signage from outside. Pretty unique: fork, knife, and the spoon. Original name for a restaurant.

I have been to Tuning Fork back in 2017 for lunch. A lot has changed since then. Last night my spiritual friend and I decided to go there in the evening around 7pm to listen to some fine jazz/blues music, and have dinner. We shared a Truffled Mushroom Burger, ESW salad, Sangria, and water. The Truffled Mushroom Burger came with Menage aú mushroom, goat cheese, tomato, pickles, imported truffle oil & goddess aioli. The ESW salad came with lots of good, fresh, healthy, vegetables. They are: field greens, avocado, heirloom tomatoes, red onion, corn, grilled asparagus, hothouse cucumber, edamame, crispy tortilla strips, cashews and vinaigrette dressing, I opted for ranch and no cashews. $18.00 for the salad, and there was a price difference by $6.50 in the Truffle burger. They charged me $28.50 for our burger, when on their website it says $22.00. I am not going to dock a star for that, but they need to get the price right. Is it $28.50 or is it $22.00.? Food tasted fresh, healthy, not oily, and not salty. It was pretty good and the portions were fair. Not too big and not too small.Very filling though. Our burger came with shoe strings fries, which was good and they charged an additional$2.00. Sangria was not too strong and had a good kick to it, and it was pretty refreshing. $9.00. Great live music. Bands name was BARRY BIG B. BRENNER. Great musicians and they truly delivered for 2 hours straight. Ambiance was cool, chill, dim lights, interior of the restaurant was wood. Tables/chairs, mirrors on the walls, art work of many different kinds, candles on the tables, a nice bar, cute, small patio outside, clean restroom and last but not least a great service by Vivian and Karla. Vivian had a very good vibe, upbeat energy which what I was looking for.Karla had a sweet smile that was pleasant. It was not crowded at all for a Friday night. So we kind of went with our own pace. They have couple of spots of parking in the back, but I parked on the street. Overall a great experience, a little pricy for my budget. Will return again when I have some $$ in my pocket! Will post photos when I get a minute.

As a local, this is the 1st time I ordered pizza and was impressed enough to review. Don't sleep on it! Pizza has an ephemeral quality I can't put my finger on, but exactly what you crave. I think it's the sauce? Complex and elevates everything. Crispy char on pepperoni hits sweet spot many places don't nail. Crust is suitably thin/chewy, but more neutral delivery than elevating. Not enough to downgrade, but can be touched up. We don't have a lot of pizza options in this area, so this is in the top 2 along with Joe's.

Great place for an appetizer & drink, pre-live music. Love the beachy vibe & staff. Very friendly & accommodating, truffle fries are awesome & sangria was refreshing. Ellie from a prior visit was great as well. It is a small venue & bands play around 7, good music but loud so if that is not your thing, go before & experience a more tranquil venue.

Smokehouse tacos. I wolfed them down too quick! This comes with 3 tacos and they are kind of small but mighty! Must try 10/10

Ambience was unexplainable! The Dee Jay was spinning records I. The dim light of a cozy atmosphere with sensational food and drinks! A fantastic way to wind down after a long week! Don't cheat yourself... treat yourself! Service was great, don't be in a rush because you will want to savor each moment!

Loving the live music at tuning fork! Good food and good vibes.

Came here for the first time and had such a good time. They had a live blues band playing which they do every Sunday. I believe they have live music every night which is pretty cool and definitely amps up the whole experience. They are amazing and truly talented. Lightenin willy is pretty well known and Pete Anderson is a big musical director and manager and plays the guitar in the group. The owner of the restaurant plays the drums which is so cool! They added to the ambiance for sure. I got the truffle burger and truffle fries. The burger was super juicy and they grind all of their own meat which you can tell. Super fresh. The truffles fries were absolutely heaven. I dipped in their homemade ranch/blue cheese dressing. Such a good combo. The server/bartender Josh made some good recommendations with wine. He was super nice and friendly. They have a great selection of beer on tap and different wines by the glass. I was impressed at their wide selection. They make their own potato chips and those were also super yummy. Would definitely recommend for a fun and funky meal with a jam sesh! *a small but big plus they have purse hooks under the bar! Amazing!

