Good food with good staff. They have a big variety of food options. We got Thai dishes and they were amazing! Great flavor and good portion size.

The food here was really great! I had the pad Thai noodles with chicken and it was packed with flavor! They didn't serve sushi at the time we went which was a bummer but still the noodles definitely saved the day. The service was good as they served water right when we sit down, the atmosphere itself is also nice, makes it feel like an authentic Thai place. Definitely come here and give it a shot!

Be patient, your food will be hot and delicious!

It's New Year's Day, and nothing is open, and it's only 7pm! Partied all night, slept all day; you know the drill! Bright lights and OPEN sign cutting into the night air. Yes! I already know what I want and the attendant deals with me as she pours water for people that are sitting in the restaurant! The ambience is nice, the mood is calm, my food is blazing hot, when I get it home! Pad Thai chicken hit the spot, every time. I wish they would put peanuts on it, but with all the allergic people, it's not worth the hassle. Great taste, texture, and heat! Good thing, I just live a fee blocks away! Don't forget your chopsticks!

Tup tim rolls were deliciously light and crunchy with a vinegar sauce. Beef noodle soup (pho-style) was great with a rich broth, but could have used a larger portion of beef. Service was quick and attentive, always kept our waters filled. Quiet ambiance with a dog friendly patio on the street. Overall a great, local-feeling spot with delicious food and nice servers!

Came here with my roommate right before the end of the semester and enjoyed a great meal here! I had been here once before with my mom. We really liked the food here and thought it was very yummy! With that being said, I was super excited to finally return with my roommate. It wasn't super busy when we went for lunch, but the service was just as good as I remembered. They are understaffed, but they do a great job trying to keep up with everyone. Our waiter was the sweetest and I thought she did an excellent job! She was actually the same one from my last visit. Located in Midtown, it is right by campus which is super convenient. But if you do have a car, it could be tricky finding a parking space. We ended up ordering the lunch size Beef Pad See Ew and some sushi. I have never had their sushi, but remembered their noodle dishes being really good! The Pad Sew Ew was consisted of stir fried flat rice noodles with egg, carrots, and broccoli in a brown sauce with beef. Really, really loved the savory flavors of this dish. The noodles were cooked nicely, the beef was flavorful and tender, the vegetables were cooked well, and the dish itself wasn't overly saucy. Very good and we both really liked it. It also was the perfect size for the two of us to split! For our sushi, my roommate ended up ordering some nigiri while I ordered a specialty roll and some seaweed salad. I landed on the Three Knights Roll which included tuna, salmon, cucumber, avocado, topped with yellowtail, tobiko, eel sauce, and spicy kimchi sauce. This roll was really tasty and balanced. There wasn't too much rice or too much sauce. I thought they put a nice amount of fish in the roll as well. My roommate and I agreed the fish was very fresh as well I was impressed with the sushi and wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was! Might become our sushi spot in Midtown from here on out. Overall, Tup Tim Thai didn't disappoint and we left very satisfied with our meal. The service is great and our waiter did a wonderful job and was attentive. I really enjoy the atmosphere too, I think it completes the experience when dining here. The food was just as good as I remembered. The Pad See Ew was balanced, with the right amount of noodles, sauce, meat, and vegetables. We both thoroughly enjoyed our sushi and were impressed with the freshness of it as well as the presentation. With that being said, we 100% will be returning. I think this is the best place to grab Asian food in Midtown by far!!

Miso Soup
Michael S.

The quantity of food included in the lunch special is very good for the cost. I ordered the chicken hibachi and absolutely loved the presentation. The addition of 2 gyoza was a nice touch and they were quite delicious. The rice and vegetables were prepared beautifully and were full of flavor. The chicken was a bit over cooked and as a result was a little dry. I finished the water I was drinking and it took several minutes before the waitress came and refilled it.

Miso soup

So I stopped in here late Friday night to indulge in my latest craving, drunken noodles. There were not many people dining in however, the foot traffic consisted of locals and students did using a delivery service or takeout as it's very close to campus. The interior was clean and decorated with different trinkets that represented the Asian culture/aesthetics. I glanced over the menu which had a great variety of traditional Thai dishes to sushi. I went with miso soup and drunken noodles with fried tofu as my protein. The servers were nice and helpful. The miso was very light and good. I like that it small pieces of tofu unlike most miso soups that have larger tofu pieces in it. I have to say the portion sizes here are huge but for a great price. The drunken noodles were delicious! The sauce was a great balance of that sweet and spicy flavor . The chewy noodles and fresh veggies were coated perfectly in that amazing sauce as well. The fried tofu was so good too. It soaked up the sauce and I really couldn't stop eating it. I did end up getting my soup and noodles to go because the portions were big. I spent about $19 after tax, which was not bad. Overall, I will definitely make another trip here to Tup Tim as the food was very fresh and tasty, and the portion size in addition to the price were great.

