I am going to check out any place that has gluten free options and they have full on gluten free meals, not just 'oh we'll take off the bread' like a lot of places. Went there yesterday with a group of friends for lunch. They are a small place and seemed busy but not overly crazy. We sat down quickly, but waited for about 15 minutes to even get a drink order in. The guy was nice and I actually felt bad for him because he was the only waiter. What I didn't understand was we all order the sangria which is pre-made but it still took another 15 minutes to bring our drinks. We ordered ordered 2 salads and 2 soups and the truffle fries for lunch. The truffle fries came out quickly, but we kept having to ask for the rest of our order because other people were getting their food before us when they sat down 30 minutes after us. We finally got our food after 55 minutes of waiting on it which was really frustrating. The guy apologized for the mix up and offered a round of drinks on the house which was nice and made the situation better. The food was good- no complaints in there. When we got the bill we explained we wanted it split and the guy seemed to get it....but when he came back we al had receipts for a total of $180 bucks for an original tab of $115. We explained the situation and again the guy was very apologetic and said he would fix it. This took another 15 minutes! He gave us new receipts and said the he fixed everything. Well- I looked at my bank transactions today and I still have the original amount being charged! It does say "pending" so I'm hoping the amount changes. We spent a total of about 2 hours there to eat soup and salad. I wouldn't recommend if your on a time crunch and I would probably bring cash just to make sure the total on your card is correct. It's too bad because the Sangria was delicious and the truffle fries and food was really good. read more

Mushy, bland patty called a veggie burger. Bun hard as a rock. $16. If you want fries, that's three bucks more. $19 ... Service mediocre. We won't go back. To be fair, the veggie patty is not completely tasteless... They try to disguise the lack of any flavor with very hot pepper spice in the patty, way too much. The food here is soooo good! I got a bbq pork burger and my friend got an all or nothing burger (so huge!) Both dishes were so delicious. The waiters here are also very sweet and helpful at helping us with the menu. The only downside is that it took more than 25 mins for us to get the food when there were only 3 other tables. I've been here twice. Unless something is completely egregious or utterly amazing, I try to hold off on reviews until I've tried a place twice. While tuning fork wasn't appallingly bad, I won't be coming back. Both times I found the service to be a bit snooty, the food mediocre at best. The beer and wine selections were terrible both times. One or two standbys (Piraat, La Fin Du Monde etc) would have been nice but they tried too hard to be otherworldly with their crap watermelon ale, Bells Oberon both of which pair well with nothing. Same with their wine selection. That they brought me the wrong flatbread the second time I was there and I didn't mind because I just wanted to be done and out of there more or less says it all. It took well over 30 minutes and wasn't what I ordered. I wasn't going to wait another half hour. Both times the place was almost empty which makes it a riddle why the food takes so long to get out. i came here for lunch on Sunday. Its nice and quiet, with very rustic feel. Staffs are friendly, food was delicious. Sunday's they have farmers market ini front of the restaurant so you can look around the farm, then come here for a light meal. I had the veggie panini with truffle fries. read more

I think the best way to describe the ambiance here is hipster wine bar. It has an even blending of both. They have a put together wine list, a decent array of bottle beers and a few hard ciders. The service was excellent. We were greeted as we entered, sat down and the server went right away to get water for us both (it may have helped that it was a slow night). I've always wanted to try this place out since I live down and street and always walk by it. It's always busy and I read the other Yelp reviews thinking it would be good. What I got was the worst service experience ever! Went here today for Sunday brunch after the farmers market to finally try this place out. We were seated immediately and the server took our order shortly after. Then 40 minutes passed by and I still don't see my food on the table, I start looking for our server who is no where nearby, probably avoiding us. We waited another 10 minutes before getting up and asking where is our food after waiting 50 minutes!!!! She told us there was a confusion and it should be out shortly. At that point I just gave up on the restaurant and left. Really wanted to try the food but the only thing I tried was a Diet Coke. Never coming here again!!! Ps: I wouldn't of been as mad as I was if there was any communication involved. I know people screw up but when I'm waiting for almost an hour and don't hear anything from my server, is just horrible service in my eyes. read more

This was my third visit. Pluses--more vegan options added to menu. Minuses--our meat eating guests were less than thrilled with the soggy so-called truffle fries and their burgers. I ordered a vegan version of chopped salad, was served one with egg, and then given one without all the ingredients listed on the menu. The new chef has changed the recipe for the inspired vegan white bean and chard soup--it was better before--simpler, and the taste of the ingredients was truer. Some really hard to find craft and micro ales on tap, most which are local. Also a few brews named for the place, bit not brewed in house. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable! I have eaten there in the past and the food is fair at best. But this was the last straw and we left after an hour with no food. They need new management and a new chef. I really like the ambiance of this bar, the food is decent and the beer selection is pretty solid. My only complaint would be our bartender/server's, Cary, attitude. He honestly kind of ruined our experience when his attitude and lack of presence throughout our meal/when asking for the bill became the main topic of conversation! I would give this restaurant more stars, if not for the very rude waitress with the auburn hair I encountered on a Monday night. So unfriendly to our party. Made us feel very uncomfortable. At first I thought maybe it was all in my head, but then I saw her smiling at and being friendly with other customers. So I don't know why she was so stone-faced and unfriendly to me and my party, as we were polite to her and we said please and thank you to her whenever she came around. She refilled our water glasses in silence. Not a smile or even a response when WE said thank you to her. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant, nor have the others in my party. It was really weird. This is not the way to treat customers. I wish I hadn't given her a tip. This place has so much potential, but the service is so slow and food not worth the wait. We've given them several opportunities for lunch and dinner, yet the results are the same. Worst yet, Tuning Fork servers don't seem to think people in your party like to eat together. After waiting for your order entrees arrive sparadically and not at the same time. This place has a real staffing problem and it's killing anything positive coming out of the kitchen. Last point, OPEN MIC NIGHT on Monday's is painful in such a small place. Mac and Cheese balls were a bit oily, but it was still delicious. Salmon sliders were very flavorful...I was too busy eatting to ask, but I think I tasted a hint of fig jam? Capo Logo Burger was great, but quite filling and the truffle fries are amazing (I love ultra thin crisp fries!).