Perfectly friendly staff, but am missing the recently discontinued Happy Hour. The food is decent, but $20 for a burger stresses me out.

Is there live music Friday nights?

I know there's music at least once a week and last time I was there, a Grammy winner was going to play. It was a Tuesday, so I think perhaps days change but they definitely support music. A great burger

Rather than erase what came before it, the team seems to have understood the character of the room and built upon it. The bones are still there, but the atmosphere feels entirely its own. It's a reminder that great hospitality isn't always about reinventing a space. Sometimes it's about recognizing what already works and having the good sense to let it shine. The experience itself was remarkably seamless. Drinks arrived quickly, food followed with impressive timing, and every interaction felt genuine and unforced. There is an ease to the operation that can only come from a team that is both confident and deeply invested in what they do. The room carries a warmth that is increasingly rare. Good lighting, good energy, good music, and a staff that understands hospitality is as much about making people feel comfortable as it is about serving food and drinks. Nothing feels rushed, yet everything moves with purpose. Los Angeles has no shortage of places competing for attention. Oy Bar doesn't need to. It has something far more difficult to create: a sense of place. The kind that makes you want to stay for one more drink, linger a little longer, and start planning your next visit before you've even left.

Corn Ravioli - very nice, sweet, not even a super big fan of corn flavored things although I think they are nice in asian snacks that I often see (usually Korean or Japanese). Similar parallel if that makes sense. Hamachi was recommended, 10/10, very flavorful, intense mixture of things, would order. Meatballs were solid, saw they were recommended. Not the mind blowing but a good substantive item compared to the rest.

Definitely make a reservation, weekdays are chill, but weekends get busy in the best way. The ambience is what really makes it stand out. It genuinely feels like you've stepped into Tulum the dim lighting, earthy tones, and that effortlessly elevated vibe that makes you want to stay all night. The food is solid (seriously, order the pasta), and getting there isn't a hassle with both valet and street parking options. I do wish they had something going on earlier in the week though, because a Monday night here is underrated and deserves more hype. Drinks are a highlight too. My go-to is the "Divorce Papers"--just trust me on that one. And the service? That's where they really separate themselves. Narek runs the place in a way you don't see often always present, always aware, making sure everything flows smoothly without missing a beat. It creates an experience that feels taken care of without being over the top. Overall, it's a true go-to right now. Great crowd, great music, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. I visited Rouge last weekend to celebrate my friend's birthday. Before this visit, I had been here…read more4-5 times and always had a great experience, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. The biggest issue was the service. Everything took a very long time, and our server was not particularly welcoming or attentive. Every time we requested assistance with our hookah, we waited around 40-50 minutes for someone to come over. We ordered two hookahs. Unfortunately, one was accidentally knocked over and became unusable. We asked if it would be possible to get a paid refill, but were told the only option was to purchase a completely new hookah at full price, which we did. We then requested a refill for the second hookah because it had lost its flavor. We were told they would first replace the coals and come back later for the refill. While we appreciated not being charged for it in the end, we still wanted the refill because there was no flavor left. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting about an hour before it was finally done. The refill was eventually provided free of charge, which was appreciated, but it did not change the fact that we spent most of the evening waiting for service. What made the delays even more frustrating was that the restaurant was not fully busy. By the end of the evening, our entire section had only our table remaining, yet we were still waiting long periods of time whenever we needed assistance. Another issue was the automatic gratuity policy. Before visiting, we checked the restaurant's website, which stated that a service fee is automatically added for parties of 6 or more. However, the printed menu at the restaurant stated that it applies to parties of 5 or more, which we did not notice at the time. Since we were not satisfied with the service, we had planned to leave only a small tip. Instead, we later realized that an 18% gratuity had already been added to the bill. While this was ultimately our mistake for not noticing the policy in the menu, it was still an unpleasant surprise, especially considering the level of service we received. The food and atmosphere were still good, but overall this was by far the weakest experience I've had here. I've enjoyed my previous visits, which is why this experience stood out so much. Unfortunately, it did not feel like the level of service we expected for a birthday celebration.
