    Salmon tacos
    Kevin S.

The staff are welcoming and cheerful, the walls are decorated with the work of local artists, lots of natural light, and plenty of seating inside and out. The menu is expansive as is the daily special board. Order from the counter, take a number, grab a seat. The food is fresh and made to order, be patient- it's worth the wait. The green chili stew wasn't especially spicy, and is very flavorful. The salmon tacos were great as well. Notably the rice was light, and the beans were just right.

Love this spot! The food is so good. one of those local neighborhood gems you can always count on. The service is on point, and the patio is perfect for a relaxing meal. Cozy, charming, and always good vibes. Highly recommend if you're looking to get out of downtown for a nice lunch or dinner. You really can't go wrong here. We've been here a few times now and honestly have not had anything but an amazing time.

Nice patio sitting and look at these flowers

Every spot you visit in New Mexico has its own unique take on chili, and the flavors are always distinct. Breakfast here was definitely different from anything we've tried before in Santa Fe. The prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious. We sat out on the patio, soaking up the warm sun and enjoying the fragrant aromas of blooming flowers. You place your order, take a number, and choose your own seating. The coffee was excellent--bold and strong enough to awaken your senses. We had the smothered chorizo burrito and the huevos Salvadoran style--both were packed with flavor and left us completely satisfied. The burrito stuffed with homemade chorizo and the moisture of red and green chile definitely hit the spot. The saldadorean style breakfast really paired the scrambled egg well with the beans and the friend plantain for sweetness. Reminder me of a home cooked meal that I would get at my in-laws on a Sunday morning accompanied by tortillas. The downfall is I only got 1 tortilla with my meal but despite that I still enjoyed every bite. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the casual ordering system made everything feel relaxed and easy. We'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu next time we're in Santa Fe.

Enchiladas de mole colorado and strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert. Mole sauce could have been a wee spicier, but you can tell it's not overly sweet like the Dona Maria jar sauce. The rice and platanos were yummy. Pie was served cold. On a beautiful spring day, it's okay but would be even better heated.

Wow! One of THE best breakfasts in Santa Fe! I always get "The Omelette" substitute the meat with asparagus. Today I wanted to try something different. The goat cheese and asparagus omelette, NOW this is the one! It also had zucchini, tomatoes, guacamole with chile. Definitely recommend! I attached a picture. NOM NOM NOM

GREAT experience! We for there earlier (5pm), by the time we left it was filling up fast. The lime chicken tortilla soup was a delicious start. Fresh salad ingredients with just the right amount of dressing. The MOLÉ...oh my goodness top notch flavor, texture and so much melty, yummy cheese on the enchiladas. The grilled banana was a different and delicious addition to the dish. Our server was fantastic as was the rest of the staff. We left beyond happy and satisfied. Give them your money! You'll be happy you did.

El Salvadoran Pupusa & Green Chile Beef Stew

This (the pupusas) was a flavor I had never tasted before and I'm so glad I did. These were absolutely unique and terrific. It was my first time in New Mexico and my uncle had suggested I check this out for lunch. Delicious food, great price. Nothing fancy by any means, but when you go to a lunch cafe with an eclectic food blend, what you're looking for is well priced and tasty food. This fit that. Green chile stew was good, pupusas were awesome. Seating was manageable. Vibe was, well I guess NM (coming from the major coastal cities it's a change of pace) but yeah overall definitely a solid choice for some authentic NM and El Salvadoran cross over food combos.

Phenomenal. We wanted a great meal, away from the Plaza scene, specifically with local food. This place did not disappoint. The service was great, prompt and friendly (even with my yappy little Mini Schnauzer--dog friendly!). The food was so fresh and flavored well. They also have an extensive fresh made pie menu. It's not fancy, but it doesn't need to be. The people and the food speaks for itself.

Yummy, glad we found this little place tucked away off the beaten path. The homemade croutons and grilled plantains are great additions.

Yes, yes, a hundred times YES! Do not miss this stop while in Santa Fe. It's nestled in a neighborhood and has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. They have standard menu items for breakfast and lunch and some dishes with Nee Mexico and El Salvadoran flare. You walk-up to order inside and then choose your seat. They will deliver to your table. It was a crisp sunny day, so we ordered two Mexican cokes and took time to peruse the menu and specialties while seated in the outdoor patio. We stopped in around brunch time and ordered a little bit of everything. I have a lighter palate and ordered all sauces on the side, but the heat wasn't bad at all, so I recommend you keep all smothered meals smothered! I ordered a basic bacon, egg, potato, and cheese burrito with avocado because I needed some eggs. The tortilla was homemade and wow... gigantic burrito! We tried their chili relleno, banana leaf wrapped chicken tamale, and steak pupusa. You can order most of these items al la carte if you don't want a full plate. It was all delicious, but the papusa was by far our favorite!! The pupusa had great flavor and the perfect crunch to it. We ended the meal with a fried banana that had a dollop of sour cream sauce on it. The serving sizes are generous, so we did not finish the food, but wow, every bite we did have was well worth it! We will for sure add this top to our top places to eat in Santa Fe!

    Chilaquiles

I came here with my coworkers and the food was pretty good. I think we got there close to right when they opened as there weren't anyone there. The staff were efficient, friendly, and attentive. They have an extensive menu with specials as well. I got the chilaquiles and thought it was pretty good but I thought it was just a little too salty. Definitely would go back to try other menu items!

This is our go-to place when we are in Santa Fe. Love the hand-cut fries! Friendly and cosy, yet larger than you'd think inside.

Is there a gluten free menu?

Can anyone post a photo of the current dinner specials menu (chalkboard)? Thanks!!

My wife is allergic to peppers-- red, green, bell.. all but black pepper (which isn't really a pepper). Are there dishes she could have? Lamb burger for example or halibut pasta?

There are a number of other menu items that do not include those aforementioned peppers. You could also ask them to leave them out of a particular dish. Should not be a big issue.

The guys with me recommended Red Enchilada due to the pupusas not being premade and frozen. Service was friendly and helpful. I tried a drink, called Marañon, which according to Google is the cashew apple. Pupusas were excellent! Especially with the salsa and pickled cabbage w/veggies added on top. The Super Breakfast plate was good too, but was pretty standard (eggs, carne adovada, potatoes, beans). The pupusas were a stand out and I'd definitely go back for those. My friend had to send his steak back because he wasn't cooked the way he asked, but another one in our party also had a steak and we think they just accidentally swapped their steaks when they plated them. They gladly took it back to cook it more. Good prices, and a very large menu too.

Friend and I both go the Adovada combo. I loved the adovada chalupa so much I got an adovada burrito to go for breakfast tomorrow! The cheese enchilada w/Christmas sauces was so delicious, as was the rice and posole. The only thing I didn't love was the shredded beef taco. Beef was dry, tough, a little flavorless. Maybe because it was the bed of the night? My friend got the regular ground beef taco and said she liked it. On top of all this, the food came out fast, piping hot, and the older man who works there is so sweet, never saw him stop working and he made sure to check on us a few times. The woman working tonight was good too, very professional and good service, just not sweet and warm/fuzzy like the older gentleman was. Additionally, prices were fair for the amount and quality of food, ZERO wait, easy parking, not at all touristy, just very small-town, old school diner type vibe.
