Me and a group of coworkers went here for lunch. Not only were all our orders labeled as to go when it wasn't, the orders brought out were wrong !! Every single last one along with cold *ss chicken wings‼ People that came in after us received their food before us. I'm guessing because they were of a lighter hue! I had a table close to the bar. I could hardly dine because of all the loud drunks. One closest to me sang, slurred speech, tried to sell me real estate. He was not the only obvious drunk at the bar. I could not wait to get out of there. It seemed no one was in charge. read more

Cute little diner. Food isn't terrible. Would go back. Presentation is nice but I'm a Texan so I like a little more flavor. Chicken was very peppery. Overall very bland. I had the spicy pasta. No spice. Again I have high expectations for spice. Service is always friendly. This is our second trip. Wintertime is a little cold when people are coming in and out. Awesome service staff, friendly and knowledgeable. Specials on Tuesday and Wednesday were shrimp and wings both were exceptional. They have one of my favorite beers on tap Red Oak. Nice place with a lot of good food options. Halee was our server, very nice and she was on her game, not an empty glass, lunch came out quickly, and just as expected. Heard rave reviews about their food, so decided to check them out. Like others have mentioned in their reviews that the food is really good. Steak is tender and flavorful as well as the fresh tasting salads. I ordered a draft beer and immediately could tell it was watered down....no question about it. Never in my life have I ever experienced water downed beer to this extreme. I was basically drinking water. Then I ordered bottle beer after that and could tell a huge difference. The bottled beer we're about $5 each.....overpriced if you ask me. There was a solo singer and he was alright. Service was good and kept tabs on their tables if anything was needed. The parking lot is a nightmare.....pull straight in and then have to back all the way out. Not good if your in a night situation. If your looking for a good steak dinner, search no more. However, if your looking for good beer and entertainment.....keep looking elsewhere. read more

Tiny, Thin over spiced $25 T-Bone served alone as the over spiced fries weren't ready at the same time. Major communication malfunction with the guy that greets you and seats you then doesn't assign a server. Staff training is bad, greeter picking food up off of the floor then delivering food. Skinny waiter with gauges in his ears can't stop playing with his hair then handling food. Don't expect a real steakhouse, this place needs to step up the quality of the food and cleanliness. Hope they get their act together as there aren't many options in Lenoir, nice comfortable feel that ends there... OMFG! Soooo DANK!!! I just moved to the area and have been wanting to try this whole in the wall out and finally did! I will so be back and will so be telling my friends about it!!! Hubby got the ATW burger (or awt don't remember) it had taco meat and coleslaw on it and lemme tell you, he's a burger connessuior and he said it's the best burger he's ever had in his life. Super weird combo of things on the burger but whoever's grandma invented that needs to be hugged and kissed! We also got the sampler as an appetizer and it was DElicious!!!! And HUGE! I got the half rack of ribs and a baked potato and salad. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZINGGGG! FALL OFF THE BONE! Salad was perfect too, had everything I wanted on it! Great little spot if you are looking for a good steak . They were out of the T-Bone so I ordered a Ribeye. It was cooked perfect with good seasoning. Came with a loaded baked potato and side salad. All was delicious. Beer is cold too! I will be back. read more

Food is good, don't order a drink they are costly and watered down so much. You do not get what you pay for. And out of the times I've been. The entertainment was only good one time. I gave it three stars because the food is good, if you're looking for good food they have it. If you're looking for drinks and entertainment go someplace else. read more

The service was outstanding! We loved the people and the atmosphere but the food was overpriced and underwhelming. We both ordered the NY Strip, it was prepared medium rare as we requested but was tough and thin and not worth $22.00 which included a salad and baked potato. The baked potato wasn't quite done and the salad tasted like it came out of a bag. I realize that Covid has done it's damage everywhere but if your specialty is steak you need to back it up with good to great steak. If this is the best steak in Lenoir I'd go elsewhere. read more

So let me just say that this was probably the worst meal I have ever paid for in my 59 years. The place is a hole in the wall which I don't normally consider a problem. The desk clerk at the hotel said this was the best place in town....poor town! I would only advise going here if you want to have a few beers and socialize, eat somewhere else. We went to eat and listen to Mitch for a little bit but was told that "due to rotation" we had to sit upstairs. Well after the next FEW tables came in the "rotation" was none existent and they filled every single table on the lower level and we were left on the upper level by ourselves until about 10 before we left. After we said something again one of the waitresses was pretty rude and even raised her voice at my boyfriend, and then the 2 slimmer female waitresses were running their mouths about us as I watched them and making rude faces. It's definitely not a place we will go back to anytime soon. Our waiter was excellent I will say that but the female waitresses were beyond catty. read more

I've spoken with the owner several times at Dos Amigos of Lenoir about his the new restaurant (Tumbleweeds Steak & Tavern) he was opening which will also have several vegetarian dishes since he is also a vegetarian. For this reason, I was optimistic. Unfortunately after our experience I don't foresee us returning... Food quality is sub-par for the amount charged, service is slow, and owner/staff seems unconcerned about problems. Our server was the owner's wife and was informed I was a vegetarian when she took our initial drink order. 1. Appetizers were received separately approximately 10 minutes apart. Mozzarella Sticks served in a checkered red & white paper fry container (like you would get from a cart vendor at a ballgame). 2. The house salads were received 5 minutes after the meals. 3. My husbands' 14 oz. Ribeye was chewy (comparable to a steak from Walmart) and the broccoli was overcooked. 4. My son's & father-in-law's 12 oz Ribeyes looked more like 8 oz cut of flank steak and the baked potatoes were old (inside of potato brown instead of white). 5. My alfredo pasta [that I had made a point to tell the server (vegetarian owner's wife) again at time of ordering let the server that I was a vegetarian] was received with small chicken & sauteed onion pieces in the bottom of the bowl hidden under the pasta. When I told the server (owner's wife) know about the chicken pieces, she didn't apologize or rectify the situation. Instead she said, okay. I had to request a new one. When it was received, it still had a few places that had the same 'brown' color in it. For this reason, I asked it to be removed from my bill. read more

We liked our food. My date got a ribeye and I got the quesadilla salad. I loved the spicy ranch. His steak was thin but had a good flavor so he was happy. I have no complaints about the food. The steps to go upstairs are kind of steep, so some may want to ask for a downstairs table. The music was awful, and that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We were there on a Sunday evening, not very crowded and it seemed they were letting the servers take turns choosing songs. There are reasons that most restaurants choose a theme for their music and it is usually pop from some decade, not alternative rock. The vibe needs to match what you are trying to do with the food. If that is bar scene only, you can scale down the food. read more

Lenoir needed this restaurant!! They have done a beautiful job on the inside. Everyone there was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. Nice selection of draft beers. Husband got wings and loved them. I got the steak and it was very well seasoned. Met one of the owners while we were there and he was very nice. Was asking about our meal and how we felt about the place. Really made you feel welcome. We knew alot of the workers in there so we will definitely be going back again and again! My husband and I were at Tumbleweeds last night. Nice atmosphere with lots of smiles. I could go on about how inviting it is but I've got to talk about the food! We both had the 8 oz filet, salad and a side. Delicious! Perfectly seasoned. My husband's exact words were, "This may be the best steak that I've ever eaten". The table beside us said that they had already eaten there 4 times and they just opened! Tumbleweeds is not "bar food" or fast food. Definitely going back to try other menu items.
