Brews Brothers is a great choice if you're going to be heading the Hollywood Bowl and using their shuttle service on Ventura Blvd in Studio City. The place itself is no frills, they offer great service, good food and a good space to hang with friends. The space has about 5 large tables and seating at the bar. The space is medium size with a majority of their seating space outside. Unfortunately it was over 100 degrees that day and their A/C barely cooled the place. Either way, we toughed it out and had a great time. We ordered margaritas to help cool us down and my friend tried their stout. They were great! We tried a few of their appetizers, we ordered the Jalapeno Peppers, Fried Pickles, Jidori Wings, Beef Brisket Tacos and fries. The wings were the star of the show, they were really tasty. Next time I'm in the area, I will make my way back to Brews Brothers for those wings! read more

I used to love this place when it was Stout. I tried it once when it became Pour Decisions. I didn't have a good experience, but decided that it could have been a one-time bad luck thing, so I didn't review. I recently tried it again now that it became Brews Brothers, and I'm sorry to say that it really misses the mark for me. Here is the breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: One star for friendly service and being dog friendly. One star for good alcohol. Cons: - Seating is very uncomfortable. When this place was Stout, seating was very comfy. But for some reason, they've raised the bench seating WAY too high, to the point that your feet dangle if you're under 5'6". You're WAY above the table, and it's awkward and quite uncomfortable. - Food is sub-par. We tried an Okie burger and an ahi sandwich. The Okie burger was dry, tasteless, and underseasoned. The ahi sandwich was bland and unremarkable. The fries were far too overbreaded for my taste. I used to love this place, but now, after two not-great experiences with meh food and bad seating, I do not think I'll be back. Please, guys! Lower your bench seating and improve your burgers! You're competing with Forman's and Laurel Tavern! read more

The only good thing about this place was the servers ( bartenders). The place looks like they don't want to do any renovation because they are closing the place. The food very mediocre, tasted like frozen microwave warmed up. We were exactly 15 mins behind for our reservation and they had given our table away, understandable because it was the Super Bowl and they were very busy! But the manager immediately accommodated us at the bar right in front of the TV, which is exactly where I wanted to sit. They also gave us a delicious glass of beer and cider on the house! SO GOOD. Love that theres a tiny parking lot (and even more parking in the plazas across) and love that theres no wait even on a Saturday night around 7pm. Everything was delicious - even the items that I didn't expect to be good such as the poke nachos and the brisket eggroll. Perfectly crispy and flavorful. The cali smashburger, albeit pricey at $19, was a big portion, and I had to take half of it home. Was not a fan of their purple rain (mocktail, so it was made w/ kombucha) tho. So happy to have tried this place! My wife and I were regulars at Laurel Tavern for years, but they've really been awful lately, so we ventured a little further down the road and we're really glad we did! Food was quite good. We started with the Brussells sprouts, which were excellent. I had the mushroom smash burger - also excellent - and my wife had the ahi tuna/wild rice poke bowl which she liked very much. The burger came with a side of fries that were very good and a large enough serving for two people. Long, long list of beers with some awesome selections. And the service was spot on. Chicken wings were supposed to be buffalo flavor but they came out completely dry with no dressing or seasoning on them. It was impossible to flag down any of the servers and we had to ask for our check and takeout box multiple times. At one point another patron literally had to help me flag down a server to ask for more ranch to help the food not be as dry (and they charged for the extra ranch). The mushroom protein did not taste seasoned at all. There was so much of it too that I couldn't taste the flavors from everything else in the wrap. It comes with fries too which were super delicious. Very crispy and seasoned well. Clearly Deceased - Great beer. Good amount for the price. The interior had loads of screens everywhere. Seems like a good place to watch a game. It's actually a really good space. A lot of seating and there's a large table with a fire pit in the center where we sat. We went on trivia night and it was actually a lot of fun. Our server was nice and she recommended a few items for us. One of them being the wings with the Carolina gold sauce. I would definitely go back for those wings and the fries but everything else fell flat to us. The salad was not it, the Brussel sprouts were dry, the Bavarian pretzel was good when it first came fresh out but after that it was dry. The seating can be a little uncomfortable as the 'booths' are a little too high and the tables low. Don't remember if Stout was this way but if it was, it was uncomfortable back then too haha Now to the food- we ordered all three food items offered on their brunch menu. The breakfast smash burger was actually delicious. By far my favorite item and one I will return for. Their brisket hash was good and their breakfast burrito was mediocre. I've had bigger/tastier breakfast burritos from a donut shop cost half the price of theirs. Basically the burrito can use a little makeover. Their brisket egg rolls are a must order! Two pieces come in 1 order and I'll tell you it's worth ordering two. They are that great. I also love their drink options. Great vibe, good cocktails and snacks, attentive service. Just a head's up, there is NOT a patio here, as is mentioned on the Yelp page currently. The windows open up and it's airy, but if you're looking for al fresco dining (especially with a furry friend), it's not here. My husband and I are Brews Brothers (same owners) regulars who came for the soft opening at Pour Decisions. We really liked the previous place here (Stout) and really love what they've done to revamp the space with new wood everywhere. An appetizing arrangement of food awaits you in this very lovely spot of studio city. I've been craving a place to grab bar food and this place had a pretzel that came with some wonderfully paired sauces and it was fantastic. Our waiter was quick to reccomend it and with good reason. My chicken buffalo sandwich was much spicier than I expected (This is a good thing for me personally) and made my mouth dance with heat. I also ordered a moscow mule that wasn't personally my favorite through no fault but my own considering I'm very picky about my ginger beer but it was refreshing nonetheless.
