I've been living under a rock, not knowing I love just a few minutes from this Lee Lee International Supermarket. My sister had gone in the day before to get some stuff before she went home to the boonies. I got jelly when she sent me a pic of the lychee viral ice cream!! You KNOW I had to get it, so off I went, lol. Not only did I find them in stock, but they had a sale going. 2 boxes for $20. Regular price is $10.99/box, so it's not a while lot of savings, but hey, I'll take it! Plus, $10.99 is the cheapest I've seen locally for a box of 3! I let the secret out so now I can only hope they still have some next time I go! When I checked out, I asked the cashier how long the 2 for $20 deal was going on. She didn't know, so grab some.while you can. I share because I care! =) I was glad to see the store has wide aisles and wasn't crowded. Also, there's a big parking lot shared with neighboring businesses so it's not an issue. The store is clean and the employees get you in and out fast! Can't wait for my next run! read more

So I have a 50/50 love/ hate relationship with this store. What i love is that I can buy foods from my families home countries as they have a great Polish/Russian Euro selection of products from cakes , cevapi, kabanosy, caviar, saurkraut, pate pudding mixes to cheeses and kefirs. I also get meat and fish there as they are nice and fresh. You can still get ground beef for 1.99lb fresh fish that still swimming and they clean and cut it for you. Lots of aisles of products from other countries like Holland India Africa and of course their specialty Asian cultures. They recently updated the store so lots of lighting and clean neatly organized shelves. What i dont like is that 1. the tags on the shelves don't match the scanned price so anything i buy in the aisles I take pictures of and have them correct it. 2. The staff is not friendly at all. Not even to each other I was watching 2 staff members yelling at each other at the register. Even patrons stopped to watch. read more

3+/4- This is a neat grocery store in Chandler. It has hard-to-find international ingredients and their aisles are set up by country. Super helpful, and you can find pretty much any sauce or spice you need. Unfortunately, the store is dated. The lights are more dimmed and the smell near the seafood section can be pretty bad. This place could use a deep clean. I originally went in for baked goods, but I wanted to see what this store has to offer. Definitely worth it for the rare food items, just don't expect fancy. read more

I like this market because it has what so many others don't offer! Specialized ingredients especially when you're cooking south East Asian food! They've got great prices, and so many cool items to chose from. I've been here a few times so figured I should write a review. There are no Asian markets in my area so when I'm near one, I like to stop in and see what they have. This one is fairly large but I've only stuck to browsing a few aisles of interest, so not sure what all they have. I did notice they have products from a variety of countries including those in South Asia like India and Pakistan. I come for the rice crackers and mochi, and the rice crackers (Bin Bin brand) are a good price and satisfy my cravings. I like to share them with friends (family don't care for them - too sweet). The mochi flavors have been hit or miss: I grabbed the maple pancake one on my last visit and it tasted as expected, good stuff. Some of the other flavors have been lackluster, depending on the brand. I'm sure they have lots of other items to purchase but I stick to the snacks for now. I always park in the spots to the right of the market and haven't had issues. There's also a great boba spot within walking distance, so that's another place I like to frequent. Update: LeeLee International Supermarket is absolutely a five-star stop... even if it takes me over an hour to make my way through the aisles. And yes, I went up and down every single one, as I do every time. This place has produce and ingredients I simply can't find anywhere else... and that alone makes it a gem. From spices to snacks, to unfamiliar fruits and vegetables, LeeLee's is stocked with a wide range of options across cultures and cuisines. Some aisles are organized by region (which is super helpful), while others are more of a global mix and sometimes, what the aisle sign says isn't exactly what you'll find there. It's part of the treasure hunt vibe. Be prepared for repeat products showing up in different areas because of regional brands, and for packaging that's primarily in the native language of origin, though I did notice that many items have at least some English. You just have to look closely. For me, that's part of the experience... both exciting and a bit overwhelming. I'll admit, there's a slight language barrier with some staff, which can be a little awkward but I don't expect anyone to speak English just because I do. It's a small trade-off for shopping in a space that honors so many cultures. LeeLee's isn't on my usual route, but I was nearby, saw it, and had to go in. I left with a bag full of new-to-me items I'm super excited to try. This market is exactly the kind of place that makes exploring food fun again. read more