Chicken Pad See Ew
Lili T.

It wasn't the absolute best sushi or Thai food I've ever had, but still really good! You get a good portion for the price. I liked that the pad thai was tangier than most places I've tried. I recommend going for hot if you're looking for some heat beyond just a little kick. I think they were understaffed when we went. The waitresses were amazing and doing their best, but the service and food came out a bit slower than what I would've liked. The ambiance is fine with ample seating. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but it can fill up on a busy night so plan ahead.

Panang curry
Tim J.

Decided to check this place out. It is located in the downtown of Gainesville and they have a small parking lot reserved for the restaurant itself. We came here for lunch and decided to try their panang curry and pad see ew, which are two of the common Thai dishes. The Pad see ew was little too salty but ingredients were fresh. The panang curry on the other hand was a bit bland. For the price point, I think the place is a good Thai restaurant to consider checking out. Will come back to try more foods!

Made a quick stop at this cute little Thai place in Gainesville with some friends. We could not stop eating and complimenting how great the food was throughout our experience. Wish they were serving their sushi for the day but will definitely be back to try it the next time. Service was great too!

Tom yum chicken soup and plenty of nice cold water.

I got the tom yum chicken soup and chicken pad see ew noodles and everything was excellent tasting and fresh. Service was great and the inside was nicely decorated. Prices were fair. I would love to come back next time I am in town.

This place is always incredible. My favorite restaurant in Gainesville. I recommend the Tom Kha soup (Tom Kha Gai) and the Pad Thai but everything I've tried is mouthwatering. The employees there are very kind and it has a nice, chill vibe with somewhat dim lighting, which is a huge plus for me.

Some of the best pad thai I've ever had. I order it often. The red curry was okay, and the crab rangoon and dumplings were very yummy.

I am so glad I tried this place out today. Soup was included too. It was a decent size bowl with generous portions of each mentioned fish. It tasted mostly fresh, with the uni having the premium silky flavor, the ikura having the briny pop, and the scallops having the buttery texture with a hint of lemon since they sliced it. The rice was flavorful with the added seasonings. It was definitely a luxury splurge. And best of all, it was a great deal for only 30 dollars. The soup was nothing special, but still refreshing and enjoyable. The service was pretty casual, but quick and friendly. The atmosphere is very casual with a limited amount of tables, and the sushi bar is pretty small. When you enter, you would think it was just a counter service or takeout restaurant. At least there was nice Japanese music in the background. This restaurant is a great example of why you shouldn't judge it by it's atmosphere. While it looks so casual and a little boring, their Hokkaido bowl makes it feel luxurious. It was well worth the splurge and such a great deal for 30 dollars. I will definitely eat here again whenever I visit Gainesville, and try their Mahzu don next time, which uses other higher end fishes they have. Overall: A

We arrived later on a Saturday night craving hibachi and sushi, and it definitely hit the spot. I ordered the steak hibachi with fried rice, and my husband went with the lobster roll. My meal started with a cup of miso soup and if you follow our adventures you know I love miso. They did not disappoint. It was hot, flavorful, and tasted freshly made with good ingredients. For a drink I ordered a Long Drink. We first tried these at a local festival and fell in love, so when we saw a citrus flavor we had never tried before we were excited to order it. My hibachi came out hot and smelled amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce mixed into the rice was really good. I do wish they gave just a little extra sauce for the rice. The rice itself was a bit stiff, but the sauce helped a lot. We also came about an hour before closing, so we were not too bothered by that. Our waitress was good, and her coworker stepped in to help when she was busy, which we appreciated. I also liked that you can see the sushi chefs working right there, and my husband really enjoyed his roll. The restaurant was very clean, including the bathrooms, which always matters. I also have to mention the water because it actually tasted good. If you know, you know how rare that can be. They also have plenty of parking, which makes things easy. Overall we had a great experience and it was the perfect spot for a much needed date night.

My wife got the spicy seafood soup, which was very good.I tried a little bit of that as well. I can see why all the reviews were really good. Its definitely one of my top 3 now!!

Old music videos I've never even seen before were playing which was cool. Though americanized, the sushi was good. The green tea we were served was delectable. Some recommendations for this business: 1.) It needs more sushi options. Almost everything on the menu is tempura-based, which made it kinda boring. More sushi featuring raw fish would improve the menu vastly. 2.) It needs a larger menu in general. I felt my options were very limited taste-wise which was kind of disappointing--though everything was delicious. If the business owner reads this, here are some roll ideas that would up the menu: Surfin' USA: raw tuna, yellowtail, salmon, wakame salad topped with sliced mango and spicy mayo Black betty: Smoked eel and cream cheese wrapped in black soy paper topped with scallop and black tobiko These are just two I came up with, but the theme of this restaurant holds SO much potential for interesting rolls based off of songs/bands.
