Came here with a party of 8. Would not sit us in separate tables four at each table. Stated that since we walked in together they cant split us and since she saw us coming in together they WILL NOT SIT US. Group of veterans and retired law enforcement officers. My wife followed up with the owner/chef Jack Braton. He stated that she "Should have done her homework before coming in." This guy IS the soup Nazi. I could never recommend this establishment based on such a ridiculous policy and rude ownership. Reading other comments on here I noticed that he pretty much is a consistent putz. STAY AWAY!!! AND YES THIS IS THE SAME REVIEW I LEFT ON FACEBOOK AND GOOGLE. Answer to Allison Braton - you turn away a party of 7 (we had eight as I actually stated in the review) - but if the group says "No problem, we don't have to sit together - "Place us four each at two tables, we would just like to have a nice dinner." The answer we received was "We can't do that because we saw you all come in together" - no matter who we tell this story to - it has the same response - asinine policy. Obviously, your husband and yourself have a control issue - why? I don't know, it makes no sense. We told the young lady that we are a bunch of veterans from three hours south of you - your restaurant was at best, 25% full. I truly hope that my fellow vets, riders and first responders and their families see this and compare it to your other one star reviews, and then challenge the validity of these reviews. I appreciate that you also had a friend respond to the Facebook review - keep in mind that it's rather easy to connect the dots nowadays. You have further impeached your credibility as business owners by placing a shill response. You cheated out customers and mostly you cheated out your staff that lost tips for the evening. Outstanding farm to table restaurant. Had a lengthy chat with the chef after dinner, and he is truly dedicated to sourcing locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and meats and is fully engaged in supporting small farms. The food is absolute perfection and was meticulously presented with edible flowers. I had a rib special - very generous portion falling off the bone, and substituted sweet potato mash for brown rice and it was a delectable fluffy cloud of happiness, with perfectly grilled brussels sprouts. My dining companion had the maple salmon special and it was creamy and melt in your mouth deliciousness. On a gorgeous bed of mixed veggies including sweet corn and kale, perfectly cooked and spiced. We ordered virgin versions of their locally sourced mixed drinks including one with cucumber and mint and another with watermelon and mint and they were really refreshing and perfect! Don't skip the bread. They have these tiny pretzel buns, soft hot pretzel bread and the server presented us with a dipping sauce of a chocolate infused balsamic vinegar with a blood orange infused olive oil. We normally don't even eat gluten and we demolished that thing, it was so delicious. We went with the chef's special sweet potato cheesecake for dessert and again, beautifully presented and unbelievably tasty. We were there on a quiet night in off-season and our server, Jill was absolutely lovely, helpful, knowledgeable and we enjoyed her company. She had a welcoming vibe and we were really happy to find this place! The only comment I would make is that the lighting is quite dim. It was hard to take nice shots of the beautiful plates because it was pretty dark in there. There is leading around the edges of the room but we sat at a center table in there was only one dim light source. In order to serve their beautiful food piping hot and in a timely manner, they do not accommodate parties larger than six. So keep that in mind and keep your group small to enjoy this awesome, romantic, well thought out farm to table restaurant! read more

Located down a nondescript side street within the quaint downtown of Leesburg. Spacious interior which allows privacy for most tables, and a few covered sidewalk tables. Currently, tastefully decorated for the holidays. We sampled quite a few different dishes. The protein portion of the selections were well cooked and tasted delicious. We don't give out many 5 star reviews but this one is well deserved. Jill, our server was top notch. We dine out a lot and we avoid chains but with the quarantine this was our 1st dine in at a restaurant in a couple of months. Jill was great, she's been here since the restaurant opened 5 years ago and knows the menu and restaurant history inside out. And the food prepared by the chef/owner, Jack, did not disappoint. We started with the Fried Oysters fir sn appetizer. The Oysters were plump and juicy and were an excellent starter. The Shrimp and Grits lunch were full of big, fat shrimp and grits that were the perfect consistency. The