, and his customer service. So I called this place for a last minute appointment. I was slightly annoyed at first that the person who picked up was adamant we come in within 20 mins. We needed time to get ready, and there was the 10 min driving time. 4:00pm wasn't going to cut it for us. The person calls back and said 4:15 should work. So when we got there, we had 2 manicures, 2 pedicures. Granted I had gel for both my feet and hands. The people were nice. However, the person who did my gel manicure didn't do a massage. I asked about the massage, and he said, "oh it only comes with cuticle oil." Bro, you and I both know massage comes standard gel manicure. If it only comes with cuticle oil, you really shouldn't be charging a whole $30 for a gel manicure. So it was $160 in total. Plus tipped every $20 each for a tip. That's $220 total. The gals who did our services definitely deserves the amount we paid for. The guy? He maybe talented at acrylic nail designs, but the lack luster customer service from him wasn't great. He definitely did not deserve that $20 tip. I do have to agree with some of the other reviews, he was rough with the cuticles. On top of that, Tim went off and took care of another walk in client in the middle of my service. I didn't mind him taking care of the walk-in. I'm normally pretty cool with it. Just looking at some of the past reviews, Tim seems kind of petty. Will we be back? Probably not. Because the more I'm writing about the service here, the more angry I'm becoming.

I randomly found this salon and have been a loyal customer since 2021. There honestly isn't another salon that can compare locally. My nails are always on point. They are super consistent with the quality and designs here in Salinas. I moved a couple times during the last 2 years but they are so good I keep coming back!!! Not to mention, I got my mama and my bf coming here consistently for their appointments too!! The staff are always so kind and patient with all the requests I've had over the years. lyn is truly a gem. She is very understanding every time I come either by appointment or walk in. They even fix my nails whenever I have an accident. They know me so well. Everyone always seem happy to be here and care about their customers. The staff, quality of service and the whole ambiance is what keeps me coming back. Highly recommend them.

I'm new to town, moved here October 2022 and still haven't found a nail place until I came here... the first time i had mixed feelings because i had the best pedicure by an older woman and an average short nail design by the guy... although the nail shape and thickness was disappointing... the nail design was lit ..... so I tried other places. I kept trying new places but all nail places kept doing a crappy job.. so i was like, you know f*** it, I'll give them another try because my first visit was mixed feelings.. So this second time around I got the nail tech IVY, and she didn't disappoint So yes I'll be coming back as of now.. also she was nice, took her time and didn't cut me like other places.. I found this place during covid & they took all precautions to keep everyone safe, i went in again yesterday & had a pedicure & she does an excellent job, very thorough & relaxing, with help from the massage chair & her expert experience i left there feeling relaxed & pampered, i of course will be back in about 3 weeks, give them a try, you wont be disappointed read more

New place for me. After that expense at Bella Nails, I needed a new place. It's small, not as fancy as Bella. But it cost $100.00 less then Bella for exactly the same service. Two manny's and two petty's $100.00 less. I like to get dip on my finger nails. Anna did such a great job. The dip was put on really thin. It looked so natural. From out of town and looking for a nail salon and based on doing my homework and fellow reviews, Tulip Nails seemed to meet my needs. COVID precautions were set into place and I felt safe as well as relaxed. I enjoyed a pedicure and had a full set. Tim was great! And paid attention to detail which made me feel even better about the quality of service. I left a new woman to strut around with matching nails and toes....too overdue! I always try to give nail places the benefit of the doubt as they can get really busy at any point of the day. I called to make an appt at 5pm and asked how much for a manicure. Being from the Bay Area, when she told me $10 it was a steal. I normally pay $12. From then it went downhill. My cuticles weren't cut well, I had to ask her to fix it. After that she left to help someone else and her daughter came to paint. The owner had already finished and cleaned my nails but the daughter decided to fix my cuticles more and re buff. Did a very basic messy paint job, tried to wipe it off but didn't do a great job. My boyfriend told me to have them fix my cuticles again plus the paint but I knew they wouldn't be able to do it after trying to fix it twice already. Better to do it myself. When I went to pay I was charged $15, and I asked them why did they tell me $10 over the phone. They just said it was $15, the other two employees had no clue what was going on. 2 stars for the initial good service of providing snacks and water. Look at the pics attached - rushed looking job but took forever and dry cuticles. read more

First time going because I moved to this side of town, so I was in search for a really good spot lucky I came across tulip nails & im really happy because the service was really really good, the pedicure was amazing they take there time with you and make sure everything is right. Ask got my nails done & I really liked the shape as well as the color, overall I do recommend this place is definitely worth the $ and time. You won't regret it read more

This is a fairly new place. I recently moved back to Salinas so I was in search of a new nail place. I've tried almost every nail salon and I would always leave feeling unhappy about the work that was done. I came here to see if the reviews that were previously posted were accurate and they were! I love this place ! The owners are super sweet and they do a great job. My regular manicure lasted for almost a week ( that never happens) . I also loved how they spent a lot of time massaging my feet and that the parrafin wax was part of the basic pedicure . They provided complimentary snacks and a water . I have been struggling to find a great nail salon and I finally did!! I got a pedicure with regular polish and an acrylic fill with gel polish. I have never been so happy with the shape and quality of both my pedicure and fill. Every woman I came into contact with that worked here was so warm and sweet. They offered a variety of snacks and water. They are very accommodating as well as skilled at their work. Very happy. I will definitely be coming back! And the prices are great too read more