From my last review, it seems like they had become better with more variety and good pricing; but since then until now, it seems like they changed management and it has been terrible ever since. They don't sell good variety of things anymore and I feel like their shelves are more empty than full. The meat department now has a smell to it and it just doesn't seem clean like it used to be. A lot of the food are really disorganized and you really don't know where you would think things are and it's somewhere completely different. People there are not as friendly or helpful. Asking someone there about where something is located is kind of useless because even they don't know. I rather shop at Mekong at this point. read more

Still my favorite sandwich when I pass through Chandler. #11 skip the pate, jalapeños and soy sauce for a simple sandwich, baguette is great, but try it on a croissant. Service was fast and friendly. A ton of seating and a laid back vibe. read more

This is one of my favorite Asian grocery stores. They have a nice selection of fresh fish and I especially like their live crabs and lobsters. Their fish selection is vast. You can find just about any fish you're looking for. They have a vast majority of different culture foods in different aisles and unique items. Lee Lee's is the only store that I could find certain ethnic products. Now they have turned to poop. The checker would not wrap my bottles because their new boss said not to. They jingled all the way home. They have quit stocking the foods that I went there for and they are not foreign imports. They have moved some items, but when I could not find them, I was told that they are not carried anymore, only to find them later on another aisle. I am handicapped but their scooter goes backwards on its own and has not been repaired in 2 years. If this gets any worse they will not be open much longer, except maybe for asian products. I don't plan on shopping there anymore. read more

After a tasty lunch at Unphogettable (yes, this is its actual business name which I thought was cute), my eldest daugther and I decided to walk around the plaza. We saw Lee Lee International Supermarket and were curious on what type of groceries it sold. We walked on over here and snoozed around to pass time LOL. Upon entry, it's quite a massive supermarket. Most of the aisles had label signs with the country's name which meant the inventory of items on the shelves in that aisle pertained to that country. Funny, we didn't see an aisle with China or Chinese, but there were Brazil, Hawaii, Holland, Indonesia, Middle East, Phillipines, India, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Goya, Africa, Argentina, Carribean, and Colombia. Quite a variety of goods from the different countries. Maybe the non-country label aisles may have been specific to Chinese... who knows. They also have fresh produce, seafood, meats, frozen goods, and so much more... you name it, they may have it. We spent a good 30 minutes or so here. We were actually looking for dry noodles, but we didn't find the brand we were looking for. We ended up getting some exotic fruits... 1 frozen durian, 1 papaya, and some mangoes. Kid you not, the papaya had 0 seeds... we found out it was a female papaya that wasn't pollenated... it was still safe to eat it though. Durian was delicious! I love my aromatic king of fruit LOL. As for the mangoes, they weren't bad, but I was surprised they had a slight hairy texture to them for that type of mangoes. Staff at the register was okay. The overall supermarket was clean and organized. J Fortune Bakery and Golden Jade Jewelry are located inside this supermarket. We also saw a gentleman who was making red bean and custard waffle-pancake desserts in a very small space. It seemed as though he rented that space just to sell that dessert. Hey, it works! The store is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful whenever we need anything. I was making too many puns in r/sandwiches... The mods had to banh mi. I remember when Lee's Sandwiches used to sell banh mis for $4-5 a sandwich. Nowadays, it's $8. Ack. Come here for the pâté chaud, a freshly baked baguette, and some canned pâté. The #1 combination banh mi is my go-to. I also like the coffee here. You can safely pass on the spring rolls though. Typically a good place to shop with good produce and prices. They have a broad variety of ethnic foods too. However, at the counter the clerk rang us up and our bill seemed a bit too high. Upon checking carefully I found that we were overcharged about $50!!!....on a single item just titled "grocery". When I pointed that out to the clerk, he was neither surprised nor apologetic. They refunded the overcharge. Be very careful and vigilant at the counter here and check your bill before you pay. read more

