This is a very small store with no dine-in option. On the side, they have a small convenience store for Indian condiments. Order through phone and pickup here works especially for the price. Their goat roast is nice along with goat biryani. Mostly we got fresh ones, however, they do have long wait time due to a large number of orders most of the time that keeps them busy. Not the very welcoming staff but can't expect from such a small store that is short-staffed and always on the run. For the food & the price, we would always return here. read more

I visited after quite sometime ago again today , want to order for fish fry on the counter . But the cashier said someone ordered already , I don't understand what kind of food sales is that , We spent time and come to store and order . Why you need to keep on phone orders in display !! You should have taken out from s display than ? This is insane .. No tea was available, last time cashier said chargeable and I paid for it , today the cashier said free for customers which is suprise !! The customer on the front was asked for phone number for rewards , nothing was asked for me while billing!! Whom your targeting your sales?? Is it for public or limited customers! We've ordered take out from this spot a few times and each time it was good but this time it was like what happened? We ordered their biryani, chicken tikka masala, paneer 555, dal makhni and paneer tikka masala. Out of all the items the appetizer was the best item. Best Indian food for the price so far, no complaints. I've been to many Indian restaurants around Maricopa County and this grocery store can compete with the best of them. I had a samosa, vegetable biryani, chicken vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. Chicken vindaloo had great flavor and heat and was my favorite of the night. Living in south side of chandler there was this negative side that there is no Indian grocery store. We had to either rely on Lee Lee or Lotus in Mesa. A blessing truly is this grocery store, it came up Just at your back around Ocotillo area of Chandler. The store carries all the grocery items required for Indian cooking and even has its own Takeaway restaurant. The food cost is on the lower side and the taste is average. You see a huge crowd over the weekends for their food and groceries. They do tele shopping for you even deliver to your doorstep. This is a take-out restaurant only with a little grocery store...very little. The service is friendly and the food is excellent. I didn't know what to order and don't know what anything is so I was lucky that one of my Indian neighbors was there to help. Whatever I got, it was so great. There are lots of complaints that the food is too spicy but I really could have handled quite a bit more spice in mine. I didn't mind that it wasn't spicy, though, because the flavor was so good. It does take them a while to make the food but that's probably because they are actually making it and not reheating it. Anyway, perhaps they were friendly because I'm super friendly and in the time that they were making the food, I went to Walgreens and ran a quick errand. Ordered take out twice, asked for mild level of spicyness but was told by male cashier they only serve medium level and up but not mild. Food was very flavorful but extremely spicy. Wish they would offer MILD. We have not been back for this reason. Customer service is totally lacking. Called several times to place order but no one pick up. Came in and placed order to pick up at a later time but when we return for pick up, our food was not ready. Found out they misplaced our order and did not even make our food. We had to return a 2nd time in 40-45 minutes to pick up our order. No apology given. On our 2nd visit, we went in on a Monday to order take out just to find out that their prices are much higher than weekend prices. No mention anywhere about this except if you follow them on Facebook, then you will see their weekend specials. Must say their weekend pricing is great except that their food is extremely spicy! This place is AMAZING! I love how it's a grocery store/restaurant (to go orders only) I really love mango lassis, and in the fridge section they sell lassi, and mango drink so I can make my own! This is hands down the best desi food in the valley. Call and place your order for pick up because it gets very busy and crowded. There is no place to sit inside so you can only do take out. We got the chicken 65 biryani, daal makhani, paneer butter masala, and mughalai chicken. The mughalai chicken was so so. Probably wouldn't order it again. The other 3 dishes were fantastic. Chicken 65 is clearly where Turmeric Express shines. People were coming in and just getting orders of this, and I understand why. The chicken is perfectly crispy with a delicious and spicy masala coating each piece. They do not skimp on the masala or the spice, which is amazing. The paneer butter masala had so many chunks of paneer throughout. The sauce was creamy and luscious. It was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. We will absolutely be ordering this again. The daal makhani was a family favorite. The addition of rajma in the daal was a nice twist. It was creamy, hearty, spicy, and flavorful. We will absolutely be back. Downside is how dirty the store is. It definitely seems like they're understaffed and can't get around to sweeping the floors and wiping everything down. read more

They have amazing food. Best chicken 65 biryani and yummy samosas and chutney. A hidden gem. Ram babbu makes such delicious dishes and I love his fun and friendly personality. He always smiles and is so kind. The owner is very nice. He always is around and helps you personally if you need anything. While you have a delicious meal you can do your grocery shopping as well. Wow! What a Surprise this little Indian store/restauant turned out to be. The food is absolutely incredible!!! (for take out only). As good or better than any Indian restaurant I have tried in the valley and probably a better price than all of them combined. If you love Indian food this is a place for you. I was skeptical at first, but this is truly a hidden gem. The wait time is a little long, so I recommend calling ahead if you know their menu, but the wait is definitely worth it. We ordered the butter chicken, paneer biryani, chicken manchuria, and goat curry; they were quite spicy but exceeded our expectations nonetheless. We even bought some frozen garlic naan at the back of the store to warm up at home and they were the perfect addition to our dishes. Even though they don't have a restaurant, or a place to sit and eat their food Yelp should include this place in their restaurant section- as their food is seriously better than any Indian restaurant around and believe me I have tried them all! The prices are incredible and their rice mixture is so colorful and tasty, best paneer tikka masala ever!!! I hope they can maintain their consistency as they set a pretty high bar with the last meal I ate from there.
