Italian Fisherman Omelet and Cucumber Citrus Dragonade
    Stan H.

I had a coupon awarded to me and I could not use it at Media or Newtown Square. So I made more of a hike to Bryn Mawr. I didn't wait for the weekend because I was afraid I would forget to use it and I have a lot going on this month. I ended up trying their new Italian Fisherman Omelet which is lobster meat with prosciutto on an omelette w cheese. I chose greens and buttered sour dough for my add on sides. The greens were fresh and the bread was good. The omelette was reasonably fresh. Despite being a regional chain, you know your food here will typically be good quality. They have a reasonably big enough menu. I still prefer First Watch and Bittersweet Kitchen more personally, but I wouldn't say no to a Turning Point either. The waitress was nice even though I couldn't order the food until later on in the day due to work and all the patrons had left by 230 and it was about 235 PM. The website I used said closing at 3 but they underandably stop seating at 230 PM. I don't always like to leave a tip for take out but since they held the food for me past hours kind of and since I had an online coupon that I used, it was the least I could do.

    Not a clean place.

This was the worst eating experience we have ever had. Watch people work out without orders taken. Wait 40 minutes for pancakes. Not a clean place either. The owners should close this place sell it and have someone else take over. Run very poorly. They should be embarrassed as owners.

We stopped here for breakfast before looking at Bryn Mawr College. Extensive but standard breakfast/brunch fare but also very delicious. The dish that stood out (especially to the teenager) was cinnamon roll pancakes- they were huge and lots of cinnamon and very tasty (although as much a dessert as a breakfast:) Seemed to be mostly a slightly older set. Service was good.

Really great service- friendly and fast even during the lunch rush. Bacon lollies are ok- kinda mushy. Very sweet and not much bacon flavor. Bacon isn't crispy or thick enough. Overpowered by apple sweetness Chicken salad- good and fresh very creamy with lots of Mayo. Thick hearty toast is a perfect compliment with the chicken salad. Lemon dressing is really good. Refreshing but very citrusy. Ranch has too much pepper for me. Balsamic is good basic flavor Chop chop salad is really good. Chicken tenders on a salad is always a great choice in my book! Seaside Jersey sandwich is good. Basic Turkey club.

First time at Turning Point and it did not disappoint. The service was good, although the server had quite a few tables. It has a farm to table kind of ambiance. The food was amazing!! Shakshuka was just a tiny bit spicy, and had 3 poached eggs (more than I could eat) and the ciabatta was perfectly toasted Husband had the Wilbur skillet which he loved.

Nice experience! Place is open and airy - Staff friendly and service very good. There were 3 of us and we all honed in on the Eggs Benedict for lunch, something that you don't really see all that much on menus. The Avocado Smash Benny was very good and was Ciabatta bread, avocado smash, plum tomato, bacon, two poached eggs and hollandaise. (That counted for 2 orders). The Classic was also very good and was served on an English muffin, ham, tomato, two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Nice menu with many choices. Open for breakfast/brunch/lunch.

The food and service is amazing! I'll definitely be back again to try another thing on the menu!

This place is empty. Did not enjoy my omelette very much. The service was subpar. Not going to return to this restaurant again.

Coffee is very good. Lots of selections. Servers are friendly. Western Omelet and waffle with fruit were delicious. Would recommend.

Located in Bryn Mawr on Conestoga Rd, there is a private lot and street parking available. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. We were greeted by a friendly server before we even stepped inside. The host station is right inside and we were welcomed warmly once again. They offered us our choice of inside/outside seating. Being our first time there we wanted to see the interior. I mentioned this and they gave us a great table upstairs overlooking the restaurant. The store is decorated with a lot of Italian transportation...small cars and Vespas. I loved the high ceilings, and the upper level seating. They also have a huge TV on the wall, and decorated for the 2026 World Cup, despite Italy not qualifying! Our server, Alex, was very personable despite being busy with a large bday gathering and several other tables. He made us feel welcome as he went over the specials and took our orders. I got the chicken Parmesan which is my goto litmus test, while my date got the beet salad with grilled chicken. The food arrived promptly and looked and tasted delicious. My chicken parm was yummy, crispy chicken with melted cheese over delicious spaghetti! The beet salad was also well received. We saw several tables getting some delicious bread and asked for a basket. I thought it may be complimentary however it was 8$ a basket. They make it in house and drizzle it with olive oil. Served with some fresh rosemary and soft butter, it was delicious and well worth the price, just don't fill up on it! We were pressed for time so turned down their house made gelato, however we passed the gelato station on the way out and regretted this decision, it looked amazing! I mentioned to Alex that my entree was delicious but what set the restaurant apart was the service and atmosphere. It was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Some Italian places can be a bit on the cool/formal side so this was a nice change. Stop in and check it out, save some room for that bread and the gelato!

We decided to stop at The Grog Grill which I had only been to once before in the 23 years I've lived in the area. I recalled that at that time, the Grog burger had been named best of the Main Line so I tried it and thought it was definitely not the best burger. The service was excellent, the pub environment was pub-like, we were seated at a high top at the back of the restaurant and next to a door to to the outside which made it very cold! I wore my heavy coat the entire meal. Cobb salad - 3/5, I think it's hard to mess up a cobb salad, but this was just okay. Tons of bacon bits and not a lot of salad greens, almost like a deconstructed salad which is weird for pub food. Mushroom flat bread - 3/5, just okay What redeemed our lunch was that when we asked for the check, our lovely server told us that the older gentleman at the bar had taken care of it along with the checks for several other patrons that day. That's never happened to me before! I will need to pay it forward...just maybe not at The Grog Grill.

Service: each person with whom we interacted (hosts, manager, food runners and especially our server...she was fantastic). Food: For the table, we got Calamari: very light and crispy, but the meat was nice and tender Pepperoni and soppressata pizza: excellent, with an amazing sauce, sausage and crispy outside tender inside crust. Dinner: The kids both got the Rigatoni Vodka. This is what I had the first time we visited. It was just as delicious. Packed with flavor and the sausage was perfect. Tender, and just a touch of heat. My wife got the Gemelli. A pistachio pesto - this was probably the best pesto I've ever tasted. Creamy, fill of flavor and a touch of acid that brightened it up nicely. Incredible. I got the Bucatini Amatriciana. Pomodoro sauce with guanciale. Blew me away. The pomodoro was unbelievably well balanced. Exact amount of sweetness, slightly acidic and the guanciale brought the salty note, in the form of crispy crunchy bacon flavor, but surprisingly tender. Blown away. We had to try dessert. Tiramisu: it was as good as expected. Very well made Vanilla Panna Cotta: this was exceptional (like pretty much the rest of the meal) delicate and creamy, and a huckleberry compote (?) that was insanely good. A touch of salt was in there to make it positively sing. I could not more highly recommend giving this place a try. Absolutely the whole package. Loved it and will be back!

For my main course, I had a crispy fried chicken cutlet topped with a perfectly dressed Caesar salad (not on the menu but absolutely worth asking for). I believe it was around $31 and worth every bite. The frosé was spot on too but order it as soon as you sit down so it has time to reach that perfect consistency. The service was amazing . Everything was on point. I'll definitely be back!
