Chicken Gyro combo plate and a beef sambusa for $40
    Anthony J.

I came here for lunch at the Solana Beach Fiesta Del Sol. All I ordered was a combo plate and 1 sambusa for a total of $40 . The samosa tasted really good but the chicken and rice was very dry. There were other vendors that were also probably overcharging as well but $40 for ok food seems ridiculous. Also the prices aren't posted on the menu which seemed strange, the lady running the cashier only told me my total as I handed over my card.

    Rice, hummus, salad, etc.

We had a fabulous office lunch for 40 people catered in today by Zaid/Dave. Kabobs, rice, salad, humus, pita, lots of veggies, etc. with only 48 hour notice! He goes above and beyond our expectations! Excellent service and quality of food. Great communication and always on time which is extremely important for business luncheons. I will continue to use and highly recommend!

I ran into the Turkish Grill at the new Mission Valley Farmers Market on Saturday. I had a large chicken filled Turkish Samosa for $6.99. The samosa was good. However, I did feel that it was over breaded or thicker than it needed to be. The chicken inside was tasty and they put a good amount inside the samosa. I liked the Turkish seasonings they used. The sauces they drizzled onto the samosa were very tasty. I would of rather had them on the side, but I was unaware that they were going to drizzle it on top. Customer service was very friendly ad up beat. In addition the the Mission Valley Farmer's Market, you can also find them at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market on Sundays, Oceanside on Thursdays, and Little Italy on Wednesdays.

A lot of y'all don't understand New England Roast Beef sandwiches and it shows…read more The good: * OMGosh the sandwiches are unbelievable. The owner makes the meat all from scratch. All you naysayers saying "fillers... premade...", just look to your right when you order - you'll see a fridge full of WHOLE roasts, wrapped and ready to be made. * Owner is regularly working the shop and you can tell he loves what he does. Super friendly and patient to walk you through the menu. * That French dip is a MUST try. Crispy sesame bun outside, cheesy and meaty inside. I'll be dreaming about it. * Biggest surprise - those fries! Best curly fries in SD hands down. It is what it is: * Yes, it's pricey. $20ish a sandwich. But weighing it all out, you get what you pay for. You're going to pay $4 less for a little sub down the street with an EIGHTH of the meat (and that stuff down the street isn't home made). * No inside seating. 4ish tables out front available to sit and eat at. * This is best fresh, for sure. Don't expect a good reheat experience. The bad: * Parking sucks. It PB so it's all paid parking. * Restrooms are not close. Verdict: * Phenomenal premium sandwiches that are worth every penny if you understand New England Roast Beef. He's doing it better than most on the east coast.

It's easily one of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots in PB whether I'm grabbing something quickly on my way to work or having a cute morning brunch with the girls. The food is always fresh and delicious, everything is beautifully presented, and the staff is always so sweet and helpful. The space itself is on the smaller side with both indoor and outdoor seating, but that's honestly part of its charm. It's cozy, intimate, and almost feels like you're going over to someone's cute house for breakfast. It's one of my favorite spots for a morning with the girls or even a birthday brunch. My two favorites are definitely the protein pancakes and the chicken tacos with coleslaw instead of beans they honestly fight for the #1 spot depending on the day I also love the pesto eggplant sandwich, mahi tacos, and chilaquiles. And if you love tacos, definitely come on a Tuesday because they're 50% off for Taco Tuesday! As a personal trainer, one of the things I appreciate most is that they list the protein content of different menu items. I recommend Armonia to my clients all the time because it's somewhere you can find nutritious, balanced options that actually taste amazing. They also make it super easy to order online and grab something between clients or on my way to work. I love supporting a small local business that has become such a staple in my routine. After all these years, it's still one of my absolute favorite spots in Pacific Beach

I came here on a whim--I was seeking a vegan breakfast burrito and decided to give it a try. I…read moredidn't get a chance to read others reviews first but did notice that they had a stellar Yelp rating, so here goes: Armonía Kitchen has a cute little cafe like feel to it. You walk up and order at the counter and then take a seat. Space is very limited inside--one or two high tops and a few regular tables. They also offer outdoor seating with a nice patina garden vibe out front adjacent to Garnet. I was a little confused by the menu and asked if it was a vegan restaurant. They explained it is not but that they have plenty of plant based options. I ordered the mushroom carnitas Skinny Burritos and a Chaga Latte. The burritos were good but not what I expected. They are smaller burritos (yet very filling--one was more than enough for me). Very savory. My brain was confused though. Don't get me wrong, they were tasty, but there is something I can't put my finger on that didn't work for me. The ingredients were all very fresh and love the fact there was guacamole included in the burritos. The Chaga Latte was among the best I've had. They make their own Chaga powder here and I could feel the difference. It was a little sweet for my taste but the mushrooms were potent and I felt great after just a few sips. The heart decor was a nice added touch. People all around me to amazing looking pancake, bowls and egg dishes. I will definitely return to try again and see if we can add one more star!