Burger Salad was a good size salad with the burger at the requested medium/well with a bourbon honey mustard dressing that was delicious. For dessert we tried the Sweet Potato Cheesecake and it was perfect ending to a delicious lunch. So again, great job taking care of us Jill in a confident, professional and friendly manner. And as we told Jill before we left, "please give our compliments to the chef!" It's a bit of a hike from Altamonte Springs to Leesburg but it was nice to get out of quarantine and discover Turner's. I definitely recommend Turners for a date night or small gathering with friends. It is more on the quiet side, so I would not recommend bringing children. Food is good but the owner is rude and full of himself. We had a reservation for 6:00 but arrived 30 minutes early. The hostess said she could get us seated shortly, but we continued to wait as she sat people walking in after us. The owner came out and told us that if we don't have a reservation we couldn't get a table. We told him we had a reservation but arrived earlier than expected. He told us he had limited staff and wouldn't seat us before our reserved time. We were shocked by his attitude when he told us that "if we were unhappy we could go somewhere else , as there are plenty of other restaurants in the area". We should have left at that point, but we were so looking forward to eating there as we had previously had a good meal there. My entrée-extremely undercooked. Sent it back- it returned in a to go bag by the owner/chef. Asked for it to be taken off the bill , the owner refused. The place was empty , should have been the first heads up. The trout bland, Skip the deviled eggs and over breaded Fried Green Tomatoes My father noted his Salmon was ok. Bland Environment. Our lunch bunch had unpleasant experience. We requested a table for 7; "they don't' seat more than 6." So, requested two tables next to one-another; "oh, no can't do that." "We seat no more than 6." The hostess was quite curt, and said she'd send a manager. Manager reiterated they wouldn't seat more than 6 people in a party. Manager said this is the way they've conducted business for 8 years. Then we asked a departing customer about the food - he said "I plead the fifth amendment." Manager suggested we go to Prime 3; thoroughly enjoyed Prime 3, glad he made the suggestion. Doink, that's the sound of my jaw dropping once I walked into Turners. Don't let the exterior fool you, the interior is stunning. I feel as if I'm in Buckhead, or Scottsdale or any large metropolitan suburb. It's energetic and at the same time zen. The service impeccable, nice guy, made sound suggestions; however, I went with the Tuna Poke. Now my critique of the Poke is mixed. Only because I like a more Asian influenced Poke. Turners rendition of Poke was plated beautifully, very lightly dressed, with micro-greens and coleslaw at the bottom. Yes, it tasted as good as it look, but I'd dump the coleslaw as it was the prominent taste, put some shoyu and mirin sauce on it and anything but coleslaw. Still, if you gave it another name, it would be good. Next I got the Cheese Burger, and coleslaw as a side. (Note I did not know I'd see it in the poke) it was awesome, I felt as if I shoulda ordered more, but I put in burger coma. Really very pleased the burger had real flavor and it was huge. If you want to go to a restaurant where they will not substitute sides, charge you $12 to share a plate with your 95 year old mother, treat you with indignity when you have 7 people to celebrate your 95 year old mother's birthday not knowing they have a 6 people policy, and have an in your face response from the owner on yelp or trip advisor when you make a negative review then this place is for you. I'm a native of Leesburg and I can guarantee you this is not how people from my hometown treat each other and the elderly. To turn away a group with a wheelchair and balloons when they are empty sounds like an awesome business model. They have a right to their seating policy and I have a right to my review. I made reservations for my 2nd wedding anniversary about a month in advance. My appetizer was really good however I could have gone with a little more of the blood orange oil and the chocolate balsamic vinegar. The lemon micro greens on top gave the dish a fresh finish. Very good! My husband really enjoyed his fried oysters Main meal was the shrimp and grits for myself and my husband had the grilled filet with Brussel sprouts and sweet potato mash. The shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had. The shrimp were plentiful, deliciously plump and juicy. The grits are so flavorful with a sauce made with pork. Outstanding! My husband loved his steak, though a little to rare for his taste. With that said, he ate every last bite and it was very tender. He also loved the vegetables.
