Got the chicken tenders and they were 5/5. On point. Spice level was hot, and was just enough for me and provided a decent kick. I gave them a 4/5 not based on their chicken, but because I'm pretty bias when it comes to fries. I'm not a fan of the thin cut fries, and I didn't think they were very special, although my wife couldn't get enough of them. Will return! My boyfriend and I love tumble 22, it has become quite a regular place for us to get a few times a month. However, last night, my boyfriend hadn't eaten ANYTHING all day, until he got Tumble. I decided to not eat there and get something else (which thank god my intuition told me not to eat it), within 3 hours my boyfriend was vomiting and the other thing. He has been up since 11pm last night, it is now 12pm the next day and he's finally in bed getting some sleep after spending a night basically living in the bathroom. I will say I'm surprised he got food poisoning here, since they've always been great. But the facts are, tumble 22 was the first and only thing he ate that day, and I got something else for dinner. We ordered the Mo Hot sauce, which is the middle of 5 different levels - it was perfect for me. I had originally ordered the dark meat because I like moist chicken and sometimes the white meat can be a bit dry. The dark meat was so moist that the next time we are there I am going to go for the white to see how that is. The selection of beer was small, but still a good set of beers. Based on the size of the place and that this is not your traditional "sit down" type of restaurant, it was adequate enough. Will definitely be going back soon. In less than fifteen minutes, I was able to place my order for three "Cluckin'Hot" (The Hottest on the menu) level hot chicken tenders, and a small order of fries. The food is divine, for 13$ at thay, I got three huge chicken tenders that cooked my mouth to a cinder, if you're a spice enthusiast like me? This is amazing, it's Ghost peppers that really pack a PUNCH and left me crying in pain and joy at the same time. If you're a fan of emulating "The Last Dab" from "Hot Ones" but doing it for three entire chicken tenders? Do it, otherwise, try the less spicy flavors. Now, aside from me waxing poetic about incinerating my mouth with hot tenders the actual chicken tastes homemade, not from some frozen bag, they're crispy, seasoned on the inside, and juicy. The Mo' Hot bone-in chicken is to die for! Each piece was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and had just the right amount of heat. The Tumble 22 location in Cedar Park was DELICIOUS so when my brother chose those this location for his birthday lunch, I was excited to eat here. This location is a poor representation of this brand. The food came out super quick, like 7 minutes or less from when we ordered it from the waiter. I know why it was quick - it was not made fresh to order. The fries at the Cedar Park location were really good. This location - fries were warm and tasted much like P Terry's fries - not very good. The mac was the same but a smaller amount than the Cedar park location. The tenders were not battered as well as the CP location and they too were not freshly cooked fresh. My brother got the OG sandwich and was not pleased with the sandwich or the fries. We will not be back to this location. We were so sad because I KNOW how good Tumble 22 can really be... if you go to the Cedar Park location. read more

This review is specifically for the service we received today from Eduardo, our bartender. We stopped in around 3:30 for a couple of drinks and to order some food to go. We ordered two frozen margaritas but the machine wasn't ready so I ordered a rocks margarita which was super good, Eduardo apologized for the fact that the frozen margs weren't ready. He was attentive and friendly. The machine was ready to serve deliciously frozen and quite strong margs about 15 minutes after we sat down. They were worth the wait. The O.G. Sandwich essentially puts all chicken sandwiches to shame. There's nothing revolutionary about it, and there doesn't need to be; a shiny bun of fluffy sweetness, a massive, hot, and juicy fried chicken breast, slaw and mayo to offset the heat, and the inevitable pickles. There are 5 levels of heat for all chicken, and I'd roll with level 3-4 for a comfortable, slow burn that forces you to savor each bite. Levels 1-2 are for mild eaters, and level 5 is uncomfortable, although not totally painful. At $9, it's pricey, but worth it considering how filling it is. (Note: the Southern Sandwich is the same as the O.G. Sandwich but with thigh instead of breast, and I usually prefer thigh over breast, but in this case, breast is the classic and more appropriate cut of meat) The only side I've tried is the Mac & Cheese, which is great but definitely not worth $5. In conclusion, try this sandwich. I'll be back eventually to try the chicken on its own and compare to Gus's, which is legendary but doesn't offer any spice variability. read more

This is my first time here. They have a new one in Cedar Park that replaced another chicken place that seemingly failed. I left a client's house today and saw this Tumble22 around the corner. It's lunch time. I'm starved so why not? I ordered their chicken bites (12 piece) and did the "mo' hot" at the waitress' suggestion. Also ordered the small BBQ beans and mac & cheese (dirty) with unsweet tea. The tea is good and has flavor, not watered down (which makes me very happy as most places, the tea is mild to say the least. The beans were okay. I won't order them again. Needed salt to make them okay, before they were bland. The mac was pretty good, very cheesy also could use salt but able to be eaten without. The chicken is very good. Initially I thought the spice a little light but it builds. By the time I'd finished half of them, I had a nice burn going. So I will probably try the same level of spice when I come again. Though, I might try the next level up for the fun of it. What I really like though is the flavor. It's got a nice flavor that goes with the spice. The bites were nice and juicy so not overcooked. I ordered the dozen and I got a couple extra, so no complaints there. Each "bite is about 2 or 3 normal bites of food so it's a good amount of food. I have to say the 2 sides are high-prices for what you get. The small is quite small for $3 and $5.50 dishes. On the mac, they shred 1 or maybe 2 of the chicken bites for the extra $1.50, which is not much for the cost. It tastes great like that, don't get me wrong, I just expected more. At least more of the chicken. At $4, the mac is still high-priced. I will return and get more chicken because they arguably have the best fried chicken dish I've had. But I will try other sides. For now I give them 5 stars for the chicken and service. The sides weren't bad and come down to preference, others rave about their beans and mac. Hopefully I find sides I like. read more

All of our friends and I were blown away at the sandwich. The Mo Spicy was jus the right amount of heat and all the flavors from the sandwich worked its wonders! I came here over a year ago before Covid and it was fantastic. Came here again a few days ago and while still really good, definitely seemed to have taken a step back. The chicken was seasoned extremely well, but not as crispy as I remembered. The breast was good, but some parts were slightly dry. Thighs wings and drums were amazing and juicy. We ordered a couple sides as well. The deviled eggs were better than expected and a pleasant surprise. Mac and cheese was really good as well, and the fries were solid. Service was a bit lacking as a couple orders were missed and we weren't provided utensils until we asked, but we came during Thanksgiving week and they were very understaffed so totally understand the hiccups.