This place is extremely well kept and admire there work. I stopped by cause I needed an emergency acrylic set it's been a long time since I have seen manicurist so attentive to the nails and willing to please there customers. Anita or Lanette can't remember her name did my nails She had told me she has been doing nails for 18 yrs so she is very experienced she done my coffin nails perfectly and took her time her coworker brought out snacks and water bottles. I really wanted to like this place. It's close to my work and the price was the same as elsewhere. All the nails in my full set lifted within 10 days. I txted the owner for an apt two times and she didn't respond. When I walked in for an apt she told me 5 minutes but was mid way through someone else's fill. I told her I txted you two times and you didn't respond. She just laughed in my face which I didn't appreciate so I left. I'm sorry it didn't work out here and the snacks I didn't eat don't make up for the my nails that lifted and her rude treatment. read more

It used to be a 5 star in my eyes but ever since the RUDE owner's son started working there I will not be going there anymore! I can't stand his rude attitude and I will telling all my friends and relatives that I referred there NOT to go there anymore. The ladies are really nice and polite and they do a good job, not to mention the snacks and water they provide. Not only is he RUDE, he does a horrible job. Don't let him work on your nails!!! read more

They have a lot of tables set up that aren't being used that just takes up a lot of space and makes the client sitting area look more like a messy maze with only 2 to 3 tables being used the same with the pedicure seat seats along row, but again only three maybe four being used they have more people working on pedicure than manicures and insisting on pedicures when you walk in the creating isn't welcoming. It's more starling the way they shout at you. Also, the customers are all looky lou's looking just as angry as the nail tech the minute you walk in they're yelling what you looking for when you tell them they want you to shot it back out to them for the whole salon to hear and then before accepting they want to see what your nails look like which I don't know what difference that makes and they always have this sort ok take a seat as if they made an exception to work on you I don't understand this concept, but it's very discouraging as you're waiting. They start all talking in their language with a really unfriendly tone behind it. It sounds like a lot of complaining I could be wrong but then again all I'm going based off of is the tone and looks and the road sounds in sighs behind their discussion. I tried not to be so judgmental went through with pushing through and tolerating all of this to then continue being unhappy and regretful that I gave this place a chance they immediately want you to choose your color for your nails before they've even started on you as I'm looking through and they're starting the process on one hand, they keep rushing what color what color I tell the girl I'm indecisive I'm still looking that there's a lot of pretty colors even though there was really not that many. I was just trying to be nice. They continue to push OK but what color again and I had to say that I was still indecisive so then another one comes up and insists on me to choose the color. They have plenty other nail rings that they have. The nail colors they offer so it's not like I'm holding up other clients from taking a look at it, but when I had told the second woman that comes to ask for the color, I'm choosing that I was still looking the start up in their language again and she stands there with her hand on her hip basically not wanting to budge until I choose a color. I don't know why that is such a huge deal to them. Some women are eating at their workstations one employee, I seen picking her teeth with her fingernail, then started to work on a customer when they walked in without washing her hands. Upon my arrival, I asked if they take card they said yes, but after my nails were done and I was ready to pay the woman says when she sees me pull out my card oh no cash I need cash. I said I asked this woman if you guys take cards and she said yes no no I need cash. Can you pay cash? I said I'll have to go to the bank thankfully there's a bank right across the parking lot. She said OK hurry hurry you Go. This was another unnecessary inconvenience. Luckily use the bank that is in the plaza. If not, I don't know what they would've done. I guess they would've accepted my card then I hope to end this I'll give my opinion on the quality of my full set. I found my acrylic nails to be very thick, especially at the tips. They look like duck bills one of the nails was crooked and I pointed that out to her while she was doing my nails and she said no that's your finger. lol my overall experience and outcome of my nails I would not suggest this unprofessional disorganized, rude salon to anyone.

Had a great and relaxing experience! The owner was super friendly and sweet. She provided me water and random snacks to munch on. I asked for a basic Mani and pedi and requested if they can do a major scrub on my foot. At a point I use 3 people working on me. Felt like a queen! I love that the place is clean. Everyone was nice and tried to make conversation with me. Great selection of colors! But unfortunately I was a little disappointed of my color selection on my hand, it did not look like the sample color they gave me . Overall they did a good job on my nails in cleaning and scrubbing my foot. I would def come back and recommend this place to people if they happen to be in the area. They showed me the products they used and the purpose of using them which I really appreciated because that is not common in other nail salons for them to show you what and why they are using what they are using. Came in today with my friend and I loved it here! "the owner" did an amazing job on my ombré nails! I absolutely love the way my nails turned out. She is professional and super helpful in choosing the nail color and gives suggestions on nail art/shape. The atmosphere is relaxing, classy and clean.
