I have to try every Indian restaurant in town. I want to know which is the best. This would be second on my list in Oceanside. We tried their weekend brunch; 11:30-2:30. I love a buffet. This way I can come back and get a regular meal that I know I will like. They have a nice spread. Pictures included. Service was okay and the place is small but smells great.

We finally stopped by for the weekend buffet , and wow, what a spread! At $20 per person, it's such a great value for the variety and freshness. There's a nice balance of vegetarian and meat dishes, and everything tastes like it's made with care. The chai is self-serve and perfectly spiced, and it just ties the whole experience together. It's such a fun way to sample the menu before deciding what to order for takeout next time. Warm, flavorful, and full of color this is the kind of spot that turns "just lunch" into a little celebration

Going to try something new turned out to be amazing and looking forward to returning. Staff 5-star, Ambiance 4-star and the food I wish to say a 10-star. I'm new to this type of food but man the meat tender, flavors great, sauces just amazing. Great Job to the chef and waitstaff.

Small family owned restaurant with well presented Indian food. We came for the lunch buffet after church and were impressed by the offerings. The sweetest surprise was the chai tea is also included in the buffet. I am really picky when it comes to naan bread. Theirs is actually in my top 3, and l LOVE Indian food (read: l eat a lot of it). Even when l came back to it maybe 10 mins later, it was still pillowy soft. Amazing! The inside has maybe 4 tables and there is also seating outside. We will definitely come back. I am thankful to Yelpers not leading us astray on this one. Wish l had come here 3 years ago when we had just moved here. We have been missing out!

I ordered the chicken Tiki masala with some butter naan bread. Food was flavored nicely. The sauce for the chicken masala was different than I've tried a different places but still fine. Naan bread was very stale and overcooked. Might come back and try something different.

Six indoor tables and outdoor seating too.

Finally-authentic Indian cuisine plus personable, excellent service in North San Diego County! We enjoyed the amazing dishes with mild spice levels as requested (yes, they actually listened!) including aloo gobi, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and more! Be sure to chat with the owner. She's terrific. We will definitely be back.

Their tandoori food is NOT cooked in a clay tandoori oven. It's just roasted chicken chicken with onions and bell pepper on it.

When I arrived, the restaurant was packed. I had to check in and take a number, but they managed to seat us in under 10 minutes. If you're not into crowds, I would definitely avoid Sunday's. My usual visits are during the weekdays when they open first thing for lunch. You get first pick of the buffet offerings and it's much more enjoyable without the crowd. My faves are the Chow Mein, Teriyaki Beef, Fried Rice and Honey Walnut Shrimp. So....if you have a craving for AYCE buffet, check it out!

Disclaimer: Had I not been part of a large gathering that was coming here, I doubt I ever would have come to this buffet. Pros: They had the World Cup playing on a "2017 New" 36ish inch TV with the tags still on it The food was mostly hot The cream cheese wontons were delicious, creamy, and crispy Cons: I tried like 11 items, and only the cream cheese wontons were hittin'. Out of the 11 items I tried, only 3-4 items were passable as decent The food was salty The black pepper chicken tasted like fish The food ended up giving my bubble guts the bubble guts-SHEESH! While there were loads of offerings, which I appreciate, the organization of said offerings were a bit strange. The hibachi was set-up going left to right, while the food stations on either side of it were going right to left, creating this crazy clash of people heading in opposite directions. It just wasn't for me.

I wasn't expecting much to begin with, so maybe that's why I am surprised. Price was still a bargain considering the selection of rather tasty food (it was all pretty good); and, the fact that you can do just what I did, have a bite or two of just about everything before you get full. Then, you can go back for more . . . again. And don't forget to grab a plate of desserts so you can taste those too. A rather sketchy customer crowd, but it is a buffet. Please don't forget to leave the table servers a buck or two. They seemed to be putting in a pretty good effort. Dicks

BUT this one ain't it! There were a handful of items that were decently edible like mashed potatoes and gravy. The salad bar was also alright. It's difficult to mess up chopped lettuce mix because it only requires opening a bag or container and pouring the contents into the bin. Fried chicken was fine as long as you are able to get a piece or two. I noticed if you come in later in the evening, the food is not replenished so you are stuck with bottom of the bin caked on dry remnants. Here are the highlights: the server bringing the drinks and busing tables was doing her best to be happy and welcoming. One of the cooks was very courteous and also did her best to anticipate customer needs. They get two thumbs up! Now for the fun part: The clam chowder was too salty and had an aftertaste of old dirty towel, promising a fitting end to my evening with a bad tummy ache. The cook making the steak didn't seem to care about communicating a single word with the customers. Her sole purpose was to repeatedly flip something that looked like meat and point to a bin full of burned protein hockey pucks. I noticed how the line of hungry patrons grew with eager anticipation as she stopped flipping and started attempting to slice. As each diner finally walked away with something on their plate, she was free to disappear in the back to probably make more clam chowder. I watched a couple seated near me with steak on their plate. Husband was breaking a sweat trying to slice a piece while his wife was busy trying to gracefully eject something inedible from her mouth. Now on to the pinnacle of the meal - dessert time. There wasn't much left, so I chose a slice of pecan pie. It looked promising, like something you could pick up at the local grocery store, but that's where any similarity ends. It tasted old and stale, like it was made from expired corn syrup found at the bottom of the moldy basement. The soft serve ice cream machine was screaming like an exit door alarm every time someone pulled the arm to coax out some frozen ice milk. Then I spotted the highlight of the evening. I didn't think it was possible to mess up jello, but heck you learn something new everyday. I captured that masterpiece in a photo. Sadly, the owner of this location really needs to put many improvements in place. People do enjoy going to buffets and truly miss Souplantation and HomeTown Buffet. Golden Corral has the potential to fill this gap. It is in a good location anchored by Target with lots of parking to serve a busy neighborhood in oceanside. It also has a few employees who still care to do a good job. So please take the good location and good staff and make this Golden Corral a worthy business for hungry patrons looking to spend money at a place with quality food and variety.

