    40. Pad Kee Mao Thai Hot

7/22/25 First visit. S/W corner of Power Rd and Guadalupe, East Mesa. Parking 5/5 Plenty in front and in shared lot. Service 5/5 Only customers in Resturant and very friendly owner/server greated us immediately. We picked a table and she took our drink orders. My wife's had regular iced tea and I ordered their Thai Tea. When she returned with our drinks she took our meal orders. My wife chose the vegetable fried rice and I other Pad Tee Mao Thai Hot. My wife also ordered her favorite Thai Sticky Mango Rice. Ambiance 5/5 Zero curb appeal like many strip mall eateries but inside it was quaint, clean and nicely decorated. Food 4/5 I really enjoyed my Beef Pad Kee Mao. The rice noodles were traditional wide flat and the dish was fresh and the flavors were spot on! I added Thai hot spice which was milder than some of my other Thai go-to's. I suspect they made it milder not believing I wouldn't enjoy it that spicy, I get it. The dish was excellent! My wife wasn't too excited with her vegetable fried rice, mostly due to the rice itself not being fried long enough. She wouldn't order it again. The Sticky Mango rice was another story. She crowned this the best of her favorite Resturant's. If I convince her to give the restaurant a second chance by trying something else like one of their Curries I won't need to visit solo to enjoy my Thai noodles. Prices were higher than our other two favorite Thai Resturant's. If you're in the area give them a try! $58.60 with Tip, Eat Well my Friends-SYOY!

My mom wanted Thai for her birthday. I'm new to the area and found this place on Yelp. We were not disappointed! A small but well maintained restaurant with great food. The egg rolls were perfectly cooked and very good. My mom had pad Thai and enjoyed it. I had the yellow curry which had a good balance of meat and vegetables. The service was quick and efficient. I will definitely be going back!

I've been coming to Tum Nak Thai for over 15 years. This family owned restaurant never disappoints. The owners work hard and they truly enjoy what they do. They will remember you and they'll remember your order, exactly how you like (like no carrots and double the broccoli for me!). My favorite dish is Pad See Iw but everything I've had there is incredible. It's a must go place whenever I have guests in town. I also work down the street, so when I'm impressing my boss or guests of the boss I definitely take them here. Their food is high quality and it's always made very quickly.

I've heard so many good things about this place, so we were super excited to try it out because we were in the area. The atmosphere and service were both pretty good, but the food didn't match. We started with the Fried Wontons (Keaw Todd), which were barely edible. They tasted stale and like old grease. We also ordered Entrees. My Dad got a chicken dish with garlic in it, and I went for the Pad Thai with Chicken. My Dad could best describe his dish as "low-quality". I tried a bite and had to agree. The Pad Thai had a good flavor but was slightly too sweet and had a very watery sauce. It reminded me of ketchup. I'm so disappointed because we've been eyeing this place for months!

    Sticky rice $8.50

We had a late night craving for mango sticky rice. Ordered pick up 30 min before close. I don't think they were happy about it because when we picked up lady was not very nice. Sticky rice was ok. I will not be trying this place for other items. We ordered 3 of these.

Super yummy mom and pop restaurant. We got the lunch special, which was only $8.95! It includes an entree and a fried egg roll. I got the Pad Thai and my husband got the Pad See Ew. I also got a Thai iced tea to drink. The service was super fast and friendly. We were in and out in just a little over half an hour, which was perfect because we had to go pick up our kids from school. Would definitely recommend! Support small business!!!

Ambiance 5/5 This is a nice Thai quaint restaurant with a nicely decorated dining room with Cultural pieces throughout. Service 5/5++ Dinner service was provided again by Moo. What's amazing is her immediate recognition of me and my last order. I have memory envy. Moo got things rolling with Ice Tea. The starter was their rice paper spring rolls (salad rolls) which come as four servings with a nice peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. As mentioned in my previous review, these are amazing delicious because they are made fresh with thinly sliced cucumber, carrot, sprouts, fresh mint, cilantro and spring mix with a choice of protein. I always have them made with shrimp. Pro-tip challenge Try eating just one serving! Entrees ordered Pad Kee Moa (drunken noodles) Thai Hot! Pork Jerky, nicely seasoned with Thai seasoning and Sriracha sauce reduction. Served with a crispy outer crust and tender pork center. This came with another delicious dipping sauce, bravo! Food10/5 Chef Tom continues to deliver a very fresh culinary experience. One of my friends always goes for the yellow curry and I loved the masaman curry once, and honestly I don't think you can order anything bad off this menu. Also, the decor is very Thai and very fun. The only downside is that the place is pretty small, and on one visit we had a waitress who came off a bit intimidating. That said, I've also gone with a group of twelve and they were super accommodating, which says a lot. Five stars regardless! The food is just that good!

We shared the chicken panang, pot stickers, orange chicken, and honey pork, and every single plate impressed. The chicken panang was rich and comforting with deep, complex flavor, the pot stickers were perfectly cooked, and the honey pork was tender with just the right touch of sweetness. We loved that you can choose your spice level, and we tried medium, hot, and Thai hot. Each one delivered exactly what it promised without overwhelming the flavor of the dish. The heat enhanced the food rather than masking it, which says a lot about the quality of the cooking. Our son declared he will never order orange chicken anywhere else again and honestly, we agree. The basil chicken had almost no basil flavor at all. I only found a single basil leaf in the entire dish, which took away from what should be a signature ingredient. Based on my experience, the strong reviews here feel a bit overstated. I was hoping for more authentic flavor and seasoning than what was served.