I think this is a Vietnamese market that also carries items from so many different countries. I've been here many times and although I think of this market as an "Asian" market, it's so interesting to see aisles of Eastern European and African food as well. This market is not as nice as Hmart or Asiana and can use an update but it's closer so it's convenient when I just need a few times. If you're looking for Asian or any other ethic groceries, you might just find them here. They have so many unusual items other stores don't carry so it's fun to explore too. They have live Dungeness crab, coconuts, dragon fruits, cherimoya, durian, Japanese purple potatoes, bags of different types of rice, noodles, tons of frozen meat and seafood, all kinds of fresh meat and even have a section in the freezer with pierogies! There is also a bakery inside the store you can buy cakes, pastries, and pork buns. There is also a gold store but I've never gone inside. Overall, this is a fun convenient international market where you most likely will find what you're looking for and even discover new items. read more

Phew.. finding Asian grocery in Arizona has been a struggle since we've moved here as I've really been living off apps like Weee! to really get all my Asian goods. I'm happy to see Hmart and Ranch 99 exist in the area.. with an upcoming Seafood City! But Arizona does have a long way to go in terms of offering Asian grocery with the growing population. If you're looking for special spices, good cuts of meat, special vegetables and snacks, this place is PACKED with international goods!!! You can tell this place is only one of the few stores in the area that offer what you're looking for as this place gets pretty busy! This was the first international market I shopped in the 80s. I appreciate today the same things. The manager was helpful in many ways. Amazing selection and none of the gimics of other markets. It's not fancy which means I only pay for what I purchase. Prices are either the same and often lower. With a number of other markets I only buy on sale. Lee Lee price is the price. I despise the clubs, digital dollars, coupons and buy more than I want to get the price I would pay at Lee Lee's. I dislike self check out. They essentially sell and have plenty of cashiers. They don't have limits. With many countries offerings I enjoy trying new things. Lastly they seem to retain employees. One reason might be people are not moved from store to store. read more

No not shop here if you want customer service. My wife fell and seriously hurt herself in one of their stores as a result of their negligence. There was no manager on duty and no one from this store offered to call the paramedics or help in any way. My favorite Asian grocery store! This place has the majority of items I need for all the Asian food recipes I cook. There may be times when an item is not in stock but that doesn't happen too often. I prefer this grocery store over Mekong, International Market, HMart, Asiana and 99 Ranch. It's a bit more organized here than some of the others and a bit cheaper compared to a few of the other options. My mom and I have been shopping at Lee Lees since back when the store was at it's original location in Mesa! The owner always recognizes and says hi to us. The store carries everything from fresh produce, seafood, meats, alcohol, snacks and frozen foods. They have specific isles for Thai, Korean, Japanese, Filipino and Indian food. Theres also one for Goya products as well. Wish there was one specifically for Vietnamese, Khmer and Lao food. That would be a nice addition! read more

Customer service is non existent. Know what you want, know where it is, find it yourself, pay and bye bye. The cashiers doing absolutely nothing acts as you if you are interrupting them and most of the customers are rude as well. Whatever happened to "Excuse me." or "Pardon me." I suppose that proper etiquette is not cross cultural. My bad. Two stars for it's close proximity to my house and I no longer have to wonder, "Ooh! This is by far my favorite market to find any sort of ethnic ingredients. For me, it's a dangerous store (like going to Target for one item). I may go to find one thing and leave the place with all kinds of amazing finds. The name is true to form. They have aisles of foods by country. Japan, India, Polish, Korean. They also carry cooking vessels like large pot steamers The workers here are not the most helpful but I think it's due to language barriers. I love this place regardless. I always have a great shopping experience here. I been coming here for the last 15 years. They have a great assortment of Russian chocolate and other ethnicities such as Indian, Korean, Japanese, Caribbean and African. The customer service is top notch if you like being left alone. No chatty or nosey cashiers. I once asked the manager if they sold Lee Lee T-shirts and he offered me and my daughter two for free. read more

After the old owner sold it , about a year now it turns to trash, big lack of customer service, the young cashier are all bad and careless, couldn't count the money correctly, worker slow and talk to the có workers too much rather than focus on their jobs. One of the oldest and best of the Asian markets with excellent and low-priced produce. Lots of options from India, central and so America, Eastern Europe, Thailand, Indonesia, and Japan.