Super Solid 4 1/2 stars!!…read more Wifey & I were in Oceanside for our nephew's wedding, and we managed to find this Sizzler on a whim looking for some last-minute clothing items! OMG blast from the past! All the Sizzlers in Las Vegas closed many moons ago! So needless to say we were excited to go try it out! What a revelation! Sizzler really did an excellent job to rebrand the remaining restaurants! Looks soo good, soo clean! Soo friendly! Our hostess at the front cashier stand was excited that we were excited LOL! She said she loves when people come in and see that Sizzler is still up and running! Wifey & I managed to get in on the Weekday Lunch Special too: -Sirloin Steak (Hand Cut 6 0z.) with baked potato - $15.99 Then we both added the Unlimited Salad Bar to our lunch orders for only $10.99 each! AND WOW it's like the salad bar here is the star of the show! Over 50 fresh items daily including soups, a hot bar, and desserts! Count us IN! After ordering and taking a seat - your server comes out to check your receipt and lets you know your order will start cooking shortly. Then they also will ask you, "Would you like some Cheese Toast?" OH Heavens, yes indeed we do! It's been years! While you're waiting for your entree is when you get the chance to hit the salad bar if you purchased it alongside your meal, in my opinion you should NOT skip out! Buy it, it's worth the extra scratch! So many excellent options on the salad bar - lots fresh veggies and prepared salads, a rotation of 4-5 soups, a hot bar that includes chili, pasta & sauce, chicken wings, and even taco meat with all the fixins' so you can make yourself hard- or soft-shell tacos or even a taco bowl! The crew at Sizzler even keeps the salad bar fully stocked and super clean too, hygiene is a plus! Everything tasted fresh and not sitting for long! We went back to the salad bar so many times for lunch, we were STUFFED by the time our entrees came! Our waitress beat us to the punch though, she knew and brought us 2 take-out trays - leftovers for later! Cheese Toast was just as buttery & crunchy & cheesy as I remember, the nostalgia hits you! Before packing up our sirloins to go I did check to see if the quality was good. Great cut of meat grilled to a perfect medium! We ended up eating our steaks and baked potatoes for a late dinner that night in our hotel room. Even after a light nuke in the microwave the entrees were still super tasty! Sure beat a cold pizza that day! Such value at this Sizzler, very clean, very good service! I wish I could remember our server's name she was so lovely to us and treated us well - all we remember was that she used to live in Las Vegas before selling her house and moving to Oceanside! Since this is basically one of the closest Sizzler's to us now, hopefully on our next trip back out to California we'll be back! Gonna need extra helpings of that Cheese Toast!

The person who answered the phone was so kind and helpful. She advised they give a complimentary slice of their cheesecake for the birthday celebrant but didn't sell whole cakes. She informed me about the 85 Degree bakery and Stater Brothers next door. They will gladly store the cake. The menu was a little difficult to understand but once our waiter , sorry I forgot his name explained the combos vs AlaCarte and how much would feed a party of 5 We explained one person ate like a bird 2 of us were starving and 2 were medium hungry. He asked us what we wanted in terms of seafood. We all wanted crab one person didn't want shrimp etc etc. he advised us to start with 3 (bags) boil combos all with crab ,comboed with other seafood to make it a variation. Plus add an extra portion of crab. Well it was perfect. We did 3 different spice variations and shared The table is lined with plastic. A roll of paper towels. Plus the tools. Cracker and extractor. And gloves. Omg we had a blast eating the delicious food. Everything was fresh and just scrumptious. We had one bag with the garlic and old bay. Mild (I love heat but read mild had a kick. ). Which is did but was overall a mild kick. I was slurping the juice out of the clam shells it was so gosh darn good. Our waiter and the rest of the staff checked on us. Refilled our tea and water. We made a pretty good mess of things. Best part is we didn't have to clean up. Our waiter was so thoughtful, when it was time to have cake and open presents he invited us to use a clean table. He brought us plates and forks for the cake too. The restaurant space is kinda different. You walk into the restaurant and you're in a pretty large foyer You move through it to a gigantic dinning area with dozens of tables and booths. It has a huge high ceiling and appears more like a banquet size area. There were several other diners but because of the size of the restaurant it didn't feel crowded. We were trying to figure out what the space was used prior to Crab Pub. It has an Asian twist decor (marble deco columns) but decorated with fishing type props and decorations. It looks like service stations encircled the outer edge of the restaurant. Thinking it was a buffet place in the past. We loved the playlist music Thinking it was club like 80's 'maybe 70's original hits. Thankfully , No piped in cover instrumentals. So it was extra fun to get down and dirty eating and listening to great music. Bathrooms were clean All n all it was reasonably priced (we did Snow Crab as opposed to the King Crab that was pricier ). Recommend for families , and friend groups. Unsure if first date would be good as you have to get into the boil bag and it'll get messy. I hope to come back soon to try more combo seafood and different spice offerings

My mom loves oysters, and they did not disappoint fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth ordering. We also tried the gumbo, and it was incredible rich, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the seafood. The fried shrimp was a little overcooked, and the oil tasted slightly old, but it was still good and definitely not enough to take away from the overall experience.
